This is a story about a balloon, a billion mosquitos, and Magic - Jade Lake- Backpacking Washington

It is birthday week at Steps for the Soul, and we are road tripping through Washington. We have found a turquoise gem tucked up high in the Northern Cascades. Jade Lake... Wow, the most beautiful lake I have ever seen. And you know I have a thing for jumping in every pretty lake I see:)
We took a short day hike up to Pea Soup Lake and had lunch before glissading down the glacier. A memory that will forever be sketched in my mind.
The most incredible sunset unfolded in front of us the second evening. It was quite the show. I am so excited to share it with you.
I wanted to share a classic poem I heard recently. It has been bouncing around my mind. It is called "The road not taken" by Robert Frost. He speaks of the unconventional road. The road of uncertainty. The road your Soul keeps nudging you towards, but your scared sh!tless. This is the road where all the Magic happens.
I hope it inspires you to follow your passions. To follow your Bliss.
I hope you enjoy.

Good intro buddy ....I like the reverse backstory and really dig the Google Earth zoom in view. Great cinematography and eye popping colors as per usual. North Cascades has been on our list forever. You're making me wanna bump it up the schedule. Sexy head nets. That's one beautiful lake for sure. EPIC bug infestation !!! Nichole is getting brave, that was a steep snowfield. Not to mention the giggles on the glissade. Another great video with a great message from one of my favorite poets.

Thanks brotha! Yes tried a few new things for the vid. I liked the Google Earth perspective. Probably gonna be added to future vids. The glissade... sooooo much fun. We havent laughed that hard in a long time. The bug nets were a lifesaver. Would not have left our tent without them. Robert Frosts poem has been bouncing around my head for a few weeks. Its a simple yet very inspiring message.🙂

Thank you! Im so glad you enjoyed them. In places like this, it's hard to get bad footage😅. I just used a GoPro Hero 9. Has pretty good quality/stability and some cool time lapse functions. Not good in low light though
