Interesting facts: The song was written by Norm Whitfield ( your my everything-the Temptations) and Barry Strong (Just my imaginations, and Papa was a Rolling stone). It was actually first recorded by Smokie Robinson, but after recording it, they were slow releasing it. This delay allowed Gladys Knight to become the first artist to release this song to the public.

Complete rubbish! Total fiction! Meeting at Portola Junior High School in 1959 in El Cerrito, California, they formed a group called The Blue Velvets, changing their name to The Golliwogs in 1964, before adopting the CCR name in January 1968. Their final name came from a combination of a friend's name, Credence Newball, with a line ("clear water") from a beer ad for the Olympia Brewing Company, with the Revival representing their new commitment to the band. No member of the group ever fully served in the military (when two members were conscripted they joined the Army and Coast Guard Reserve respectively), let alone in the Vietnam war. Many of their songs did become anthems for those who did serve in Vietnam though, but your story is complete and utter BS.

Slow Ride is probably their biggest hit, but I'd also recommend Fool for the City and their cover of I Just Want to Make Love to You(written by Willie Dixon and first recorded by Muddy Waters). creedence is probably the most underappreciated and underrated 60s band. they had hit after hit. including the standards "proud mary" and "fortunate son." the critics hated them but the public loved them. they appeared at woodstock too. (cut out of the film and the album though. as a few other bands were.) CCR invented country rock and they don't even get credit for that. on the album "cosmos factory" (1970) this song was over 11 minutes long. with a wonderful, kick ass guitar solo that lasts about 8 minutes long. the record label shortened the song to about 3 1/2 minutes and released it as a single against the band's wishes. CCR remains one of my favorite bands. side two of their album "bayou country" is one of the best album sides in r&r history.

John Fogarty and CCR created the genre - swamp rock. Absolutely legendary stuff.

I love the original and this is my favorite cover...it would have been so cool if they could have had the chance to perform this with Marvin :)

I love how you’re both happy with yourselves when she says “outstanding.” I usually don’t watch reaction videos because I think it’s strange watching other people listen to music, but I like watching yours because of your youthful authenticity. CCR’s version was the first I heard Grapevine, but Marvin’s is best.

I think listening to reaction videos is more like listening to music along with someone else. Its often more fun. It's comforting. I live alone. I enjoy the company. If that's weird, so be it.

Also, i don't watch regular tv. I watch KZread. I've seen thousands of reaction videos over years. I cant recall seeing anyone who i really thought was being inauthentic, yet i hear about all these reactors not being real. Im a seasoned RN. I know how to read people. I am excellent at reading body language and spotting fakery. I don't see them.

Another great voice and guitarist from the 70s and the live performance(The Midnight Special) video is called Elvin Bishop(guitarist)featuring Mickey Thomas singing lead and the song is 'I Fooled Around and Fell in Love'! Is a must listen and react to! Voice...... AMAZING! You will not be disappointed! BTW...This video here with CCR is great and John Fogerty is also amazing, of course! Can't ever go wrong with CCR!

John Fogarty was about 20 or 21 when this was performed and he wrote most of the songs for the albums. The rest of the band screwed him later (including his brother Tom on the other guitar there) As far as I am concerned He was CCR. Check out his more recent live concerts here on the Tube and watch him with other great band members. He still cooked 40+ years later. He married a girl from Elkhart, Indiana. She convinced him to forget the past and play again .They were his songs anyway.
