I've told the story about my worst day of acne in highschool when I was still struggling with cystic acne and so I wanted to revisit the whole story and elaborate more on how the following years were and what the whole experience meant to me. This video is for those who are suffering now or in the past to show you that it's ok, it may feel like the most inescapable thing in the world but it is building you as a person to become more compassionate and understanding. Hopefully this video helps you out, if it does make sure to give it at thumbs up, comment and subscribe!

Hey everyone thank you so much for the support on this video! 🙏 I wanted to pin a post with some answers to the most asked questions! 😁 My four biggest tips for people who want to make change in their acne are to 1) REMOVE DAIRY 100% (not even a little tiny slip up) 2) Eat 8-16 servings of dark green cruciferous veggies 3) Drink more water (1-2 gallons a day) 4) Balance your gut flora by ingesting some form of probiotics. What protein can I use? A lot of people watching my channel are into fitness and consume whey protein, protein bars and products with dairy in them. Whey/casein proteins are concentrated dairy, you need to switch to a plant based protein. The best plant based protein is the raw plant protein from VivoLife (Yes, I'm sponsored because I support them fully - use BRIAN10 for 10% off VivoLife: bit.ly/VivoLifeBrian). They do not include preservatives, coloring or fake sugars which are are terrible for you. They also have greens that provide most of your daily vitamins, veggies and even probiotics. I promote them because their products do not break me out and are high quality. VIDEOS I SUGGEST TO WATCH (MY BEST ACNE CONTENT): EXACTLY What To Do With Acne Scarring! (From Experience): kzread.info/dash/bejne/fXqL2qVwc7OwhKg.html REMOVE REDNESS FROM ACNE & SCARRING: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mKKcmblsYpewdco.html How to stay positive and keep high self esteem (How To Get Past Acne Insecurity): kzread.info/dash/bejne/fnl7w5OamMadYrg.html Three Easy, Medium & Hard things to help eliminate acne: kzread.info/dash/bejne/q5p6ubWfirDQhZs.html I have countless more videos related to acne so if you have anything specific I suggest using the search function on my channel to see if I've talked on it before and if I haven't PLEASE request it in a comment below! I love you all and you are not alone, if you are feeling down from your acne I strongly suggest to continue watching my acne videos about self esteem to help you find the path to strengthening your confidence! ❤❤❤

I now find guys with acne very attractive haha. I couldn’t understand why I had gotten acne.. however I now know why I got it. It definitely made me more mature and taught me so much about self love and acceptance.

You know acne really does suck. To me it’s to the point where I do not want to go outside anymore. It really sucks because I have lost interest in things that I would enjoy to do on a day to day basis. I’ve been depressed, sad, mad at myself because I don’t know why this happened to me. Your a big inspiration to me bro , you really help me get through some depression and stress and I couldn’t be more grateful. People with clear skin don’t understand how much of an impact acne can have on a person. It just really sucks , it really does and hopefully one day I see the bright side in all this.

Hey man! Probably in the beginning of they year I started to break out. And it started to get worse and worse, to the point that I would literally think about wearing make up, I was tempted to spend thousands of dollars just to get rid of it. I hated the first half of this year. It completely broke my self confidence. The fact that I also played rugby didn't help also. Every. Single. Match. I would start bleeding. I started using accutane and I drank just water for almost 2 months. I shower 2 times a day. I wash my face 2 times. And before I sleep I use cream to keep it moist. My face looks much better, I have red marks left from the severe acne I had. But it's getting better and I am planning to get treatment to get rid of it. Anyone reading this, push through. It WILL get better.

The side effects are minor and you will be thanking yourself every day for taking the plunge. Minor acne for girls can sometimes be treated with birth control to. Fuck facewashes, cleansers, diets, or whatever else fad the internet gurus say. Medicinal treatment is the most effective (accutane if bad, birth control if not).

I feel your pain. I had severe acne back in High School, and because of my acne I was very careful about my hygiene and used to wash my face extremely well. And of course people just percieved me as being dirty/having bad hygiene. I took Accutane later that year, and now I never get any acne. 3 years down the line, and I never get any acne, and my facial hygiene is waaay worse than it was when I dealt with severe acne. Its very ironic how people perceive acne.

