You can't hear CCR and not get hooked. That funky, gritty sound just gets to you. Without question, one of the BEST BANDS EVER!. You guys looked like you were having a blast with this one.

Hands down, my favorite CCR song. Simple, short, peaceful. Perfect.

This is one of their most under rated songs, IMHO. It gets the least amount of air time these days.

It’s the first song that comes to mind when I think of CCR. I think it encapsulates their sound and vibe the best.

@@keef7224 Next time you listen, the opening is a stone skipping across the water. The instrumental is the frogs and mosquitoes buzzing at night. Pure genius from John Fogarty and the most underrated song in the history of Rock and Roll.

My favorite CCR song.
My favorite CCR song! A real classic. You should see the live version, done much later and in the UK. Fantastic. They were once called "America's band."
CCR had such a great sound.
Three more of CCR's best songs are: Born on the Bayou, Run Through the Jungle (from the movie Kong Skull Island) and Sinister Purpose (used in the movie Green Room)
You two are becoming CCR addict's...lol.. I was 9 years old when I first heard CCR and have never stopped. I'm 62 now and they make me want to dance every time I hear them.. Rock On!!
This is such a great song! You guys have done a lot of CCR songs already. Will recommend "Proud Mary", "Lodi", "Commotion", "Night Time Is The Right Time", "Down On The Corner", "Cotton Fields", "Travelin' Band", "Who'll Stop The Rain", "Long As I Can See the Light", "Sweet Hitch-Hiker" etc.

CCR....ICONIC SWAMP MUSIC! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Cross-tie walker is another great one by them also the song It came from out the sky.
I was going to request this on the next live...it's one of my favs! So glad y'all did a reaction to it!
Green River has always been my favorite CCR song ♥️
John Fogerty is a genius songwriter who despite his troubled relationship with the band and his legal troubles still has the chops to play and remain relevant.
Always get a grin watching you 2, keep a rocking
Definitely a great song!! You should totally react to Run Thru the Jungle and see a live performance of Green River on the Andy Williams show. Towards the end of the song the mic stopped working but John played right thru it! Love you guys!! ❤️❤️🙏
Some good Ole southern rock outlaw music- FaNtAsTiC!
CCR was my first rock album from my grandma in Christmas of 69. They are #1 feel good band ever.
CCR “BORN ON THE BAYOU” and “MIDNIGHT SPECIAL” are absolute musts! And don’t sleep on “I PUT A SPELL ON YOU”!!! You won’t regret it!!!
CCR one of my favorite groups from late 60s early 70s. Love hearing the music again today. One of my favorites from them
Simple life,good time,enjoying life,simple blessing,rope swing in the tree,dancing in the moonlight..walk the railroad track hounddog,fidhing,swing in the creeks..GREENRIVER
CCR is my favorite group and this is my favorite song.
Not only my fave CCR song, but one of my fave 10 songs! ♥
Listen to the song again and appreciate this - the intro is a stone skipping across the water, the instrumental is frogs croaking and mosquitoes buzzing. This interpretation will jump right out at you! This makes Green River possibly the best rock song of all time and as commented by George below, should receive more airplay. Hugely under rated. Maybe because it seems too short - no chorus just 3 short verses and its over but what a masterpiece! If you want more, play it again and again and again....

