To me, Kashmir will always be peak Led Zeppelin. It is their masterpiece. Their Magnum Opus. The sound quality of this performance is just superb. Jason Bonham did his dad proud.

I agree. I know everyone migrates to "Stairway" as their pinnacle, but "Kashmir" is of another world, and truly something to behold. Was there ever a rock song that had the melody capturing the lyric so perfectly?

Interesting choice, I know some would go for more complex songs like Achilles Last Stand, or STH or maybe even something like Battle of Evermore, but the one thing about Kashmir is it has stood the test of time like no other LZ song, it someone like Muse or Radiohead released Kashmir in the 90's or 2010's everyone would still think how fresh and contemporary it sounded.

My husband was playing this song one night way….way back in 1974…he was staying up studying….I had gone to bed and was asleep…then I woke up to this song….my whole body was moving to the beat of this song…it was the weirdest thing….so when I hear this song …it takes me back to our early married years…we celebrated 51 years of marriage this year…

So happy you had Led all of your life together, SOOOOO LUCKY
The rock Gods are still on top of their game. 👍👍👍👍
Back together 27 years later for one night only, to show the entire world exactly why Led Zeppelin is the GOAT.
Proof that age is just a number!! Even though this was their last concert together and they are much older...they still are the GOAT !!

Absofriggenlutely!! Some folks place Stairway as their favorite Zepplin, but this has been my #1 for over 40 years. It never fails to travel me back to an ancient bedouin camel train stopped at an oasis for the night.

Led Zeppelin in their 60's were still better than any other rock band ever!
Perfection didn’t miss a beat. I’m sure John is looking down from heaven proud of his son on drums
Fun fact. When Led Zeppelin announced they were performing again there were 20 million requests for tickets.

Kashmir is a song that, once you hear it, will change your musical life forever. And the fact that they can be so spot on in a live performance 50 years later is astounding, and a testament to their greatness.

Several documentaries talk about how led zeppelin could go without rehearsal and just show up amd change things during a live show and still be tighter than any band that rehearsed all day. Kind of easy to believe when you listen to live shows and see how they change the songs quite a bit and it sounds as good as the original.
It could be argued that this is the greatest rock song ever recorded.

This, IMO, is the best version of Kasmir. These guys were giving a class on how to perform. Showing the youngsters how it was done.
An iconic final performance for these legends. They did not go gentle into that good night. Led Zeppelin wielded the hammer of the gods, for one last time. Epic.
Led Zeppelin: Let me take you there. Me: I’m there.
History's Greatest Rock Band.
Kashmir, is peak Zeppelin, and one of, if not the most iconic rock songs ever! It's impossible to overstate just how influential, Led Zeppelin, has and continues to be to music, these guys are musical royalty!
Look up Jimmy Page, The Edge (U2), & Jack White (The White Stripes) "Kashmir". Jimmy shows them how he came up with the riff & how to play it.
All I can say, the drummer was killing it. I just LOVE this song.

Greatest rock song - EVER Greatest rock group - EVER Any questions?
I saw Robert Plant, and Jimmy Pages :No Quarter" tour in 1994 here in Tennessee. Hands down one of the best concerts I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of concerts in the 70's, and 80s.
The greatest band that ever walked the face of the earth!!!
My opinion, Led Zeppelin best rock band ever.
Saw Led Zeppelin several times as a teen and in my 20's, you can't go wrong!
Back in the day if Kashmir was playing we were stoned. Zeppelin never gets old.

It's good to see you young kids enjoy old folks music...(I'm 65)
This is from their 2007 concert. There were 20 million requests for tickets to this show. Yes, I said 20 million.
One of their very best!
This was 2006...they were in their 60s! STILL the greatest!!
Well done my friends. Led Zeppelin always delivered top shelf rock and roll. 🤟🤟 Go crazy man.🤪
This is in many ways, Led Zeppelin at their peak. Older. Much wiser. Flawless.
Shawn & Mel I appreciate the respect you always put on Led Zeppelin. Kashmir is always my come to Jesus song. I'm so glad y'all love it too!
FyI when it was announced that Led Zeppelin was going perform at this tribute concert for one night only. World records were set in tickets request in just a few hours. 20 million unheard of, so they had to have a lottery for the lucky 20 thousand people to witness the greatness that night.
Keep in mind all 3 original members are in their 70's here. The drummer is son of the original drummer John Bonham, who passed away and Led Zepplin would not go on without him. One of my favorite cruising songs, turn it up loud!!

There's a reason they're called Led Zeppelin... Greatest band ever....
I am old enough to remember when the Physical Graffiti album came out. It was trashed by most critics because it was not like Led Zepplin's earlier sound. I remember the first time hearing Kashmir when I was in college. I loved it just like the two of you. Over time, it seems the critics have come around to the idea that this song is a CLASSIC! Rock on you two!🤘
This is my favorite Led Zeppelin song. I think Robert Plant and Jimmy Page agree.
The drummers father was the original Zeppelin drummer. RIP John Bohnam
Kashmir is such an amazing tune it just sounds otherworldly and how does Jimmy Page make one guitar sound like an orchestra.
They KILLED IT! Hope for all of us getting old and better!😂
And Led is back!!! Thank you!

