Live is their SUPERPOWER!!! 💯🤘🤘
❤The ladies only did one take for each of the 2 songs performed that night. Keep in mind only a few people on hand in the audience knew the Warning. The man and woman singing along are KZread reactors that made it to the performance. Theres behind the scenes footage if the stage manager who was completely blown away and told them as they came off the stages that he was now indeed a fan. The women of the Warning have much more coming to bear. They dont really allow anyone to pigeonhole them into a genre sound. The only expectation anyone should have with the Warning is authentic greatness. ❤

Best band to hit the scene in a LONG time! Incredibly talented singers and musicians. Theres not a weak member, each lady is equally powerful and extremely beautiful. Rhere also some of the most humble and down to earth girls you will ever meet. Love this band!!
They have multiple music influences, including Muse and even Classical Music. They say that almost all their songs start out on the piano with Pau (the drummer) composing them as ballads and then Dany (Guitar) and Ale (Bass) help to "Warningfy" them, which means they dissect the song and rework it completely. Each of them has composed songs but Pau is the usual instigator. She tends to write lyrics and then compose music around the lyrics, but with Evolve it went the other way around. Dany and Pau were jamming in their basement studio and came up with the riff and the drum parts before they did any lyrics. Apparently the inspiration for the lyrics was a documentary about gene modification. This music video was shot with 16 to 18 iPhones (some of the iPhones didn't work correctly) and one drone. It was recorded in a upscale car dealership's garage in Monterrey, Mexico. When they performed this live at the 2023 VMA Awards they were allowed three takes. They played two songs, MORE and EVOLVE and did one take for each. After They played EVOLVE, MTV's Stage Director said into the staff's headset, "Holy Shit!" When TW came off stage, he repeated that to them and added, "I'm a fan!"
Welcome to The Warning! I hope you continue with this awesome band, The Warning Army will be here every step of the way!
They were the only band at the VMA show that was not nominated for anything and all bands had three takes to make the best video. These sisters did it in just one take. They are pro performers as you will learn if you watch their live videos. I agree that they are best live, but in this case I'm glad that you saw them both because it's a real joy to see how Pau performs in the studio recording that was done in a car dealers garage in two hours using only 18 iPhones and a drone.

I would expect any experienced professional band to be able to get one of their main songs live in one take. The fact that others needed multiple takes speaks to those other bands' issues, in addition to The Warning's professionalism. At the behind the scenes, there was a clip of the MTV producer freaking out over how good they are. The Lava head A&R person (Devon O'Connor) was going crazy, "he said 'holy shit!'!!!". Pau commented "that means that we did our job well" or similar.
I don't know how these ladies can sound better live than in the studio, but they sure do. I saw them on back to back nights on their recent UK tour and they absolutely killed it both nights. Their new material is SO good, I can't wait to hear the rest of the album.
I look forward to more reactions to The Warning!

The Teatro concert is the gold standard of live video. It has it all. Great audio production, great video production, and an amazing performance in front of the largest crowd they had headlined up to that point. I just wish they would put it out on DVD/BluRay so I could get the uncompressed audio.
When they were finished a producer followed them off the stage and said in a hot mic, "holy s**t, I'm a fan!!"
Yeah, they are the real deal. 98% of the people at the live performance had NEVER heard of them before. Only a few true fans were there. They won the crowd and the show producer, who, on a live mic told them "I'm a FAN!!! HOLY SHIT!!!"

