I think this specific story beat will explored further in the Ahsoka standalone series or/and The Mandalorian Season 3. Ahsoka and Luke sure have an interesting dynamic that has so much potential.

Ahsoka came to realize that the the jedi order is not without its flaws but so did Yoda and subsequently Luke... I think as she got to know Luke, she realized that he does not want to repeat the mistakes of the past. It was even established in canon that Luke decided to explore the galaxy first and simply learn BEFORE starting to teach others. Also, he managed to get through to Anakin and finish what Ahsoka started and unfortunately failed to do; yes, I believe she managed to ignite a small spark of Anakin within Vader back on Malachor. Both Obi-Wan and Yoda wanted Luke to kill Vader since they assumed Anakin could not be reached and yet Luke chose to stick with his insticts and as a result helped to bring back balance to the force. With all that being said, the dynamic between Ahsoka and Luke is extremely interesting and I feel like both of them have something to teach the other. A lot of potential in there that I am sure Dave Filoni is well aware of.

@LoreFreak is there anything on the books that says Lucasfilm can't use the World between Worlds to give us an alternate version of how a sequel trilogy could play out. I'm not saying retcon the sequels because I know some people like them; I'm simply saying they could show us what happens if Ben never turns and such... they could make billions upon billions if they gave us a new trilogy; one that involves grogu, Luke, Ashoka & more... .. just saying.

I think Yoda wanted Luke to face Vader. I don’t think Yoda thought Luke would kill Vader, only that he’d best him. He did. He did surpass Obi Wan by not killing his father. He helped bring Anakin out of the shadow of the dark side.

I desperately need to see more of them together. Especially a master and apprentice bond between them somehow. Just like Obi-wan and Anakin or Anakin and her.

I prefer to watch it in this perspective: Before Rebels ahsoka always sided with Anakin and opposed to what the jedi order taught them. "Attachment leads to the dark side". After order 66 she always believed the Jedi had failed Anakin. Even after she started suspecting about Vader being Anakin she always thought the process could be inverted and that Anakin could be brought back to the light side. However, after having discovered what Anakin had become, sensing all the hate, violence and villany in him she started believing he could not be brought back. She says to Ezra in the World Between World's as she is watching the duel between her and Vader, tempted to intervene and save him, "you cannot save your master, and I can't save mine". She accepts what Obi Wan and Yoda believed: Anakin can't be redeemed for "he is more a machine than a man now, twisted and evil". She now agrees on what the jedi order tried to teach her and Anakin: attachment leads to the dark side. In front of her eyes she now sees the proof of this: Anakin has been consumed by his attachment to those who he loved. Luke however doesn't commit the same error: he refuses to believe his father is unredeemable and senses the conflict between light and dark inside him. This is because differently from ahsoka he hasn't been influenced by the jedi order, he hasn't spent his whole life being taught abot letting go of attachments, he has inherited his mother last thoughts before she died: "there is still good in him, I know it". For this reason Ahsoka warns Luke about teaching Grogu to let go of those he loves. She doesn't train him in first person as she fears his attachment to Mando could lead to more troubles. When Mando comes to the planet she doesn't let him see grogu because of this reason. So in a sense we could say that Ahsoka suffered an involution in her character after she was shocked by what had happened to Anakin which led her to return to her masters teachings. What an arc she had

And then she goes on a further arc in her own series with Sabine. Sabine risks everything to save her long lost friend Ezra. It's betrayal for Ahsoka but it sets into motion the events of where Ahsoka needs to be in this timeline. I think Ahsoka needs to learn that healthy attachments actually make Jedi stronger and wiser and more selfless. It is what Kanan Jarrus realized before he made his ultimate sacrifice. And it is something that Luke seems to know intrinsically. That's why he rejects Obi-Wan's and Yoda's training and goes off to rescue his friends. He spends a year away from them learning how to be a good Jedi with attachments that make him better. And that's why he was able to reach Anakin saving him and ultimately defeating the Emperor. People often miss this because the prequels made such a big deal about Jedi rejecting attachments. But that was false. It was the wrong teaching to give and it is what led to the downfall of the Jedi Order.

It still astounds me how much Disney Star Wars writers suck. All they do is rip off of the original trilogy with no original thought whatsoever. The fight between Ashoka and Vader was a carbon copy of ROTJ. I never noticed it until watching this.
