Hey, Lamont, do you have any plans on revisiting Oakwood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia? If so, I think I have a few graves you missed the last time you were there, especially in the Confederate Section. On the far end of Section C, along the first row, there’s the grave of a John T. Young who was wounded at Gaines Mill (the stone says “Gaines Farm”) and died on August 5th, 1862. What makes that specific grave interesting is that there’s an additional epitaph on the reverse that tells us how the stone was recreated based on the original stone and erected by the family of Young. It’s a touching story because it shows how deeply the Young family cared about their young John, even long after he died.

When there is a murdered person, there lies a family that has been senseless destroyed by a life taken. Respect is deserved, and should be given. If they are no longer feeling the sadness, or emotion by a senseless crime they should stop doing it. I love that you call it for what it is. You give the respect to the victims as it should be. Thank you for that. ❤️❤️

The letter that Doris wrote to her mother broke my heart, I’m thinking she felt something and knew something bad was going to happen that’s why she wanted to go home, I was born 5 days before her in 1967, I am 55 now with a grandchild something she never got the chance to experience and never will… truly sad!

@Vicki Hughes That letter tore me up, too. I could feel how badly she didn't want to be there. I wonder if she got to mail the letter before she was killed. I went to a church camp once when I was about 10 or so, in the mid 60s. I hated it also, but it was because the other girls picked on me. This camp had actual cabins which housed about a dozen or so girls and a counselor was in each cabin with the girls. I wonder if Doris was picked on because she was bi-racial.

When covering any true crime, one must take a similar oath that Doctors take in the Hippocratic Oath, "First, do no harm" You must always keep in mind that the victims families may be watching. I agree, same here. I love Lamont, I mean no hate here. Many of the people ripping this KZreadr seem to be reaching with a bit of a sexist bend. Things like attacks on appearance that are geared towards female looks, eh, that’s not necessary. I need to add that people here keep using the excuse of “violent media” as an excuse for how people are today, that’s a take not based in reality. Ed Gein was in the 40s. The 50s, Charles Starweather. This case took place in the 60’s. Manson, Bundy…the beat goes on. YOU READING THIS…HAVE YOU KILLED ANYONE TODAY? I’m pretty sure we can all agree that we love reading/ learning about true crime, but none of us are doing them. If you are, you have bigger issues than the rest of us. People that do this more often than not are just a**holes. Sometimes they have legit issues, but mostly they are monsters deep down. Don’t fool yourself with the idea that it’s anything more than that. Remember, video games weren’t a viable excuse in the MANY years of crime before KZread was a thing.

The one he’s talking about specifically doesn’t either. Yes she talks about the sponsor in her videos. She might bring up what her and her family did over the weekend. She can be bubbly bc it’s her personality. But while actually telling the story she is always compassionate. She seems very personable. If plugging your patreon or even having sponsors is now “disrespectful” then when these stories are reported on the news let’s make sure they don’t have commercials or anyway to make money to be able to deliver the content.

@@courtneyboutin4405 EXACTLY. Just because this guy wants to minimize the hard work/time it does indeed take to supply accurate researched information that you then put out into the world, then that's on him. He shouldn't shame others for their hard work. It's clear that what he actually has against them is their sponsorships and their subscriber count. It's punching down that, in the case if the woman, he implies that she only has these things because she's cute. As if a beautiful woman can't earn her position in life based on merit. The way someone speaks about others actually speaks volumes about what they choose to hide about themselves.

This is how evil does, it permeates everything surrounding such a sickening event. Thank you for speaking so passionately about the coverage of such crimes on YT and how it can get way off base. I've been going through pure hell for the past month and I'm not going to lie, Lamont, the only thing that has gotten me through my horrible reality has been your amazing sense of humour --- and it's a unique one with such sensitivity and understanding of a Human Being that I can't even put my finger on it to identify this quality, but you possess it, and it's outstanding. The other thing is the WAY in which you tell a Story, and you go into reciting the Script on "Who said what to Whom and How" that's amazing. So, yeah. Been watching your videos non-stop and I also appreciate that you have such a keenness for the people your Videos cover and it's a rarity now. Because Social Media has made people apathetic to others and their Stories. So much that they cover it to merely exploit the Story for viewership. So it's no wonder that I Subbed to your Channel. The other thing is when you mentioned the KZreadr behaving in this tactless way, honestly only 2 women came to mind, and one of them, their initial is B.S. while the other's is K.R. So I really can't tell. But I definitely know and can tell you that I immediately stopped watching their Channel after a couple of Videos because of the very thing you mentioned. So, that's just MY experience. But I can never tell you if it's the same person.