Please do reactions to "Hell You Call A Dream" Live at the Pepsi Center and "Dust To Dust" Live at Teatro Metropolitan !!! Also, "When I'm Alone" and "Revenant" both Live at Teatro Metropolitan. Really ANYTHING from Live at Teatro Metropolitan. And then say HELLO to The Warning Army............... HERE WE COME !!!!!!!!!
I've watched so many reactions to this performance and Pau's "Scream of Destruction" never fails to illicit a great reaction.
The Warning have sounds for everybody that like rock genres across the board. They can get hard that's heavy riff driven and can have melodic ballads. Glad you checked them out and seen how far they've come with their own original material. Check out some live performances from the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022.
The Warning does not have two songs that sound alike. They all have The Warning sound, but they are all different. No formula. So I think you will enjoy exploring their catalog. Their super power is live performance. I suggest the 2022 Teatro Metropolitan Concert. 20+ original songs including the one called Enter Sandman where Metallica was kind enough to write lyrics for them. They are dropping their 4th album, Keep Me Fed, on June 28, 2024.
It was written after watching ‘unnatural selection’ (gene editing) but has become a (abuse) survivors anthem to many. ‘23’, ‘Revenant’, ‘Amour’, ‘Black Holes’, ‘Our Mistakes’, ‘ERROR’ are all fantastic songs in your range. Also ‘When I’m Alone’ and ‘Breathe’ have fantastic lyrics you’ll love.
One of the most notable reasons why they sound better at the MTV video music awards is because this performance happened three years after they recorded the original song. At the time, Dany was something like 20 or 21. She is now 24. There’s been a lot of growth in the years. in general, however, their live performances do sound better than the studio versions. I think that performing for the crowd has a lot to do with it. In the studio, it’s just the band and the producer and a few guests. When they are performing on stage, there are hundreds or thousands of fans that have watched them grow, supported them, and had their back, all along the way. It’s hard for them not to give 200% on every performance.
Their song "More" also from the VMAs was also better than the studio version. I've been going to concerts since 1976 and they are the best live band I've ever seen. I think maybe "Yes" and "Kansas" are right up there as well.
OH Cole, soon as I saw this pop up on my feed....a big smile! I follow you and sub for Angelina Jordan and other reactions but mainly Angelina, love your reactions. Right here is, after 50+ years of being a Rocker is my favorite band in many decades! These Ladies, oldest is Dany (guitar and vocals) is 24, currently one of the best drummers(2023 rock drummer of the year award from Drumeo) is Pau (drums and vocals) she is 21 and of course there is Ale on bass (one of the best bassists around) at 19. They already have 10 years under their belts starting as preteens and teens and their talent is off the charts. About to release their 4th Album next month. They wrote a Concept Album called Queen of the Murder Scene as teens and is probably one of the best Concept Albums ever done, IMHO. The Warning Army (fans) is easily one of the largest Armies in the world and will likely be showing up here soon. Just enjoy the ride, there are NO bad songs! BTW, they shot this in a garage using 16 IPhones and a drone. They also did a Foo Fighters cover (The Pretender) as teens, shot on a hill near their home, Live: kzread.info/dash/bejne/q554zaOnkbe8hrw.html.
As many of TWA fans have said, MTV is still looking for the roof of that venue
now, Welcome to The Warning
Dany (guitar) won’t mature as a vocalist for a few years yet. She continues to hone her craft and seems to level up vocally for each successive album. She is a very powerful singer and has a great vocal belt with lots of drive. Pau (drummer) is a great vocalist as well. She sings lead on several songs and has this emotive quality to her voice that is just stunning. She’s been known to reduce grown men to tears with their ballads. Ale (bass) is also a great singer who will occasionally take a lead vocal on select songs. She doesn’t necessarily enjoy the spotlight as a lead vocalist but is instrumental in their harmonies. Ale has a more sultry and smokey tonality and has been very prominent in their newest song as the main backing vocalist which was usually done by Pau. If Ale continues to expand her vocal roles in the future TW may be able to enjoy the luxury of having 3 bona fide lead vocalists.
Great reaction. Thanks. 🙂 Fortunately, The Warning has a decent range of types of music, from ballads to stadium rock to near-heavy metal, so I'm sure you will find plenty in your taste range.

