I also really like Evanescence but Amy is very good indeed, but... You should listen to others in the same register of Doom Metal (which is mine) because Simone Johanna Maria Simons who is a Mezzo Soprano from the Dutch group => Epica is clearly even more enchanting (they know each other and had their children practically at the same time ^^) try Quietus, Unleashed and Never Enough

Evanescence is one of those "quality over quantity" bands. They've been around nearly two decades, have a credible and skilled group of musicians, and are fronted by a classically trained monster of a vocalist... but yet have only three official albums in their discography, four if you want to include Synthesis, the album full of reimagined versions of songs from their discography plus two originals. Their second album, The Open Door, holds up extremely well to this day and totally dwarfs their first and third albums, imo. Also, I could never do these song reactions because I'd hear one song I love and immediately run out to listen to everything 🤷🏻‍♂️

IMO Amy Lee is the BEST female front of any female fronted band! My only bummer is that there are so few official videos for Alex to react to. There are SO MANY great songs that he can't do! :-(

She looks back and sometimes cringes. Her words no mine. It's just is so easy to play and do. And I like Fallen by the way so flame off if you would.

@@larrylindgren9484 Actually, Fallen was their debut studio album, followed by The Open Door, then their Self Titled, and finally Synthesis a few years ago. You could definitely hear them trying to find their sound on Fallen, but The Open Door was where I feel they really found their footing. Their Self Titled was okay, but felt a but uninspired to me. Synthesis was very promising of a new era.

Is good. She said it was a song kind of about her. Did she really want to get back into music after all that time. Did she want to feel the pain again so to speak. Did she really want to go through all it takes to make her kind of music. She said she wrote it to her fans. I'm glad she did The Open Door was and still is a master piece of music making. Her use of just about everything you could do was amazing. Multi tracking was made for someone like Amy Lee and the music she hears in her head. It lets her actually do it so we can hear it too.

@@Evfollower I'm pretty sure that he would HAVE to do a live version, of any of those songs, because I'm pretty sure that none of those have an official video. Alex doesn't seem to do reactions to live concert videos, I think he's only done 2 or 3 this year. :-)

Another couple wonderful songs would be Evanescence: My Heart is Broken- This song still has a fairly heavy baseline, but Amy's voice is still the main highlight. Within Temptation featuring Tarja: Paradise (What About Us)- This song has two powerful and beautiful sounding leads. Evanescence: Good Enough- Amy's voice against the softer background music is haunting and gorgeous.

Amy is not Evanescence it is a band

This album is called "Evanescence" since it's what she always wanted Evanescence to sound like. One of the highlights of this album is "Lost in Paradise" but the acoustic version she performed. Absolute goosebumps served to you on a bone china garnished with extra emotion.

I think this is the first time I've ever heard this song.. I would recommend the Evanescence song "Tourniquet" think you'd really like that one.. And I don't think you've reacted to that one yet either.

It's not really rock or metal, but Amy Lee did a single called Love Exists which is a translation of an Italian artist song by the same name. I think Amy did it as a tribute to her son since it was around the time he was born I think and for me, it's just... pure.

When I was a victim/hostage of cable TV, I stumbled upon this video, as well as the song Going Under. Both are now my faves though they received little to no radio play.

Saw them in Houston in November 2016, wife is a gigantic Amy Lee fan. We we standing in the pit 15-20 feet from the stage. Amazing show, one of the best I've seen (and I've seen a lot).

YES, Amy Lee has ASTOUNDING range. Started to listen to Evanescence as workout music c. 2007, and I'm still challenged to find another vocalist with her range and tonality. Now that I'm taking singing lessons and learning a bit more, from professionals... Good reaction, btw. "Holy F!" sums up well. And this song is a real rocker.

You need to react to Lindsey Stirling and Amy Lee "Love goes on and on." Amazing song by two very talented artists.

I know you have already reacted to phantom of the opera, but you really need to React to Floor Jansen and henks version at beste zangers they have so much power.

You should react to the two last Evanescence's songs: imperfection and hi-lo

I admit, I was never a big Evanesence fan but I remember really liking this song. Being a guitarist at the time, I was hooked by the tone they recorded for the song.

Oh and do Good Enough by Evanescence too.. very neat video. She wrote the song for her husband because for the first time in a long time she says she was happy and felt like writing a happy song. Also.. check out her solo album for kids that she made inspired by her son who is like 3 or 4 I think. Not her usual music for sure but her voice is amazing. Theres a making of video on KZread that shows how her dad and sisters help and her uncle plays guitar or something. It's really neat.

Need to go back to Nightwish. Check out “Dark Chest of Wonders” or “She is My Sin”.
