I looked up 3 min long workouts that I can do while in bed. I bargain with myself- “I will stretch for 5 mins if I get to do it in bed” - “sure okay” “I will do a 3 min ab workout if I get to do it in bed”- “yeah that doesn’t sound too bad” Start where you are.

Thank you for these videos. I have Sjogren’s and stopped exercising for four years because of the fatigue. I used to do HIIT and cardio 4-5 times a week. This year I am getting back into an exercise routine and it has been so challenging. In my mind I can push harder each week to make progress, but my body is not in agreement. It’s such a challenge to not get discouraged. Your videos have provided helpful insight.

I can walk inside for 5 minutes. But so many things affect me and start a flare that I haven't been able to increase the time.

Thank you so much for this. I’ve had an autoimmune Illness diagnosed for nearly three decades. Hashimottos (partial removal), RA, shograns, & fibromyalgia. I was in remission for about 9 years so I thought I was possibly past the worst, so wrong. I learned about exercise intolerance only recently. I’ve always been active. I’m a yoga therapist of 23 years so I had to take a bit of my own advice. These videos have been so validating of what I have come to know to be true. Really appreciate you.

I manage my uveitis very well by not doing stressful exercises. Even doctors never said that. They say exercise is good and don't stop. Great video as always. This is really a key factor. But nobody knows or talks.👍

You're so right - they typically say exercise is a good thing. I mean, it IS a good thing - but they don't tell us that there's a difference between stressful exercise and gentle, supportive exercise.

For some reason walking is the thing that wipes me out. But I’ve found that dancing with a belly dancing class at the senior center has helped me. We aren’t dancing the entire time and it’s mentally stimulating enough that I’m not focusing on what hurts or how tired I am. Plus the music and the friendships are such a boost. I’ve even convinced my husband to try partner dancing lessons as our date nights (since I have celiac disease and can’t eat safely at restaurants). I’m leading a scouts backpacking trip in June where we’ll be hiking two miles to our campsite so I’ve gotta figure out how to get my stamina up for long walks/hikes. (Plus I need to figure out how to dehydrate my own meals!)

I love lifting weights 🏋️‍♀️ but it spikes my cortisol so much, I end up not sleeping for few days.