My daughter passed away two years ago tomorrow. Do I believe I was meant to see this? I really can't say. Not today anyway. I was so clueless about her insecurities. To me and most people who knew her, she was so beautiful, compassionate and her strength. She was the girl who always stepped up when anyone was being bullied. She didn't have acne, but she had double D breasts at 13. She was also curvaceous, unlike her tiny sisters. She began hanging out with kids that didn't judge her and she felt at home. Unfortunately, it didn't change how she saw herself. She began to self-medicate and still I was so clueless. I'm this crazy protective, will destroy anyone who harms my children and loved being a mother. It was my purpose. I have a list a mile long of all the ways I protected my beautiful babies, but I completely missed her drug use because it wasn't something I had ever seen before and I was by no means sheltered, which is a huge part of why they were. When you're an addict, you do things you wouldn't normally be capable of. And the viscous cycle begins. I found herthe night she died. I had talked to her ten minutes prior. And then my beautiful, strong baby girl was gone. I had issue's because I had horrible parents....the night she died I just started screaming hysterically to God that I did everything right. Why??? I considered any and all issues concerning me as character building, just as you have done. I've parented more children in need than anyone I know. Not for God, not because it made me feel good, it was all out of empathy. Now? I'm a shell of who I was and worry I'll never be that person again. Not for me, I can't care about me or much of anything, other than her daughter. She's so much like her mother that I hope I can do things differently with her. I just can't imagine loving her as much as my children and not being someone she looks up to. Maybe today is not the time for me to talk about this.... I just related so much of you to my girl. And I am truly thankful you made it to the other side without being bitter or broken. You're so right and had the love and support you needed. My daughter had me and even though I fought like hell, she's gone forever. I really wish bullies would become what they hate if only for a time and realize the damage they have caused to so many. Again, and I mean it, I'm happy for you.

That part about my granddaughter came out wrong. I love her more than anyone. I worry that I won't be capable of being the mother I was for her mom and my children. I was a paranoid freak, but it was out of love. And we laughed all the time. I could not have asked for more...until she died and nothing makes sense now.

Thank you so much. There was a comment about my post and why I wrote it. I should have started with how much I related this kind young man's struggle. And the absolute hold insecurity has on the young. My daughter was teased mercilessly about her body and it went far beyond teen angst. People tore her down, just as they did in his story. I only wish people, young and adults, would see the damage it can cause. And yeah, it didn't come out like I wanted it to, but it's still so hard to even explain it. And this one beat his demons. Not all do, so he's a true inspiration.

Every time I feel insecure about my acne, I come back to you.. you’re just so reassuring and understanding. This video makes me cry so much hearing about how people made a point to bring attention to your acne and how it’s the first thing people see when they look at you. And it makes me emotional just listening to your story because of how similar it is to my life. I feel like everything revolves around the acne on my face because of everything I’ve heard people say. When I look at someone, I can feel them judging my acne. When I talk to someone, I can see them staring at that one particularly big red spot on my face. Even my family feels the need to remind me about it when I try to forget. In every social situation I now constantly think about what everyone else can see on my face and it makes me so insecure I just wanna lock myself away. It’s also the reason I hate photos being taken of me. I just want to say thank you, if you are reading this comment Brian, thank you so much for putting yourself out there and sharing because I sure as hell know I wouldn’t have the guts to display my face so vulnerably. You look great now! And I can’t wait for the day I can look back on how bad my skin was and really appreciate just how great it is to have clear skin.❤️

We all have our "acne" so to speak, we all have something we're insecure about especially if its physical. I've always had a pointy right ear so every once in awhile i'd get called vampire or dracula at school. It never phased me though. A few months ago actually, I was at a buffet and as I was walking by this kid said "Look mom he looks like a vampire"... Lmao, I just looked at the kid and smiled. There's no point in being ashamed, embarrassed or even angry about something I was born with (pointy ears run in my family). I'm more concerned about my weight loss journey and being healthy. And I struggled a little bit with acne growing up as well, but as I got older my skin cleared up by itself. I'm 22 yrs old right now and all I get are tiny blackheads here and there.

Huge Huge support from Afghanistan, your videos really helped me in more ways than you could imagine. I cleared up just about 2 months ago and pretty much stopped breaking out after going on a strict diet and kind of devoloping my own skin care routine by doing what works best for me, and I'm really happy that you cleared up too, after all you've been through... It's amazing how you kept your head up in hardest of times and tried to motivate others. You really deserve all best. Good luck brother! :) Sorry that it was a bit long.

I have the same story too, except I've tried stricter-than-vegan detox diets, antibiotics, painful facials, a bunch of useless washes and treatments, etc...I still have cystic acne now but it's been better than what it was at its worst point. It's weird - every once in a while I'll have a week with little to no acne at all, only for it to flare up badly again. I hope I can find a permanent solution soon. Much love to all of you guys out there fighting the same battle :)

Justin Lam If you are having cheeze, butter, chocolate, Dairies, Eggs, cut them off. Anything which contains these elements will increase your acnee such as Cakes, Pizzas, Milk, Burgers, Fried potatoes..ect. I understand it's hard, but people who are acnee prones should really avoid this. Instead, start having more vegetables and fruits in your diet. Try to be creative in your kitchen using vegetables mixed with rice for example. Chicken also is good. And always use a bit of Lemon in your dishes, it helps absorbing the Oils. Because using only facial treatments without changing your diet will not help you as much. May Allah heal you and all people who are suffering from Acnee.

