Crazy how these seem to be rare when they look like a demon fish crossed with a stone fish and would probably get released through sheer ugliness by everyone here in Australia. You would think there would be millions of em! But those in the know..... know these are very tasty fish. Mostly head but have a beautiful white fillet which the skin can be just peeled off without a knife having to skin it. Good chewing 👌

Bloody love the Brett and Timmy adventures. Always feels like an epic video every time. The pot that got raised from underneath I have been told it’s very common for them to feed from underneath so I saw a video of a bloke who used plastic dinner plates and them under the baits to prevent it happening

Put some plastic plates in before your bait to prevent the crabs eating it from the outside of the pot if it isn’t sitting flat 👌🏼

yeah man as others have said its a stargazer, pretty rare find these days. that one was probably a bit small to get any meat off, they have a massive head which takes up a lot of space. I've always let them go as they are too pretty for me to kill, just watch out for the green gall bladder (attached to the liver) if you do want to fillet, as if popped it'll ruin the flesh. great run of muddies in the cold, might try for a few myself down south as they'll have stopped moving about so much where I am cheers

The old channel audience was built around boat building and down south fishing. The algorithm doesn’t really promote my videos to the right audience. This channel was started around all my up north adventures. So after the boat building was finished I was always going to come back and keep growing this channel. I seem to get way better reach with fishing on this new channel then I ever did on my old channel.
