Welcome to the wonderful theme park of Theme Park! Let your imagination run as far as your finances will allow. Will this Saturn port allow you to dominate the world with a theme park empire just like its PC original? I find out, with a little help from Bullfrog's head honcho.
Special thank you to Peter Molyneux for doing an interview with me for this and other future episodes. The portion of our talks used for this episode was recorded on December 9th, 2019. For more Molyneux on PandaMonium, check out the Hi Octane episode in the playlist. It was produced and published early, before my release date order went gold.

Welcome to the series where I review every single Sega Saturn game released in North America by order of release date. I made a spreadsheet with all the games satakore.com has as American releases, listing them off by order of release date, including sources. All the games are narrowed down to the month they came out in the U.S.

I think I find your videos on the more obscure Saturn games to be the most entertaining just because you're able to get in touch with the actual devs. Can't get enough man, I love what you're doing

Full respect for an American referencing "loadsamoney!" by Harry Enfield 😂 Well done!
I just realized that with this vid, you passed the 10% mark. Congrats, and great vid! ❤ Pico ❤
"Pandaman dives into a deep sim/strategy game without reading the manual first, only to realize he should read the manual" is becoming my favorite sub-genre of KZread video.
Dude I seriously hope you get to every Saturn game. It may take some time but I’m in for the long haul. Brilliant one of a kind content. I thought about doing the same someday but you do it better. I love the fact you are giving EVERY game, sports or not, a thorough shake down.
I'm British, but you saying "no matter" in a terrible English accent now lives in my brain rent free
i have no idea how i had not seent his channel before, these videos are seriously high quality and high effort with fascinating subject matter, thank you for uploading
Gary made a complete 180! GG, Gary. GG. Love hearing about the "behind the scenes" with Molyneux himself. Nice work as always!
Put some respect on this channel for getting Peter by god Molyneux and other devs on the horn to talk about these games!
YES. Theme Park still is a favourite sim of mine, though nowadays I’d rather get that fix via RCT and PC, but the simplicity of the game was so good that I still play it from time to time. Good content as always, great to hear Molyneux’s interview throughout. I suggest a good alternate title: Panda’s descent into crying insanity through children’s theme park suffering But wait. Panda? How am I supposed to make my legs go right with P I C O ?
Yay!! Another one!.. Highly underrated series my friend. I've never even owned a Saturn lol
These videos deserve way more views. The fact that you’re able to get the developers to do interviews is really cool and informative.
Yeeeeees, we've been waiting for this! Better than any Black Friday deal
Another great video in the series, keep 'm coming! And that outro was just the best, a cherry on top of the sundae.
I always love your reviews and the added interviews only make them more awesome. But, I kid you not, every month I have a panic attack that you've given up on these. Within 24-48 hours, you post another one. Phew!
I really liked Theme Park. Played it a lot on Mega Drive. The Saturn version did really add much to it. Have it on 3DO too (the console isn't called the Panasonic 3DO by the way). The Mega cd version is really rare and expensive. Love your review again!
One of the games I bought when I got my Saturn earlier this year.
Interesting to hear how much importance the console makers attached to PC ports. Looks like the Saturn got as good port here. Great video as always!
THANKS A LOT for your hard work on this series. And thanks for making my day happier.
This was highly entertaining. Definitely going to check out the other games in your series!
Wow, and here I was thinking Theme Park was a Rollercoaster Tycoon ripoff, but the first game in that series, which I'd always thought of as the Sim City equivalent for amusement parks, didn't release until 1999. Rollercoaster Tycoon never had the stones to make you commit suicide when your park fails (as far as I know). Side note: I love how you're always surprised to have fun.
Nice one on interviewing Molyneux. I always liked his enthusiasm for his creations, and the medium in general, and felt like he got a fair bit of unwarranted criticism back in the day. Anyway, great vid as always! On to the next 😀
My mom bought me Theme Park for my “Panasonic 3DO” in mid-nineties as a “welcome gift” after I returned from 2-weeks school trip (I asked specifically for TP after I was considering a game to pick during the whole stay and once had seen my classmate play it on his PC). I always wanted to build the “iconic” roller coaster, but sadly never got that far... Saturn version was certainly better :-)
Some of the commentary in this had me in hysterics. Much like Theme Park back in the day. Great game and loved it.
I just discovered all your videos three days ago and I catch up each and every of them. Fantastic current work and Great great work for the coming years. They are going to become a reference for easy to access developers interviews. So don't give up, please, and congratulations for your project !
Great work put into this channel, can’t wait to see it grow!
I'm so glad you're back panda
I can remember excitedly running into my local Toysrus when this game was released, because the manager told me that they had a brand new Saturn game to try out (yes, we called Toysrus ahead of time). I hated the experience. What a disappointment. Then I went home and tried it out on PC and….I hated it. I will never play this game. But I will be back to watch more of your videos, this was informative and more importantly, hilarious. I❤PandaMoniumReviews
Really impressed by the production value on these videos, keep up the great work!
Let's get dino park tycoon on the saturn. Get on it hackers!
Saying Demis is an AI genius is underselling it, he's been leading Google's AI research as the CEO of Google Deepmind
I'm so glad you do interveiws with people but I have to ask how do you contact people that are willing to do interviews