Just loved your reaction to the greatest band of all time. Welcome to Zepp x
Excellent!! Now I have to listen to Black Dog...maybe a few more songs
I had all of their albums way back then....loved nearly all of their songs. This one though is tops. I believe the three remaining members were near 60 years, ±2 yrs, here in this video.
The performances for Celebration Day in 2007 were the last for this illustrious group and did they go out with a bang. Robert Plant was 59 and Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were in their early 60's and yes, as he always did whenever he played with them, Jason Bonham made his dad, the late John Bonham proud. Papa couldn't have done it any better.

I've been listening to Zeppelin for over 50 years now. I remember buying this album, "Physical Graffiti", back in high school. This has to be, out of many, favorite Zeppelin songs. After watching this video and knowing they still sounded as good as they did 31 years earlier, this was 2006, is amazing. You have to take in the fact thatas a band they stopped playing in 1980 after the death of John Bonham. His son Jason fills in nicely here.
Robert Plant in his 70's still killin it
God was with them on this evening. Spectacular.
So many people drop back and call "Stairway to Heaven" as their favorite Zepplin song and it is a slightly good song I say tongue and cheek of course it's a masterpiece but "Kashmere" is my favorite Zeppelin song!!
Saw them 5 times. My high school boyfriend was a Zeppelin fanatic. They were unbelievable. Tickets were a whopping $18.75 . Pure rock magic.❤❤
Can’t go wrong with Led Zeppelin and Kashmir, if a group called Led Zepagain plays, go see them
Bro I LOVE YOUR ENERGY in this reaction and girl that beautiful smile you share from pure joy in this MASTERPIECE is fantastic.
The best version of their true masterpiece. Amazing, amazing performance!
The epitome of Led Zep!
Should listen to the studio version as well.
I remember them when they started. Saw there first gig in the uk. I’m the same age as Jimmy Page they still have it 50 years on amazing
What I have to remark: All of this members of the band LED ZEPPELIN you've seen here were around 20 to 25 years old while composing such epic songs like "Kashmir", "Whole Lotta Love" or "Stairway"... It was in the early 70ths. Nearby: LED ZEPPELIN were THE FOUNDER of a new music categorie: HARD ROCK! Nothing else without them!
I was at this show at the o2 live. It is the number 1 highlight of my life. When they played thos song several of us in the crowd could be heard saying we got goosebumps and it got so electric. Pages swagger went through the roof. This literally was the best song of the night. Plant sang this as close to the original as possible. I will never forget this show for as long as i live and am greatful i got to see them even if it was not the original band. Jason did an amazing job filling his fathers shoes. RIP Bonzo your legacy is in good hands.
That was a great performance! Appreciate you guys showing that! I was in 10th grade when that came out 1974, definitely one of their best and I gotta say Robert Plant Jimmy page look and sound great, Jason Bonham killing it just like his dad did.
And this was 40 years after the original recording
To think they are in their 60's in this performance. Very special that Jason plays drums so well in place of his father John who unfortunately passed away some time ago. Cant beat Led Zep live
"My headphones are on FIRE!" Best reaction I have heard yet of Led Zep!! Both of your faces were amazing as this song just keeps building upwards. Great job, thanks guys you really made me smile just now. Listening to Led Zeppelin is like haviong a religious experience. Enjoy the long rabbit hole of thee GOAT Rock band ever.
They were, are and WILL ALWAYS BE the ultimate rock band.
its funny ....when my mom came to Canada from west Bromwich England in 1954 Robert Plant was a six year old from the same town...by the way this man is 65 here ....what a band!
It just still amazes me these guys were all their 70's at this...dang....I gotta workout..

That is their work out for sure❤
Pure Rockstar’s 🤘🤘
The group was in Morocco in 1974, when Robert wrote the lyrics. It was recorded and released in 1975 on the Pphysical Graffiti album. The group got together in 2007, and this live version was recorded. Jason Bonham inherited his late father’s skills on the drums. John Paul Jones, who always held the band together, played double keyboards and what would have been his bass guitar part was played using his left foot. Jimmy Paige had cleaned himself up by the time this was recorded. He explained in an interview, that the driving riff was actually the end part of another unnamed song. Thank goodness it was decided to use it to drive Kashmir through its entirety. And then we have Robert Plant, whose vocals show no diminishment with age. The power that he had to hit those notes, and to hold them for so many beats is why Zeppelin will always be in the Parthenon of great rock groups. No auto tuning, no gimmicks, just raw unfettered talent that makes this live version better than the original album track. For so many of us, we were glad to be kids of the 70’s and were able to expand our musical tastes in so many creative directions. Watching you both appreciate this iconic song gives so many of us older folks hope that when we’re no longer on this earth, that at least two more generations have found, listened and appreciated the music of our youth. Thank you for your wonder reaction.
I'm not a big Zeppelin fan, but dang--did Robert Plant & crew get better with age? They killed it.
I had the privilege to see Robert Plant & Jimmy Page in concert twice when they were doing the "Page/Plant" tour. At the second show they had John Paul Jones and John Bonham's son Jason (that's him on drums in this video) and they basically did a set of Zep songs. One of the best concerts I've ever seen!
And these guys were in their 60s when they did this performance. The respect is deep.
such a jam-they were on that night-nice reaction guys.
The ultimate response was the look on both of your faces and then you rewound it and didn't realize he did it for you double..... if I never saw another response I would be pleased to death. That was great. I love that Led Zeppelin When I was a teenager and I still love them now. God bless you both and nothing but love!🥰😜💗💗💗💗

First time watching you guys. That was some real emotion right there from both of you that earned my sub. Love some Zepp . Thanks
The drummer is the son of the late original drummer, John Bonham. One of their best songs.
