Backpacking to one of Idaho's best kept secrets! Nothing changes, if nothing changes... w/Theo Von.

Kane Lake... if you know, you know. If you don't, then check out the video and put it on your list this next summer. Kane Lake is a moderate 3.5 mile hike in the Pioneer Mountains of Central Idaho. It's the waterfalls that really sets this lake apart from most other lakes. I think we counted 12 separate falls! If you check it out let me know what you think.
I shared a concept from @TheoVon podcast towards the end of the video. Nothing changes, if nothing changes. He speaks about embracing change to create your best life. If you want to experience/create something new, then there needs to be change. Simple idea but very profound. Learning to be comfortable with change is the first step to a creating a new experience.

Nice job SFTS ! That is spectacular , but even with that said you captured it perfectly. The times when you crest a hill with lungs craving oxygen , and there sits a cirque lake , or a huge peak or view. A cold night sharing a fire , with stars blinking from light years away. When you don't regret the sore feet , as your mind throws off all it's extra clutter, and the grandeur of it all takes effect. It's at those moments that your soul has changed. And it remains in your brain's photo album, and your hearts secret places.

@@stepsforthesoul Yes, this is a special year too. Good shape and I am debt free. Going places even in the gas hog truck I have won't be a burden on my budget. I have some super Freeze Dried meals my wife made. Even Peak Meals can't compete. Smoked Brisket breakfast scramble isn't shabby at all. You and our friend R .B. can try some out. Happy Trails ya'all

I'm in Utah today SFTS. Looking up at Mt Timp. I climbed that back in 2007. I saw Mt Goats 200 yards away. The Valley was so far down it made me dizzy. From the exertion of getting to the top and high altitude sickness I was destroyed , but always a nice memory to go back to.

Pretty spectacular place! Love the drone footage! Life is like hiking. There is no straight paths. Only a series of Y’s and you need to make a choice. You can’t stop at the Y and just sit there. You need to make a choice. There is no wrong answer only lessons along the way… one is not good and the other bad. It is your journey. Everyone wants to know where the trail ends up and did I take the right trail. It is your journey! Take actions, make decisions, and learn along the way. Enjoy your journey!

Well you are pretty lucky then. We hiked beginning of July and still had quite a bit of snow. But if you can catch those waterfalls with lots of runoff, that would be incredible.
