The WORST Hypothyroidism Mistake 😳 (Hashimoto's too)

In all of my years as an autoimmune coach, I haven't seen a mistake worse than this that you can make for your hypothyroidism - and it's one that got me too. It wasn't until I could barely function that I fixed it - and I don't want that for you! So learn what this mistake is so it doesn't cause you YEARS of struggle and pain too.
The next video in the series will be coming on August 9th!

    Very helpful information, as usual. I literally had a "you can't do anything about it" conversation with the doctor today! The US medical system is not interested in finding and curing the root cause. They want to treat symptoms with little pills up until the point that they tell you that 'we don't have any pills for what you have'.

    Wow, how ironic you had one of those conversations with your doc today! So so true though about always treating symptoms with pills until they can’t anymore.

    I have so much appreciation for videos like this. Thank you so much for taking the time to make them. And helping to inform people correctly. I know most of this stuff based on my own journey with hashimotos and tenaciously trying to find out the truth. But I know this video must help SO MANY people. Thank you so much again! ❤

    Hi Michele, thank you for sharing your story and providing such valuable information. My health case is very similar to what you had gone through. I have ordered your recipe ebooks and plan to take the community membership as well. I was going through your videos, where you mentioned that your naturopathy doctor guided you with the AIP protocol, so I was thinking that along with your autoimmune community membership, I could also use a naturopath doctor and I would be very grateful if you could share your doctor’s name and/or suggest any other good doctor/s that you might be aware of. Thank you and GOD Bless.

    14 years ago my doc said I’d be on a pill for the rest of my life. One naturopath told me to remove gluten and soy from my diet. I always thought what I had was incurable. Doctors told me that there was no way to reduce antibodies.

    I have been having my TPo dropping down for 6 month. To a point when my symptoms weren’t present. The diet, the gut healing and the stress response. All helped. A month ago all of a sudden a TPOs went back up x3 with the same lifestyle changes in place. If course I became symptomatic again. Not fully sure what caused the strike exactly, but anyone experienced that?

    I put my Hashimoto's into remission using the Autoimmune Protocol, and when I asked my doctor to reduce my thyroid medication, she miscalculated and increased it, sending me into hyperthyroidism. I've spent the last six months suffering from insomnia, anxiety, and depression while desperately working to get relief using a ton of different modalities. It's getting better slowly, but the trauma this caused my brain is going to take a long time to fully heal from.

    Im so conflicted. I was just diagnosed with hashimotos hypothyroidism. I have read so many different opinions of how to help hashimotos. From low progesterone, gluten free, medications,or a leaky gut as the problems. My doctor wants to just do the thyroid med and let my thyroid die. I have MS and had a total hysterectomy a couple years ago and never had this problem before.

    What are some of the things you did environmentally to get rid of toxins? Soaps, deodorant, laundry detergent? Thanks

  • @MicheleSpring

    @MicheleSpring

    11 ай бұрын

    Yeah, I switched all of my personal products to toxin-free versions, like I use a goats milk soap in the shower (my shampoo is iffy though as I hated all of the natural versions), moisturizers (I've been using Primal Life Organics serums), spray cleaners for counters (I use vinegar and distilled water), and for hand soap I use castille soap mixed with distilled water and a few drops of essential oil for scent. Things like that... I can't do anything with a strong scent 🤢 I'll admit I'm not completely clean and there are some products that aren't the best, but that's been after years of trying out some things I didn't think worked as well, etc. So it's kind of like a give-and-take compromise situation with some things. But I try my best 😀

    Please help me I feel like I’m dying everyday… my body hurts constantly I’m tired all the time my hair is falling out if I get cold and get goosebumps it sends pain through my body that feels like it’s electrocuting me I can’t think straight my joints hurt and so much more I’m 37 I got a TSH test it was 2.1 then checked months later 3.3 then months later 5.2 at 5.2 my doctor put me on Levothyroxine the smallest dose and it shot my anxiety thru the roof so I started taking half I took it for months never felt better… I finally stopped taking it all together 5 months later AFTER STOPPING THE MEDS my TSH was 2.5 … my life is falling apart I literally can’t function anymore be been on the AIP diet for months nothing is better… I don’t know what to do or who to go see… do I see my regular doc or my rheumatologist or an endocrinologist?! I literally feel like I can’t live like this another day… I feel like something inside me is killing me. I’ve always been extremely active. Now I can barely move. When I look at all my symptoms it always takes me to thyroid things. I also have fibromyalgia. My mother and sister have hypothyroidism and fibromyalgia as well. Please if you have any advice please point me in any direction… I’m barely hanging on and I’m scared it’s something much worse than thyroid issues because I’ve changed my entire lifestyle and eating habits with no relief.

    I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through all of this! It sounds like there possibly is some underlying issue that is affecting everything, especially if you’ve been on AIP (assuming strictly) for months. Is it possible for you to work with a more functionally minded doctor or naturopath? Or perhaps your doctor may be open to it, but usually when issues persist like this isn’t is a gut infection (something like H pylori), parasites, or nutrient deficiencies (like anemia I think can cause anxiety). I’d definitely look into the nutrients as sometimes despite our best efforts to get the nutrients through diet, it may not always work and supplementation may be necessary. I’d make sure they check your iron levels but especially your ferritin levels (iron storage) and if it’s not at least 40, then request that you supplement until it’s at least over 70. (70 is required for hair growth). That’s one of the most common issues that people with thyroid issues experience, so perhaps it’s that, but it could be a B12 deficiency or something else entirely. But that’s where I’d start. Hope you can get to the bottom of it as I know how hard that can be!