Usually, it’s as simple as reaching out to them via social media or email. With Molyneux, I had to go through his PR staff.
Keep it up, these are awesome!
Excellent as always! Share the crap outta these vids peeps! This channel deserves WAY more attention.
I loved this game on the Sega Mega Drive. Hoping to pick up a copy on Saturn soon and jump back in. It's only been like 30 years, I should remember everything 😁
Great video! Thank you really much.
Man, I love the Iron Chef wrap up every time it happens.
Always impressed with this series Panda! I wonder where that dog is now
one of my favorite episodes
I wanna fight the man who abused that Pico.
Great content!
Another great review!
As a kid I rented the Genesis game a few times and now I own the Playstation 1 game that I found for a few bucks a little over 10 years ago. I bought both this and the sequel to this, Sim Theme Park. This 1 is so much more harder and I love it for that. I just wish my clean up people would stop cutting grass in a corner somewhere and clean the pathways I placed them on. The sequel fixes this by letting you place routes for the workers. That's 1 this and maybe the only thing I like more about the sequel.
Oh my god thank you so much for the subs during the Molyneux interview, it's been so irritating seeing super low quality video calls being used in so many ads and videos over the past year with audio so bad you can barely understand some of the fuckers.
I am looking forward to the episode on the impressive Saturn port of Syndicate Wars. 🙂
Tip on the bad Skype audio: some people have the other person record a copy of the audio on their end so there is a copy without compression. I understand this can be a big ask when you're already asking for their time just doing the chat, though.😮
I had this. I had a 19" television and was unable to read any of the text. I wanted to like this, but couldn't read anything on the screen.
two in a row 🙏
Why no syndicate on saturn?
Thought for sure that one comment was headed towards “perform a self-sterilization” haha
I might have missed something, but where are Episode 23 and 24?

Those are Black Fire and Dark Legend, which I reviewed back when my release date order was different/less accurate. I still need to update the thumbnails for those videos. With more accurate release info, their episode numbers changed.

Keep up with the outstanding work on Saturn's games lore!
20:50 Isn't the orignal version the Commodore Amiga one? I thought the PC port came later.

Recorded release dates from that time period can be sketchy, but based on what I could find, the DOS Theme Park came first. I’m more surprised you didn’t have anything to say about the interview subject in this episode. :)

@@PandaMoniumReviews I thought it was like shoooting fish in a barrel if I said anything :D He did appear in three of my very early videos when I did the retro corner, but he's probably not even aware I exist :P

we meet again larry, whenever i see you in the comments its like running into an old friend who i never met over the years here on youtube lol. from politics to gaming guru larrys down in the comments!
Moleneux gets a bit of flak but he's always a good interview. He's a whole string of smash hits for years as well so the rep is very undeserved.
I'm not very happy with your review or your Theme Park sir! From the rampant animal abuse and talks of 1990's American craftsmanship...I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna bring out the big guns- Atari Jaguar! I'm sorry, I saw no other way around it. I had to set the record straight with the biggest console in US history....wait, I think I misspelled worst. ;) At any rate, this game is the biggest time sink I have ever seen next to WoW. I didn't want to play Theme Park, I didn't care about it, but when your super hot exgirlfriend (not ex at the time) tells you she wants you to buy it for a stay at home date...you don't say no (PlayStation version). The only problem was that we could not stop playing that damn game! That my friend is what we call a huge mission failure. ;)
