With a game like dark souls, he could just select a set load out and head butt bosses until he wins. I mean he legit was slow rolling on his fight with the nameless king, which is impressive he made it that far with slow rolling, but proves he struggles with decision making.

@@ughaaghastness5440this may surprise you but people often like to watch streamers who are authentically bad at games in an entertaining way. Yes Asmongold is bad at learning how to play games, he’s slow to pick up on mechanics etc, gets stuck on a single meta for a long time “because it just works” (double “halbardo” jump attack etc), but he does all this in a way that’s entertaining to watch, even if just as second-screen content.

He doesn't know how awesome the scout is in deep rock, the boomstick (shotgun) with special powder is one of the most fun things in any game I've ever played. The survivor game is very well made (just like the original deeprock). Super intuitive and lets you learn the game step by step. These developers are really good honestly.

Deep rock galactic (the og) is a masterpiece. I hope this encourages him to play it

I love this game. If anyone has trouble with it, I suggest focusing on surviving long enough to get weapons to level 12 the first time in each run as much as you can. Focus on that, first, as they make your damage scale much better and give you more build options. Also, all the classes are cool in their own way, but the driller, the last one you get at player level 7, is by far my favorite. Stick it out even if it feels tough and you'll be cruising in no time. Note: I didn't have a successful dive until I unlocked the engineer, so don't worry about failing

I think upgrading Luck is very important as well as levelling the weapons to 12 to get the mk2 version from the get go

Vampire Survivors was the first of this genre that set the base blueprint... a lot of other great similar games with their own twists: Halls of Torment, Tiny Rouges, Soulstone Survivor, and now DRG adding in on the fun. They really aren't anything special, but still are fun to play.

DMG: 2,000,000 Asmongold: THATS 200k DAMAGES 😮 Beetlejuice: mmmm like 20 feet

I honestly think the beauty of these types of steam games is it's almost like old school ps2 era games you load up and jump right in... the controls and the combat is really intuitive. Something that's missing in gaming today is you need hours of messing around before you even get to actually play the game

yup. Its $10 usually but atm I think it is $9 since its on sale for the release of the early access. But yeah its a very cool price range. (also this game is a diff dev team to main drg)

Holy shit, I didnt know Deep Rock galactic was getting a bullet hell rougelike but it looks so fucking awesome!

The ability to discover what's around the map to gain all sorts of benefits is such an awesome concept for vampire survivor-like games, I honestly think this game might be one of the best of its genre!

dope game, hope you play more, and go for incendiary granade main weapon, it's so OP it outperformed the lvl 15+ weapons with just level 3.

Too bad they killed support for drg to make this cash grab. This game looks mediocre at beat, but drg is the best coop shooter out on the market. They should have kept with that game, or at least made something interesting instead of cashing in on a trend.

I found a lot of success with the haevy gunner getting the fire damage spec and getting lots of element damage. He thrives in choke points and his fire grenades are nuts. I do think i like scout more still

Upgrades don’t do diddly. They need to work on that. U don’t feel like +20 damage does anything. After getting it multiple times. The quests are refreshing though

The metaprogression in this game seems very well done! I've played similar games but this one looks mature enough and has done everything right from what I can tell form Asmon's playthorugh.

To anyone wondering Deep Rock Galactic is an awesome game, think Starship Troopers mixed with Minecraft. The forty devs really put the players first, only game I've seen where if you don't complete the season pass they put the items in game for you to collect.

I actually prefer this to Vampire Survivors. It's very addictive. 2024 has been an amazing year so far with so many cheap games (Helldivers 2, Pal World, Granblue Relink). You could literally buy 4 amazing indie games for the price of a "AAAA" game.

This looks like the best version of Vampire Survivors

1 Red Crystal Node => Red Sugar (healing crystals) 1 green, red, voilet, brown cystal Node => unique crystals (special purchases) red vein => nitra (weapon purchase/upgrades) gold vein => gold need to mine all colorful things ( not all ) Plus, all dwarf dialogs in the previous main game were awesome and I see many of them used in this as well.

He's so lucky. It cracks me up. This is a game you don't block yourself by going to walls/pits, but he keeps doing it and gets so lucky sneaking out. I'd have died so many times. 🤣

I loved vampire survivors and to see deep rock make a survivor roguelike game... praise god, rock and stone my brothers

good job on the bullet hell half.. but don't forget that it's a mining / bullet hell game.. you need to mine the resources too ;)

A vampire survivor version of DRG seems like a big brain idea

it's so hard to watch asmongold slay games sometimes because he misses these small but really crucial details, like the arrows at the bottom on his weapons telling him which weapons the upgrades affect.

Leaving so much crit chance on the table is just crazy.

This is one of those games that it is fun to watch, and fun to play and neither takes away from the other. And so far I think this is one of the most polished ones.

For the minigun it’d be good if you could aim with your mouse so you could aim and walk opposite directions

I'm only at a third of the vod but I sure hope he accidentally oneshots the stage boss with a supply pod. It's like my go-to tactic in any stage except the final one and it's broken as shit

From what i can tell youre rewarded more for mining and collecting. The killing is rather secondary to meta progression.

This game looks really fun. If you like this, try out others like Ravenswatch and Yet another zombie survivors. Awesome games also.
