Ahsoka Tano - The Journey
Фильм және анимация
"To understand Ahsoka Tano, is to understand what she means to people." - Ashley Eckstein
*SPOILER WARNINGS* Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2, The Clone Wars and Rebels.
This is a tribute to Ahsoka Tano, a character that went on a journey unlike any other in the Star Wars franchise. Ahsoka's Fate is intertwined with that of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and both are truly tragic - Ahsoka was unable to save Anakin from his downfall before she was even sketched by Dave Filoni for the first time or any of her dialogue was written. That was my main focus when planning out the structure of this edit.
Despite the fact that Ahsoka left the Jedi Order, I believe past the 5th season of the Clone Wars her core narrative was about being more of a jedi than other actual jedi.

Special thanks goes to Dave Filoni and Georce Lucas, without them (and obviously all the other numerous creatives involved) there would be no Ahsoka Tano.

The character of Ahsoka means more to me than I can put into words, I grew up with her and The Clone Wars as a lifelong Star Wars fan and she made me appreciate other narratives in the franchise even more. I hope I did her justice with this edit, I poured my heart and soul into it. I'd also like to give a huge shoutout to Samuel Kim for allowing other content creators such as myself to use his music in their work. His pieces elevated this to a whole new level. I have been a fan of StarWars since I was 3 (1979) and honestly wasn't a huge fan of Ahsoka at first. I am now in the same boat. She is my favorite character of the entire saga (Artooy is a close 2nd) This is so well done!
I introduced my nephew to Star Wars when he was just a little kid. Many years later he introduced me to Ahsoka. At first I thought it was just a silly character in a silly cartoon. Fortunately, he insisted, and I ended up giving it a try.

any updates now that the new show is out?
The padawan outlived the master as is the natural way of things, what saddens me now that we know Ahsoka lives past Anakin is that she was not present to say goodbye and as far as we know still has not learned of his children Luke and Leia or even met them. Everyone that she once knew Obi-wan, Anakin, Padme, Bail organa, Yoda have all passed away without her being able to say goodbye even Rex is presumably gone now due to accelerated aging. Ahsoka truly has lost all remnants of her past and is alone in the galaxy with only mori to accompany her
@LoreFreak

Yup, her, Anakin and Obi-Wan are all extremely tragic characters.
@Webshooters1

Maybe she did and we just didn't see it. Perhaps Anakin appeared to her and gave her the chance to say goodbye and that in the end he did indeed return to the light after being lost in the dark for so long.

There could still be a chance Rex is still alive. The Mandalorian takes place 5yrs after Return Of The Jedi, and we know that Rex took part in the Battle Of Endor with Hera Syndulla. So there might still be a chance he's not dead yet.
@Webshooters1
3 жыл бұрын
@@robbiecook6530 Well we can't forget the clones had accelerated aging and by the time of ROTJ he's pretty damn old. Kicking ass yes but up there in age. 5 years could be 10 years for Rex. I hope he's still alive as well but he's gonna have to die at some point. My personal headcanon is he became a military instructor for the New Republic, teaching new recruits the tactics of the GAR and passing on both his wisdom and the creed he lived by. If anyone deserved a good retirement it's Rex but I can see him taking on a mentor role. Imagine him talking about how Anakin would pull the craziest stunts and battle plans and inexplicably work xD

I feel there should be some kind of a Luke, Anakin and a Ahsoka connection. Done on dagobah. There is more to the planet. Qui-Gon Jinn summon Yoda. in season 6 of Clone wars. Yoda essence is very strong there because he died there the planet holds more mysteries that surround the planet. And Ahsoka can find most of her answer there that why I feel this way
This all hits so much harder after watching Season 7 of The Clone Wars. That last moment when she and Anakin reunite would be the last time she saw him until Twilight Of The Apprentice. It's even sadder when you consider the fact she is all that remains of the Republic as it once was. Still I hold out hope that at some point in her journey Anakin's Force Ghost appeared to her and gave her the chance to see her old master one more time, to apologize for everything that happened and he did return to the light after being lost in the darkness for so long by the love for his son.

What I see in ahsoka is a lone wolf who isn’t afraid of anything.
I loved ahsoka tano from the first moment i saw her. I didnt know that there was a rebels or movies or anything. I dont really remember how i found the clone wars, just that it was my childhood. Now, 8 years later, she has grown and taught me lessons that i will never forget.
She has grow so much over the years.
My favourite character ever. The reason why I love Star Wars. Ahsoka is simply the best
Ahsoka was one of the last straws that broke Anakin Skywalker's back... to leave the Jedi Order. The Jedi treatment of his padawan Ahsoka Tano was a very thin line time for Anakin Skywalker. That treatment showed the evidence to Anakin of the Order's misdirection, mishandling and mismanagement of its subjects. Not knowing at the time Palpatine was behind the whole Ahsoka/Jedi Order mishap, Palpatine exposed to Anakin what the Jedi Order really was... a group of individuals CLAIMING to be protectors of the peace, yet killing as much as, if not more, than the others they were at WAR with. When Anakin finally received this point of view in the Revenge of the Sith, coupled with the mistreatment of the Order of his Padawan in The Clone Wars, he was on the verge of getting ready to leave the Order then. And then Palpatine asked to be saved from Mace Windu. It's all Anakin could stand. Once the decision was made, Anakin was a %100er. From that point, he was ALL IN.
This is like the worlds longest trailer for a show that doesn’t exist
Beautifully edited 👏 I really enjoyed how you were able to incorporate so much of the audiobook.

God I love her music. Ahsoka is one of my favorite characters in Star Wars no question. This editing plus the music was spot on too. I definitely got a bit emotional watching this. I hope we get more of her in Mando even now that she has her own spin off series. I loved the part where she was telling Dyn and Grogu about her past and Wnakin and then it cuts to him falling to the dark side and there confrontation in Rebels. And then it cuts back to her saying to the best of us.

There is a small chance she appears in the finale though I think we won't see her anymore in Mando, she is way too powerful and with her involvement, it would take away from Din Djarin's accomplishment of stopping Gideon.

Wow this was amazing! One of the best fan edits I’ve seen on here and you’ve really done Ahsoka justice here. It’s edits like these that stitch all the key moments and similarities in scenes that always make me realise how much I love Ahsoka as a character, her development is unlike any other character in Star Wars to date. She has a detailed backstory, we see her become a padawan and watch her grow as a Jedi, we see her leave to face the galaxy on her own although not really by choice, we see her reunite with old friends and fight some of the hardest choices that we face in our lives, we see her mature further yet and watch as she mentors others the way she was mentored with all the lessons and flaws she learned along the way. She has by far the most perfect character development in the franchise and we all should give thanks to Dave Filoni for creating her and developing her in the best way he could. Also thanks to George, as without him, we would not have the franchise we all live and breathe today and I think many people who create in this franchise he created seem to forget and do not give the proper nurturing, care and respect the franchise and it’s fans deserve. Again though, I loved the video and I really feel if she were a real living person in this world, as much as I may wish she was, you would have done her proud. Awesome job!

When I watch this I feel sadness but also anger as the council made her leave, the jedi didn't allow feelings, the jedi didn't allow attachments, the jedi had allowed so much death to come from their blindness, the jedi temple was her home but the second they had suspicion the second they doubted her the jedi cast her out, the jedi cared not for her till their eyes were opened that they were wrong and they couldn't even admit they were wrong. The jedi were peacekeepers for over a thousand years yet war came and they changed everything from caring about each other to all for yourself
