@The Liverpooler I think our midfield is great but Thiago would upgrade it. He is a better play maker then the rest of our mids and is elite defensively. We can't go into next season thinking that our full backs are going to continue having field days without interruption. We need to proactively look to make the next step and Thiago will help us do that.

Wiji has been brilliant for us, but there’s no loyalty in football and he himself is showing that, if he doesn’t want to sign either he plays as a squad player next season or leaves this summer and allows the position to upgrade with Thiago.

I don’t think we’ll sign him because he’s 29 now and we do have quite a few midfielders like Henderson, Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Chamberlain, Keita, Milner and Curtis Jones. I would think that Klopp would want someone a few years younger, just my opinion though.

Obviously, Thiago is a world class player. But the fact that Thiago was in no man's land throughout the whole game just shows you how atrocious Barca's defense was. Any quality midfield would look good if given space and time on the ball. Well, Welcome to Liverpool, Thiago!

I really would not be sure about him nothing he did was exceptional no real chances created by him, efficient with his passing rather than spectacular, keeps possession well, probably a players player appreciated more by his team than fans. I'm still pissed and sad Barça let him go because they kept starting old Xavi over him. I love Xavi, but it was time in 2012-2013 to replace him with Thiago. His passing and football IQ is amazing. Glad for him he won the treble and was part of Bayern's trashing of Barça. That's a sweet revenge. He is a good player but honestly no one was pressing him most of the time and he took too much time with the ball and sometimes he was not that precise not giving the ball to the feet of his teammates but to the body, in my humble opinion he is lucky to be in such a team but you cannot compare him to Pirlo, Xavi or Xavi Alonso or younger Busquets.
