Yes, people complain about veal but don't say anything about lambs. Even meat chickens are slaughtered around 6 weeks old but they have to be because they grow so fast they can barely walk at the point. A lot of the meat Americans eat are baby animals. 💔

I once rescued 2 very young lambs that got separated from the ewe in a cold rain storm, they were not even shivering just limp on the floor so took to my car and dried the put under the heater blower and they bounced back and just wanted to stay with me in the car lol, I'd have to be near starving to even consider them as being food. I was raised vegetarian so was always the strangest thing knowing that humans eat animals let alone baby animals like wtf.

There is so much to say about this take... But i'll stick to the issue of "lamb" being fancy... 1:18 Young meat is tender meat... Withouth being too creepy about it, the muscles fibres (the bit we eat) are shorter and more densely packed in "young meat"... Throughout history, young animaks have been preferred over older animals because of the tenderness of the meat. Eating an animal while young means less meat per animal (more expensive) but also less potential for new animals (breeding)... And therefore more expensive.

God accepted sacrifices of lamb from the Isrealites. There were certain cuts of the lamb that He told the priests to set aside for their food. The term Lamb of God comes about from Jesus being the ultimate sacrifice. The Bible does, however, state that we shouldn't be eating pigs.
