Unfortunately, you listened to the short version. The longer versions of this song are even better. The full album cut is an 8-minute jam. There's an even better live version, over 10 minutes, that was on their 40th anniversary edition of their debut album, and the Woodstock live version is likewise a fantastic, longer jam.

Long versions are always better on 60s & 70s music.
Kids in the 60's & 70's ran HOT! Our music, girls, cars, bars and house parties were HOT!! CCR was a staple for a good time.
You guys REALLY get why we who grew up on this music love it so much. Can the music of today compare to the PIONEERS of the past? This is talent, pure and simple.

You do know this was a cover of a song from 11 years earlier.
I grew up on the great music of the 60's-70's. CCR has always been one of my favorites. They don't have a bad song! John Fogerty has one of the most unique & recognizable voices around. All their songs are great - "Proud Mary", "Born On The Bayou", "Bad Moon Rising", "Lodi", "Green River", "Commotion", "Night Time Is The Right Time", "Down On The Corner", "Fortunate Son", "Cotton Fields", "Midnight Special", "Travelin' Band", "Who'll Stop The Rain", "Up Around the Bend", "Run Through The Jungle", "Lookin' Out My Back Door", "Long As I Can See the Light", "Suzie Q", "I Heard It Through The Grapevine", "I Put A Spell On You", "Sweet Hitch-Hiker" etc.

Nothing from Pendulum, their most over looked album - "Hey Tonight", "Molina", "It's Just a Thought", "Hideaway". I call it their "forgotten" album.

Every song is a hit!!!
For the short time they were together, they could do no wrong. Some of the deep cuts on their albums are definitely worth a listen.
Check out Creedence live doing "I put a spell on you"

"Born On the Bayou" and "Green River" are two of their very best songs. No way to hold still to either one of those!💙☮
Music aside, reactions aside, I have to say that you two were made for each other. There is always love in your eyes for each other. Most couples should be so blessed. Keep up the good work! I love the both of you!
I was in the Navy when this first came out and I saw them in concert on their first tour. I was in Honolulu. And I was up real close. OK, now I'm bragging. But I guess it's not bragging if it's true, right? Boy, am I old.

Tell me about it!! 🥶
Back then, it was top 40 radio so we listened to pop, rock, country, soul, r&b, folk, blues, instrumentals, movie theme songs, etc.
When this came out, we'd take the rug out to the lawn and remove the dining room table and chairs so we could play this record for parties. Everybody was dancing to this one. Everybody. 👍❤🤙
Yesssss! "Suzie Q" and "Born on the Bayou" are so timeless for me. CCR in general, but these two specifically. You know music's really good when it's not confined to one era. :) 7:40 That's what's so cool about it right?! Now you have a bunch of new music to discover. Y'all have exactly the right mentality about music, and I love it. Wish more people had that same frame of mind.
When you got great musicians playin' a funky-ass rhythm like this, who the hell needs profound lyrics!
I love CCR! My grandpa used to say they "never sounded like any revival he ever heard"
Credence Clearwater Revival or CCR, has so many hits it is amazing. All of there songs were from the Vietnam era. You definitely want to venture down that rabbit hole. So enjoy 😁
Written and performed by Dale Hawkins in 1957. This is such a great number. Another fantastic reaction by my favorite couple!!
Shawn was looking at Mel singing to her with his eyes..”I like the way you walk, the way you talk” LOVED that! You two are so adorable reacting.
CCR are among the gods of Rock n' Roll!!!! They are one of my All-Time favorites. Another group is my favorite is Three Dog Night. Check out the live version of their "Eli's Coming" by Three Dog Night!!! Fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
one of my favorites, we danced, laughed and had so much fun!!! I have a friend we still call suzy Q lol
Actually this was a cover John Fogerty said in an interview he made it a hit by making it psychedelic. Was there first hit and so many great hits followed. Still my favorite group ever. I'm listening to music over 60 years. John did a concert recently in FL 2021, had to be great.
This song & "Put a Spell on You" are my top CCR plays. So deceptively simple, yet they maximize the feeling.
It was easy to see the love in your eyes, Shawn, when you looked at Mel. That was great. Treasure each other.
I love CCR! My favorites from them are I PUT A SPELL ON YOU AND BORN ON A BAYOU!
Absolutely Amazing all day long ❤ can't go wrong 🥰😍😘
CCR was my favorite band as I grew up. Proud Mary is a banger. All their songs are great. People think they were Southern Band but they formed in LA. You guys are tripping. That's how the music made you feel in that era. Can you imagine the culture back then, so much going on. The concerts were out of this world.

