I noticed this too in my recent game as Sweden - Ethiopia beat the Italians on historical. The Italians didn't have a civil war, but they were effectively crippled by losing and ended up being a punching bag for the British. Meanwhile I was up in Scandinavia, minding my own business - fighting the Germans and Soviets at the same time in a brutal back and forth. Was a wild game.

Not sure if they massively reduced the thresholds in which you are considered "ahistorical" and the AI is unrestrained regardless of settings or if they just broke something again, but stuff like this is extremely common now. The one I see most (nearly every game) is Hungary declaring war on Romania over transylvania, causing Romania to join the allies before they're ever in the axis.

Next Hoi4 dlc should give focus tree to Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan, it could be called something like "PAINFUL DLC, DON'T BUY IT"

Honestly, a focus tree pack for the Himalayas is not a super bad idea. Although the Americas south of Mexico could use that more.

@@rotomfan63 I actually agree with you, I've said that comment for the memes, but it would be curious as Nepal and Bhutan were under British Control and the could also improve India's focus. But maybe it's not the first target, I would prefer middle-east Iran Iraq Afghanistan and Saudi to get a dlc

I think they can give Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan focus trees with a smaller like battle for the bosphorus. Btw when I started this game one of my fantasies making Tibet big and glorious then lost it while discovering game and unique focuses. So thanks to you your guideship maybe I can achieve my forgetten dream

Italy is chaotic because international market made IA Ethiopia able to hold until it gets help from the league of nations, in that case, italy probably refused the ultimatum to stop the war, so the allies intervened on the war. It almost always happens in my games.

@@chaoticflorius yeah. My first game after the update (without dlc yet) I played as the Soviets until I suddenly got "The fall of Rome" before I noticed what was happening... Very curious what actually changed, if it's the international market, a CW change or something else

You may want to stay away from any Winnie the Pooh toy/look alike, you come across... As always, hilarious narration of a very painful nation to play as.
