We just finished building a house. I am not a trained interior decorator, but I have been told I am good at design and color. Unfortunately, I made a few stupid mistakes, and missed some architectural issues. Now I am making corrections, where it is realistic. Thought being, if I would have worked with an interior decorator for even a few hours, it would have been less expensive then paying for the corrections. In the end, we are super happy with the house, but this is one lesson I learned

I cant believe an agent allowed photos of the home to go up. The home itself looks nice but someone should've stepped in and told them this wont sell looking like this. It would've been better to post bare, or please have it staged. Yes, good feature.

Agreed! I think so many r/e agents think they have “experience” in this arena but clearly that’s the contrary. These are in fact design criminal offenses. Hard to look at even as a novice designer.

Hello Nina Loved the video. Definitely a great idea for a series!! Can you do a video of flooring and styling? Is it ok to have tiles downstairs and timber upstairs and if so how do you work out a way to complement them especially in a contemporary home?

UPDATE: I received one of my rugs today and I am thrilled! It is perfect. Nina you are incredibly talented! My rug is a piece of art! ( I have a Ruggable from many years ago and have been wanting to buy another because the Ruggable quality is amazing, but the designs were boring, until YOU!!) Thank you! R