I just saw Tina Turner's live at Wembley version of Proud Mary from 2000, WOW. I saw her and Like doing it on tv as a kid, but this was a whole new level. I will always have a love for CCR version
Shawn was feeling it ....sure enough !. This was on my first 8 track tape player in 1970's

Can you remember which songs were cut in half? I had one too and the sound was great but the format made it have four sides that matched length and it forced them to cut two songs in half to fit it in. It was a short gap but after listening to it, you expected to hear that gap every time the song played, that's modern technology in the 70s!
CCR is one of the GREATEST of all TIME! GOAT! They never go out of style! I love them! Epic band!!❤️
If you like this you simply must listen to BORN ON THE BAYOU….friggin awesome Cruising music. 😀
Your body IS your soul. aka "There isn't a soul in the room." In your case, the music does something to the spirit. Makes you feel good...which is also good for your body.
Their cover of "Heard it through the Grapevine", the long version (there are two out there) is the best. It's Marvin Gaye's song, and I love that version, but CCR takes it to another level.
When I was a kid, there were no such things as genres separating people into camps about what type of music they would even listen to. We listened to the radio and heard all types of music, older and new, we got to hear everything and decide which songs we liked or not. I used to use a blank cassette tape to record songs for later. When I got older and started earning money I could buy a single or the album and see if I liked other songs from the same group.
Mel letting a little bit of that free spirit find it’s way out , love it ! ✌🏼❤️
They played at our senior prom, just before Suzie Q dropped in 1968. Nobody had ever heard of them. The prom committee got them because they were cheap.

So cool for you to find something new that you love and makes you feel young & excited right? It's really fun to see you enjoy it for the 1st time 😁
Just joined your channel about a week ago and have been binge watching. Love your positive vibes and appreciation of all types of music. Also, the love between you two is so apparent. The way you look at each other…awww☺️
One of the best and funkiest songs Credence ever recorded. Huge hit back in 1969.
So cute watching you 2! Now just visualize us young people back in '69 seeing them li ve🎶👍
I think the world would be in a lot better place if everyone stopped and absorbed some of the old music of the 50's, 60's, 70's. God Bless!
CCR was such a part of my childhood and was always playing on the 8 track at family outings and fun times!
Check the Woodstock version ❣️ Thanks for playing CCR - I love this band & John Fogerty, they mesmerize you. I still have my old albums & cassettes of CCR & later John F solo, listened to their songs like I was hypnotized 😵💫 back in late 60’s & onward… Fogerty is still singing & I think is from California- he seems like a Louisiana type man with his voice 🎼🇨🇦💗🎵☮️💝 💞 ❤❤You can be part of the Baby Boomer ‘special club ‘- cause you appreciate all the music!! P.S.that includes music of hippies & flower children, Motown, Elvis, R&R, Sad tragic songs, country, disco,Teddy P & Barry W love songs and so on !!🎉😊
This song is awesome! was really cool to see you guys react to this... enjoyed it
There is NO comparison. The 'music' of today cannot compete. 60's and 70's music is unbeatable.
See why we loved our music so much back then. I cannot sit and listen to today's "music" like I did then.
One if my bands of all time! "Fortunate Son" is my fav but all if their songs are great! John Fogerty's voice is awesome!

Yes! Along with playing the longer version of Suzie Q, they should play them all! They are all great! The longer version of "Suzie Q" is one of my Favs, but you'll find it hard to say which one is because they're all THAT good!!!
My favourite band since so many decades
Great southern blues song… not bad for a group of boys from Northern California. Love CCR! I don’t think they ever wrote a bad song!
❤❤❤THIS IS THE KIND OF MUSIC I LOVE HEARING IN AN AIRPORT!!!
Loving to see babies splashing in rain puddle for the first time. Thank you
John fogerty and his brother was nothing short of bad-ass. CCR will live on forever 💯
They do an excellent version of. ‘ I heard it through the grapevine ‘ other stuff they did like ‘Have you ever seen the rain ‘. & ‘ Down on the corner ‘ & ‘ Midnight Special ‘ & many others , that should not be missed . 👍
You guys gotsta' get you some CCR on vinyl - the sound! It's pure magic! I can't live without my vinyl, especially when it comes to the greats. It's sooooo worth investing in 😊
OMG!!! Please, Please do "Up around the bend"..BEST Riff ever.........Love you both.
I’m lovin watching you kids enjoy our music. You two really should have been born back then. I never truly appreciated our music until I started watching music reviews and realize how great our stuff was! Love you guys!!
If you 2 are half as nice as you seem you are truly lovely people you put a smile on my face!
🤸🤸🤸🤸💋🤸🤸🤸🤸 WHAT A BAND THIS ONE 💋⭐💋⭐💋⭐💋 My favourite song Australia 💕 Christina
Great reaction! You two bring a smile to my face every time.💜✌☮
This is one of my top 5 songs ever. Just brilliant.
I just heard another reactor say the same thing today Shawn, about the music. He only listened to rap and hop but now he only listens to this music. We were so lucky to have lived in those years. There was sooo much music and it seemed like there was something new and different every day. I'm glad you guys are enjoying it. Keep going. I heard one today you need to try. It's an Etta James cover - I'd Rather ,Go Blind by Beth Hart and Joe. I didn't catch Joe's last name but he plays a guitar solo that will make you cry it's so beautiful. And she's just plain amazing beyond belief. Check it out.. Thanks for the fun and smiles. You brighten my day.
Love your content
When I travel to see my son - between 6 /2 to 8 hours, CCR is always one of the CD's I listen to, along with Bob Seger, Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, and more currently Adele, and Ed Sheeran. Good music makes the trip fly by.
The body, allows the soul to experience !
THANKS FOR ALL THE SMILES, YA ALL. I LOVE CCR.
Yes,I grew up with this music & love some of all genres!!!💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
every single song you guys reacted to i have heard and you guys are going deep into the 60's. understand this you discovered this no matter how long it took you and thats all that matters.......you discovered!