It’s all about the Benjamins. If our corporate and political leaders justify abhorrent behavior by pointing to the money, why would anyone in our society do any differently? We elevate the super rich to levels bordering on worship because they accumulated massive wealth. But the ability to hoard money is neither laudable nor indicative of superior wisdom or intelligence. Ask Bill Gates how to solve poverty???? WTF? That’s like asking Satan how to solve for Evil. None of his solutions is based upon any real concern or expertise. Elon Musk? What did he “invent”? Given a $4.5 Billion grant, how many others could have created a successful electric car company? Millions? I’m sure. It’s all smoke and mirrors. We’ve completely lost the thread of civilized society because money has become the only reason to do anything. And we wonder why the general mental health of Americans is slipping away?

He doesn't make jokes, he respects the victims, he shows pictures but only of the location and/or people involved when they were alive, and the overall tone is still sad and gloomy. He does have sponsors and a Patreon, but he only shows them at the very beginning or end of his videos. Disturbian also stays on topic the whole time and has a history channel (Disturbian History) that goes over horrible historical events too. I highly recommend him as well as Mr. Ballen. Mr. Ballen not only is a great story teller who can keep your full attention, but he also treats the victims like they're people (their personality, what they liked to do, their family, etc.). Mr. Ballen also talks about other things besides true crime like people going places they're not supposed to trespass and more. I was at Camp Scott a month before the murders. We were virtually unsupervised. We heard movement in the woods behind our tent that didn't sound like animals. We yelled and yelled for our troop leader to come, but she never responded, and at one point, as girls were headed into the showers, two young men just came walking through the woods about 50 feet from the shower area. No one did a thing. There's absolutely no doubt that Gene Leroy Hart was guilty. And myself and a few others (who were from Locust Grove and adults at the time this occurred) had some suspicions about the sheriff. I'm not thrilled about Chenowith making her documentary or whatever it is, because from what I've seen, she seemingly wants attention for "almost going to Camp Scott". The moment the murders hit the news, my almost 11 yr old self knew that if I ever had children, they wouldn't go to camp based on my experience and what has happened to these poor little girls. Edit: The refusal to convict Hart was based on his being a tribal member and it was only because of "racism and lies" that he was being accused. There are people to this day in that area who still deny his guilt and will claim that he was framed and falsely accused, even in the first case. They deny the reports of him stealing women's underwear from clotheslines, etc.,. DNA has now, apparently confirmed his involvement.

A lot of them do that and a couple of them are very respectful. I enjoy watching the makeup part while listening...especially Danielle Kirsty and Zara V. They don't make light of it all but still do their makeup. I actually find it very calming to watch.

Actor, Kristin Chenoweth is hosting a documentary about this case on Hulu called, "Keeper of the Ashes"...she is from that area and was supposed to be at that camp the day the girls were horribly murdered💔...but she was sick and her mother wouldn't allow her to go. I haven't made it through this particular video yet, but shame on anyone who doesn't take the victims of true crime seriously, especially the unsolved cases. Thank ya"ll for covering it (again)...I can only imagine it was pure terror for these little girls who never got to grow up💔

Listening to the last few minutes brought me to tears. I lost my mother in 1982, she was raped and killed during a robbery at her restaurant in Fresno CA. It touches my heart how you tell stories about the victims in your videos and visit their graves while showing respect and making sure they are not forgotten 😢.

I don't mind the occasional wittiness, snarky joke, or smooth turn of a phrase. As long as, in the end, the KZreadr doesn't lose focus that the victim of the crime is who matters... not their newest make-up, puppy, or vacay. Thanks for being real Lamont.

I’m sorry but I respectfully disagree. I like both channels and I had seen Christina’s video when she released it last month and after Lamont’s commentary I was shocked to think she could have been so dense in her delivery and I kept thinking I don’t remember so I went back to watch it thoroughly instead of letting it play in the background. Yes she discussed her patreon and she is bubbly but that is her intro. I would have taken issue if she had been talking about the VPN and April fools had it been in the middle of delivering her story but she didn’t do that. She did her intro and once she started to discuss the children her demeanor changed and she stated how her child was even a Scout and brought up her child in his uniform and how it broke her heart. So Lamont doesn’t have an intro and he is somber throughout the entire video not everyone has to do it all the same.

@@ebonydragonfly yep, she has an intro she does on ALL her videos, Lamont did creepy crush vids about her and removed them, people think he's genuine, go watch his troll channels. It is all for money, he calls it "You Tube ballin", certainly is and these people are drinking the coolaid. If l was going to talk seriously about these horrific events I would drop the goofy troll talking about sex all the time and how ugly certain types of women channel and stick with this. He's no better than any other KZreadr respect wise. Aint that right "Black bigalo"? Christina has a huge following because she is genuine and a loving mother. She actually IS a parent, she wouldn't collab with you Lamont and l figure that's why you did this.