Hi Jeff, back in 1969 I was in Year 11 at High School and don't remember it getting the airplay in Australia that the song deserved. A good way to measure how good CCR and your dad were is to listen to cover versions of Green River and they all mangle it! @@jefffogertymusic2023
Love CCR from day one & stull listen to it & I am 73!!!!!
Thank you for bringing my college years back!! We always had CCR cranked up high!! No better way to study for finals!!!
Went to a CCR concert here in the San Francisco Bay Area at Winterland 1969...I THINK this song was performed....I can t remember....I was 14. GREAT GROUP!!!!!!!
Summer of 1969, I was 16 and my parents allowed me to spend the summer working a job on the boardwalk at Seaside Heights NJ. for the summer. I worked at a pizza joint sandwiched between a record wheel where you put your quarter down to win an album, (vinyl only in those days) and a Knock-the-bottles-over with a softball to win giant stuffed animals. The album wheel stand blared the latest popular tunes, and CCR had both Bayou Country and then Green River as huge hits that summer. The Who's Tommy and Pinball Wizard was played a lot then, too, as well as CSN's first album. Music was in full explosion mode back then! I sure had a lot of "firsts" that summer.
Back in the day, the Chicago Tribune newspaper would have in their Sunday paper a little section called, "Words and Chords" & they would print the words and chords to the hits of the day & they printed a lot of CCR's songs. My sisters & I would love their songs because they were rather easy to play. Simple chords, simple lyrics. Beautiful stuff.
Headiin' on home to Green River...right now! Let's Go! I'm Ready! *EDIT:* I just got back home within minutes of leaving for Green River....couldn't afford the GAS to get there.

My husband is a Green River Man. He has been working barge on the Ohio River for 32 years. He is First Mate on his boat. He is gone 20 days then home 20 which is an improvement on the schedule he had when we first met...home 10 days a month. Every other year he is gone for the big holidays, but I am an independent woman.

Ahh,the memories !!!!!
If you like storytellers you have to check out Red Sorvine teddy bear or Phantom 309 it's old school country one of the best storytellers I've ever heard just my opinion love you guys your reactions are awesome
Written by John Fogerty, who explained in his Storytellers special: "Green River is really about this place where I used to go as a kid on Putah Creek, near Winters, California. I went there with my family every year until I was ten. Lot of happy memories there. I learned how to swim there. There was a rope hanging from the tree. Certainly dragonflies, bullfrogs. There was a little cabin we would stay in owned by a descendant of Buffalo Bill Cody. That's the reference in the song to Cody Jr. ["Up at Cody's camp I spent my days..."]

CCR was the most popular band with me at the time. Watching Joe Namath, Wilt Chamerberlain. Good times.
Hearing all your music I must admit I was lucky to hear the best music ever! Sixties and seventies rock!

This music. Ugh. Just sends chills through me. Reminds me of my dad and grandpa and camping. I see Mt. Hood, dirty forest trails and old train tracks. I can literally hear and smell the river
You wanna try somethin’ a little different from CCR…play some Commotion! Thanks for your reactions!❤️
Country life.....can't beat it
I only had a passing acquaintance with the lyrics before todaY. Very cool.
amazing amazing amazing
Up Around The Bend is another CCR hit you'll love & dance to👍✌️
Grooooovy rockandroll❤
Need to hear, You'll stop the rain, and Up around the bend
part of this song was written about a camp John went to with his family when he was a kid
Can never go wrong with CCR.
I love you start it again to hear once more
When we were teens we would underwear-dip 'lol' in the Green River in N. Central Illinois...partied and camped out all night...loved those times in the mid-70s. More innocent than it sounds. Good times and memories and definitely played some CCR. (edited to say Do some Dr.Hook PLEASE)
Got to keep it goin! I can't wait for the next one!
Ok Ive watched alot of reaction channels and I have to say you are my fav. Ive discovered how awesome Creedence is and Ive really enjoyed youre personalities. Im 51. Im bad at judging peoples ages but i think you guys are near my age. I love music of the past. Todays music is lacking soul! Anywho, great channel, much love.

This is my favorite song of theirs but John's most profound song is Don't Look Now
One by C C R that most people won't request is going to be Keep On Chooglin !!!
I went on a 3-day rubber raft journey on the Green River in 1978 with a group of teens from my church. Good memories.
You guys are fun.
Ive noticed you guys like CCR alot as do I and if you live in Ohio on Sept 5th at the Canfield Fair in Canfield, Ohio John Fogerty the lead singer of CCR is going to be there doing all CCR songs. Just wanted to let you know. Canfield fair is one of the biggest fairs!
