its not Fifa age doesnt matter that much,especially for him,age only matters for players who use their physicality alot,didnt yoou notice that all smaller and weaker guys and those who used brain and not speed last longer?Thiago is deep lying playmaker or acc any midfielder role you want,he never used pace or strength which are only things you lose when you age so i think he can last long at top level,Pirlo,Xabi,Xavi,Iniesta,id even say Fernandinho,Modric etc.,never used physicallity and always lasted long.Its guys like Auba,Boateng(tho hes class again under Flick) who will dip after they get older

Hello guys. 29 is the peak for most players. It's true Thiago is great. I would love to see someone like xabi Alonso in our midfield. But at 29 years old you unlikely to see resale value. FSG will not sanction the deal unless we see Gini leaving for Barce. Or else 30m would be spend on an attacker or CB.

I think we should aim for aouar next season cauz lyon wont play EUL or UCL so his price should drop and 20 mill for thiago is ot bad if hes gonna play for 2 season

I’m a City fan but I don’t understand why so many Liverpool have no trust about their midfield, Klopp have said : « a good counter press is better than any playmaker in the world » , to play his system he need really athletic midfielder to cover the more space possible in the midfield , this is why Henderson and Wijnaldum suits more than Coutinho Naby Keita or Shakiri or any technical players with a limited or a poor physicality

even if we managed to get him, i hope he is better than keita. keita is now improving, he is calm, a bit of creative and dribbler as well. the only thing keita terrible at is, his shooting. i believe he will become even better.

All his passes was out wise to the right. Personally i dont think thiago is the one, liverpools midfield works the hardest without the ball and i just don't think a 29 turning 30 yo player will be able to keep up that intensity

he wasnt at his best lost the ball a couple of times and almost cost baryen hope he comes out better in the final

Thiago obviously has great skills, but, honestly, against Lyon it's impossible to judge just how good he is. He had so much time on the ball and so much space to move that he could simply take all the time he wanted and pick the pass that he wanted to make. In this reel, I counted 20+ sequences where he had three or more touches, and about the same where he had two touches; there were only about 6 single-touch plays. This is simply not going to happen against most EPL teams; he's never going to have the same luxury against any of the top EPL teams, at least the top 10-12. He does seem to be able to move the ball quickly when he wants/needs to, and does look pretty good at defending the ball and winning it back. The thing is, Lyon just made it so easy for him that pretty much anybody could have done what he did that night. The corollary is that I still cannot believe that Man City lost to this team...they look very much like the #7 Lique 1 team that they are.

The reason why we dont have Werner is because Kloppo ain't breaking that front three they are to good for Europe

Younger Ayodeji Kdb isn’t a goalscorer he is a free 8 (like Wijnaldum sometimes) and Thiago is a deep lying playmaker , he can play alongside Fabinho would’ve work well

Dagim Yeshewalul A good 6 should be looking to break lines constantly. I’ve played in Europe and went to multiple National Team camps and play that position. He should be going forward way more.

He lost the ball twice, Stop making up stats. He still made a lot of defensive contributions and held the midfield together, along with some key passes. Dont just focus on the negative parts of a match 🤦‍♂️

I would rather we keep Wijnaldum than sign Thiago. Wijnaldum is the better player for the role he is assigned to. Thiago is probably more a 6, but I prefer the more defensive minded Fabinho in that role.
