The Flip Flop is another thing that was really important to add! So now, we can switch on and off individual blocks in a Helix or similar devices just as if they were physical pedals - very cool, very important. Thanks for that! Can't wait to check it out.

GigRig gear is incredible. It’s fun to watch people create tones and understand all the ways to use complex boards even when I’m not capable of doing either one.

Awesome! All of these features are killer, there is no “fluff” that no one would ever use put in there just to make the version “more for the sake of more”. Can’t wait to install it. Kudos to all the Gigrig team, you guys rock!

thanks so much for the update! I have been really missing the subtractive stomp mode - and I am soo happy to have a bank down button now! I have loved (and gigged) my G3 board before - now it will be perfect!

Only half way in and I realized I need to get a G3 again. They've added pretty much everything I wanted from it that it didn't have. Hoping the second half of the video says they added all the midi programming into the app. If you can setup presets using an app or windows pc that would be the perfect system.

Got the G3. Works great. Really intuitive. No saving presets (pretty neat trick!). Solved the sound issues I was having with the Boss ES-8. Now the switcher sounds transparent as it should. Parallel processing is much easier on the G3 as well. Thank you for making a great product.

(Edit: Found the answers I needed in the update manual. I’m not sure many people know this exists. Would be nice to have it at the end of the standard manual.) Can I get some clarification on sending separate midi messages on the off press? I’m finding myself unable to accomplish this. It would be awesome to have a revised operational manual written explaining the new features since release as well and some use case explanations. Also, any news on getting older serial number units the tuner modification? Last I heard there were problem sending them back from the United States. Thanks! Love my G3!

The return process to get the tuner sorted has been tricky due to a bunch of things but we are working on an alternative solution and e we I’ll let you know asap. 🙏

The GiG RiG G3 and G3 ATOM are an awesome piece of kit #SoMuchWant But they are priced at a premium, and there are supply chain delays limiting supplies to Retailers around the world. I am hoping there will be periodic sales at the Holidays and on #Daniel and #Mick's Birthdays. #ThatPedalShow The G3 and G3 ATOM are available direct from GiG RiG at their UK and USA online stores. The price might be close enough so the G3 is the best option. The G3 is 18 inches wide and the G3 ATOM is 11-12 inches wide, not much difference in width. But if you fly with your guitar and pedalboard rig, then maybe the G3 ATOM allows for a more compact pedalboard.

Really nice! I got my G3 few weeks ago and I built it on my pedalboard. Is amazing! I’ll like to ask you something, just to be sure: I did a preset with a PARALLEL chain, when I try to activate the TRAILS on that preset the PARALLEL will automatically disengage. Is that normal or I have to do something else to be able to have both functions on the same preset?

It depends on if you’re joining the parallel or not. Without joins you should get trails. Do the update and if you have any issues just get in touch through support@thegigrig.com 👍

I’m new to G3 and to MIDI. I’ve wrapped my head around changing presets with PC changes, but the programming for selecting the looper function on the Timeline is eluding me. Any chance you could do a demo video walking through how you programmed this set-up? It seems like an incredibly useful update!

Can I make a request? Make the AUX/Tuner button footswitch assignable and is there a way to remove the pre/post gain meters on the screen? When I’m in song mode it cuts into the Names, maybe have them appear when you adjust pre/post and then fade out or go horizontal across the bottom. Loving the G3 Thanks!!!

Sorry if you already figured this out, but the AUX/Tuner button is foot-switch assignable. Same as setting any preset. If you use the built in Tuner, it will activate that on the screen for you and you can take down pre-gain all the way for a mute.

Fantastic update! Dan, still a couple of issues though - I use a disaster area midi controller to change banks, works GREAT in bank mode, but in song mode it doesn't sync up / change songs, and then the actual bank button/footswitch is our of sync with it (you can see what bank it still thinks it's on in that secondary line of text below the song name). Additionally, if I'm on bank 1 preset 1 and that has a hidden preset, when I send a MIDI message to go to Bank 2 preset 1, it enables the hidden preset and I have to select preset 1 to get it to switch. Any chance these are known/being addressed? Thanks either way!

Hi Dean, absolutely. You can add the outputs in StompBox mode so it will add the outputs separately on top of a preset. Or you can have the outputs in a hidden preset and switch between them, or in flip/flop stomp box modes assigned to separate footswitches. A bunch of different ways you can do it. 🤓👍

Any news about the tuner mod on G3 for european customers? I was in contact with you in summer 2022, but you told me that it was not possible because of high customs fees and that you were figuring out a way to offer this also to us...

You can access all the presets from an external midi device. Look at the PC/CC* features

Hi Dave, head to the website and under support you’ll see Software Updates. There you’ll Se the iOS option and the google chrome option. Just follow the prompts on screen. Make sure you do a bank up first 👍