people with clear skin who make fun of acne feel so self entitled and they can never truly understand how devastated and broken and insecure the person suffering from acne feels. they never understand that acne wasn't a choice, it was something that unfortunately happened. I get called out on my acne every single day and I'm told I'm doing something wrong but I'm not, I change my pillowcase every week, I wash my face twice a day and moisturize with oil free sunscreen acne moisturizer, I drink lots of water, I cut out dairy and I stay away from sugar as much as I can but I still get acne. I just wish these people could live just a day in my life and see all that I'm trying to do, but getting no results, and they could see that their words hurt me more than they think. they act like I wasn't aware of my physical appearance for the past four years of my life, and they try to 'help' me but they don't know that I'm trying so hard. that's why I like this channel because I am with people I can relate to, who won't treat me like I'm different and will not tear me down.

Wow this is powerful. I am honored to have helped you out but even more excited for the life you have to live. Believe me....it looks infinitely dark and impossible when thinking of being happy in the future but regardless of your acne being there or not it WILL get better. Simply seek after things you are passionate about and try to remove yourself from the idea of being a "human" with the need for cash, items, clothing, acceptance, labels, etc. All that stuff does is validate your fear that your acne is something bad because the people focusing on those items are not going to be the ones who accept you for who you are. I accept you for who you are and I love you and I see you soul hurting. I want you to try to look in and see why your soul is hurting and what you can do to free it. (sorry friend, I just finished yoga while listening to Mooji and it really relaxed me while I was in a stressful and anxious state. Listen to him for a moment if you want :)

I still get cysts here and there and have the fear that I will relapse, but your videos are so encouraging and are really helping me rebuild the confidence that I barely even had at 10yrs old. I guess it helps that you really understand how it feels, unlike many people around me. Love what you said around 10:21

As hard as it is for us to understand I truly believe that those of us who get severe acne do so because we are on a journey of compassion. There is nothing in my life that has given me more compassion than having such a severe skin condition. I would be a completely different person if I had always had clear skin and I notice that those who have never had hardship in their life struggle to truly be compassionate. So whilst it is such a painful experience, both physically and emotionally, I believe it has a reason behind it. It helps us find the real people in our lives and develop compassions for others that we never would otherwise have. Stay strong everyone! It will get better.

so i'm here at 2:45 in the morning really starting to hate my life because of acne, i decided to watch some videos of people's stories-how to deal with it, what their experiencing-this was the first video to come up, i'm a teenager and wouldn't usually cry or really realate to videos like this, im telling you i cried throughout this whole video, happiness and sadness: i absolutely hate my acne. had it since i was 11, 4 years it's getting worse.i have acne and acne scars, i get called the most horrible things. if i get into an argument with anybody their first insult would be "you can't say anything spotty" and it doesn't sound like much, but i would always end up burrying my head into my hands, crying waterfalls. i have acne and every single morning i wake up and have to deal with looking in the mirror. i can't stand it honestly i feel ashamed and question, when is it going to disappear? i try so many products in the evening-odd days i wake up and look at myself in the mirror smiling, just to see that it's remotely better. the tiniest difference could make my whole day, i would be sending snaps to my friends saying how happy i was that one spot, or how the centre of my face is completely clear. this video has COMPLETLY changed my perspective :)) i can now go to sleep feeling 100x better about myself! although i'm still wishing, hoping one day ill have clear skin, at least i can go through all of the days up to then, feeling better about myself. thankyou so so much and please carry on these stories! they are so inspirational and really could change people's lives, i would never have the guts to do this and i respect you, more than i've ever respected anyone on youtube ❤️i love you!!

I remember being 16 and getting ready to go out to a friend's party one Saturday night. While all my friends were messaging about what outfits to wear, I was wondering how I would cover up my acne. I held it all in for about an hour until I just broke down. I started bawling and when my mom asked what was wrong I said I couldn't go out because of my acne. I had about three cysts on one cheek at the time, and general blackheads and whiteheads all over. They were painful and swollen, and I remember staring at myself in the mirror, gently brushing my index finger over my cheek wishing I didn't feel bumps, closing my eyes and imagining my face without acne. Then I got mad at myself for crying because I always got more acne where my tears slid down. Eventually my mom convinced me to go out, but only after about three layers of foundation. I was so self conscious the whole night. My friends of course told me I was crazy and people didn't care, but I cared. All of high school was hard for me because of acne, junior year being the worst. And somehow college acne was even more emotionally harmful for me because you were supposed to be "over it" by then; acne was a teenage thing. I'm going to be 24 this month, and I have two pimples on my face right now (but for the most part I am clear 95% of the time thanks to acne.org). I wish I could go back and tell 16 year old me that it's okay to cry, it will get better.

Severe acne is one of the tougher things to get through early in life. You can't ever seem to get on top of it and it dictates how you have to live your life. Maybe It won't go away. Maybe it'll beat you down. But I agree that I wouldn't go back and take it away. I refuse to lose to it.