You guys are doing great ..Love your content and I am doing amazing ..We got to get you over 100k subs
CCR just awesome that's all you can say WOW!!!
My grandad's favorite song. He loved ccr. I have refrained from listening to ccr since he died ( 2019). Guess its time to rock out. :)
This is my music. Been listening since it came out! Love it.
SUZIE Q!👍👏👏👏🎶🎵🎶🎵🥰💙♥️
Suzie Quatro was only 18 years old when this was written She was so Good !
I absolutely love you two. You pick the best music to review. When I'm feeling blue, I just watch your videos. Its like good medicine for the soul! CCR is definitely a very deep Rabbit Hole.
Their whole book. Amazing
YES, DIVE DEEP, into CCR, you'll be hard pressed to find a song you don't like, just pick one, you'll see. I, myself can't listen to their music without thinking of my mother, because of the style of guitar playing they do, was the same as my mother's. Thanks so much for this, really loved watching this video reaction!
Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of that surreal scene of the dancing Playboy Playmates in the middle of nowhere Vietnam in the movie "Apocalypse Now."
I like the guitar playing, especially their song effigy, on their album, Willy and the poor Boys, and ramble ramble, from their album Cosmos Factory, AWESOME!
TRUST ME On This Feel Good Must Hear Classic,, The Blackbyrds "Walking In Rhythm"
You're gonna love exploring CCR's catalog; I can't think of a bad song they've done. Some of my favorites are 'Midnight Special,' 'Down On The Corner,' and 'Lookin' Out My Back Door." Lead singer and guitarist John Fogerty also did great solo work after Creedence split up.
I remember watching the Viet Nam movie "Apocalypse Now" back in 1979. This song was playing at a USO Show in Viet Nam in the movie. Great memories...
Driving through small town in Ky, in 1968 when this song came on WSAI in Cincinnati (am dial). Instant love!
The longer version please. You will be blown away I promise you.
This song was written in the 50's by the late great father of Swamp Rock, Dale Hawkins who was from Louisiana. You should check out his version as well
More Doobie Brothers, "Black Water!" 🎻 Has a little folk music in this one.
You guys will hit 100K because you are digging back into the old music. From 1955 to 1975 the music was real in lyrics and instrumentation. No computers just tale

One of the best groups ever
1 of the greatest groups ever, CCR.
So many CCR songs! They are all good. My Uncle Art used to me Suzie Q. I don't know why, but it was sweet. I'm sure he never even heard this.
My first concert CCR in 1969 at age 19. Wow!
Looking good today in blue. Great choice. Thanks.
❤suzie Q
CCR has always been in my top handful of 60's groups
When I was scanning reactors a few weeks back and I came across you guys would drew me in is that you got your opening Smoke on the Water I'm 60 the first album I ever owned my sister brought home from place called record Club of America where she worked it was a damaged album she got it for a quarter I got the Deep Purple Machine Head album. Creedence on the other hand I've always been a fan but it wasn't until a few years ago I guess I never really gave it any other salt I just always assumed because of their songs relating so much to Louisiana that they were from there but in actuality they were from Northern California.
You two look amazing in Blue. Love it!❤️ and I love CCR too🤣
“I Put A Spell On You”❤️
As a child of the 70s....I love CCR
you two are adorable...another great one! Classic tune
