That’s epic mate!! Nice one, I had to laugh when you were running around chasing 3 bucks and tying crabs up on that deck chair 😂

I love it when it gets hectic like that. Definitely one of my better crabbing missions for sure. 👌

Onya Josh, reminds me of once when your dad and I got out of the boat on to Admiralty Island in the Cairns Trinity inlet with a crab hook....we didn't get any then though.

Nice mate. Definitely caught more than I put in the videos, but a lot of empty crabs that get thrown back. There’s definitely always crabs you might miss. If I’m with the old man we’ll always do better with both sets of eyes on the water.

Oh man it’s a mission. I’m not sure how hard it must look for people watching but it is intense. Especially when you’re in deeper water too 😮‍💨

Gidday Josh, i took my daughter down there last week for an overnighter and to unwind 😅😅😅, we walked in to some lakes to drop a couple of pots just to see and walk around and found lots of undersize bucks and heaps of jennies, my daughter commented on what a good woekont it is but i told her its a lot harder with long work pants on. We walked the morning the middle of the day and the afternoon and only seen one legal buck covered in slimey mud at the top of his hole at low tide, he won that battle. We didnt even wet a line but we ended up with eight from the pots, one of which we released as it was a bit soft and we did notice how it wasnt as energetic as the full crabs like you said. By the way my daughter couldnt understand why at the start but i told her thar Josh would kick my #@&€ if he found out 😊. Shes a nurse and works in a sterile environment every day and ended up covered in mud and had a ball, it was great fun. Cheers.

Sounds like a nice overnight trip, I definitely wanna do one myself with this cooler weather approaching. Good to hear your daughter getting amongst it too. Shame you missed that buck, good thing you doubled down with the pots 😂 thanks for the comment mate. It’s always nice hearing how fellow fishos are going with the information they pick up from my content. Means a lot 🙏🏻

Thanks for the comment man. Here in Queensland it definitely is 7 per person/ 14 per boat (with 2 or more people on board)

I thought it was 10 per person too. I recently bought 2 A grade crabs for my wife and i for our anniversary. They were not worth the price, not real nice at all.

How the times change hey 😅 definitely pays to check every once in a while. That’s a shame about the crabs you bought, was it just a bad flavour or were they kept alive for too long and started to go empty again?
