Love the honesty on the sub: "I'll get to it another day... which means probably never." Isn't that always the way? You "just set it up like this for the time being" and then when you decide to reorganize the shop in 10 years you remember you never actually got around to it. The amount of 95% completed projects in shops absolutely outweigh the number of actually completed projects.

It doesn't scan though. For that, an RF explorer is the way to go. Super portable, and you can connect it to a laptop to export the scan to a CSV file. You can then import that into Shure's Wireless Workbench software, which is free, and will do your frequency coordination for you. Works amazingly well using real time data from your location, not just a database of TV towers.

Coming from a machining and fabrication background, the best value for a good welder is to find a used one at an auction. Really good quality used machines are almost always better than new. One of my dad's biggest customers rebuilds old grinders and retrofits with new CNC controllers, motors, etc., just because they "don't make 'em like they used to".
