Neymar was on a different level that night and left his heart on the pitch. Here’s an unpopular opinion: The biggest reason why I believe Neymar left Barca was because of this game. Everyone who tuned in to watch this game knows Neymar was the man that night but to wake up the next day and see Messi’s picture all over the news was a stab to the heart to him and he realized he’ll never be appreciated to the same level as Messi and so he left.

Neymar knew he was going to score that freekick, look at his face asking for the ball. It was as beautiful as Messi's freekick vs Liverpool, probably more because of the weight of the game. He was untouchable & we lost him right after this match. Every mouth should've been speaking about his immense performance this match, he was the best dribbler in history this match. As a Neymar fan I can say Messi is GOAT. But if there was anyone to be exaggerated after this legendary match, he was Neymar. Not just 2 goals and 1 assist, he put his soul on the field. He was the number one of this match but almost everybody glorified Messi. I think many people forget the fact that a game like this isn’t won by a single person, but the whole team must come together to win. While it is true Neymar was without a doubt the man of the match, performances by Umtiti, Busquets, Mascherano, Ter Stegan, Pique, and others were the reason Barcelona didn’t concede more than they did.

We are getting older. Our heroes are getting older. Messi plays for Miami, Neymar is in Saudi, Suarez playing for Gremio. Although we have had the hope to get them both (Messi & Neymar) back this summer, But we know the reality now. And the reality is we never gonna get them again. And while looking back, this was the most happiest time of our lives, this very momemt. Neymar was unstoppable that day. Every thing feels like nostalgia now. Ageing isn't going as good as I expected, it is painful..!! (Maybe things will change in future, and ignore the grammatical mistakes.)
Even though Neymar leaving Barca hurt a lot, I could understand his feelings tbh, he was set to take the mantle as the best in the world after the Big2 but barca was Messi's house no matter what. As a barca fan, I will never disrespect Neymar for leaving because he stepped up big time in the hard moments, 2015/16 season he kept barca at the top of laliga when messi was injured for half the season and carried big time, carried them against PSG, scored in every UCL KO stage match in 2015 and was joint UCL top scorer with Messi and CR7. Barca dipped big time after he left, they couldve won 1 or 2 more UCLs by now had he stayed.
