    Atlanta has great restaurants too. Once he's in that town there not going to let him leave. They've already met their Rooney requirement with their second interview yesterday which I do like that rule by the way, but in this case I think it was a good experiential interview for the gentleman from the eagles and that the Falcons were going to be signing Belichick all along

  • @Gungho73
    @Gungho735 ай бұрын

    I know there is QB concerns in Atlanta but I think its one of the more desirable jobs. They are at the right draft pick where if a QB falls, or they want to be number 1, it will be an easier sell to the team above them like Chicago or D.C to fall down to their pick and still get a great pick. They could also go for a good veteran stopgap and not put pressure on a rookie immediately when doing so. I think the GM made a good effort at trying to rebuild the defense and I think its clear to most fans he made great offensive picks at the top of each draft and therefore widely assumed ex HC Smith misused them talent wise. I think they do have expectations due to ownership raising the bar since owning the team, but I think those expectations can be met in a division that was still open for capture that late in the year. Otherwise I find Blank a good owner. This would be a very good landing spot for Bill, here or Seattle are my two big choices for him.

    Arthur Blanks jets are very nice but combined costs much less than his yacht. So what's the big deal if he has multiple planes? His yacht cost $181 million to build about 7-8 years ago and is probably worth about $250 million today. Blank owns a Bombardier Global 6000 (N611BF $40 million), a Bombardier Global 7500 (N62LV $75 million), and a Gulfstream G-IV (N207AA, $26 million). By the way, those jet costs are for those jets when they are new. I don't know if he bought them new or used.

    @@daivdsmith3746 Yeah I was gonna say, its way too easy to just give Brady that credit. Ignores the fact that he consistently reloaded that roster year in and out, especially in free agency. Ignores that he often fleeced other teams in trades, to the point if you heard "Bill of goods" it was referencing Bill coming to you with a offer that was too good to be true in sports as he traded a year early vs everyone else trading a year late. Brady and him paired well and thats undeniable. Its also undeniable that he had a run that will be hard to be topped in this sport and that a drop off is only to be expected; you cant hit that hard year in and out and also have the luck they had and not expect a downturn. That's unrealistic especially with their front office and coaching drain seen year in and out. I saw it happen to Landry as well in Dallas. I think Bill going to another team where he can get more help, more fresh thoughts, can alleviate that.

Rich McKay has been destroying the Falcons every since he got there and here he is again tearing it up even more. A Falcons fan since Steve Bartkowski, but no more.

According to sources he completely changed the culture of the franchise which led to much of the early 70's success under George Allen. They did participate in a SB against the Dolphins with many of the same players under Lombardi as you recall. I would argue he was as successful as a one year coach could be.