The best part of it is, it is all well-crafted, both lyrically and musically, with input from all the sisters. Lately, they've been writing with some outside help.
All the bands that performed at that stage where given 3 takes, The Warning did both songs in 1 take. They're truly talented, fantastic live band, no autotune or pitch correction or any of that nonsense.
Whether or not you like rock or even The Warning, Evolve at the VMA's was 'THE' perfect example of how to grasp an opportunity and not only make the best of it, but to go past even the next step
A common joke among us fans of The Warning is that Paulina the drummer beats the drums like they own her money. 😅😅😅

First time I heard Evolve the Mtv live version. Dani says that iconic Walter White quote. I'm not in danger,...I'M THE DANGER. I was hooked. Long life, health and happiness to this whole family.
I agree with the _Foo Fighters_ similarity... specifically to their _The Pretender_ video. Dany's over the top facial expressions and the change from white to red.

Everytime I read comments from the warning army, I learn something new. And Everytime I see a new reaction video I also feel thè emotions and enthusiasm of the reactors...
I saw them live (at long last!) this April. Yes, much better live and I've been following them for 6-7 years. BTW, I think I caught Pau missing a note, which stated clearly "no pitch correction here", and I was thankful for it. Music is a human endeavour, mistakes happen and they are a part of music. This band is pure rock heaven, great people, passionate, talented, devoted... which is why they have a fan base (The Warning Army, you already were visited by the Welcome Committee) from 5 to 105 years old, all over the world. You have started a journey which began with three self-produced records (one EP, two LP's the second an amazing concept album) and is continuing with Lava Records, their second album coming June 28th. Your auditory cortex will be grateful for what is coming to you.
Also, they are young and there was close to 3 yrs between the 2 performances, which to most wouldn't matter, but Dany was & is still developing her voice, just thinking 😋
Thank you for a great reaction to The Warning. ❤✌🤘⚡🔥
The ladies wrote this after watching the documentary “ Unnatural Selection”. It questions the wisdom of directed evolution.
Beautiful and Powerful performance
Prepare to be invaded by The Warning Army...
Dude, great reaction - SUBSCRIBED! I want you to continue your journey down The Warning rabbit hole! - The Warning Army welcomes you! 'Automatic Sun' is probably their hardest - a little harder than this, dipping their toe into heavier metal as a nice little flext just to show they can. The Drummer, Paulina (Pau - pronounced POW) is lightning in a bottle and sings like an ANGEL. Check out the song '23' Live from Teatro Metropolitan. Great little rock ballad - you'll fall in love with this band.
"Recorded in a garage". The band and team rented space in a parking deck to record the official video on 16 iPhones and 1 drone per their description. By the time they got to MTV, they had a couple years to mature in skill and showmanship. Even so, Alejandra the bassist was still only 18 (going on 19), Paulina on drums was 21, and Daniela on lead guitar was 23 -- still young ladies with exceptional talent. Great analysis. Great hearing your explanations.
It's always appreciated when things are done well and you have done the same in this reaction, thank you. Daniela, Paulina and Alejandra... The Warning. They have nothing to do with other inflated and artificially marketed bands around the world. They are the youngest veteran artists in the world of rock. Metallica, Foo Fighters, Def Leppard, Guns 'N' Roses and Muse are just some of the famous bands that have been very pleasantly surprised by TW's talented proposal, as well as all those fans who have sold out their concerts in the United States, Colombia, Peru, Chile and Argentina... In addition to Germany, Spain, France, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. No, I'm not talking about the rock festivals, where they were also very successful, but where they headlined and were the main attraction. Muse was so impressed with the young ladies who opened their concerts in Mexico, that they invited them to continue with them on their tour of Europe and even in their own country, the United Kingdom. It's redundant to say, but they were also very successful. Among TW's fans are musicians, music producers, sound engineers, roadies, vocal coaches, music critics, etc., from all over the world. In addition, and no less important, they are the first Latin American band to sign with a top-level international record label (UNIVERSAL MUSIC). And just to mention it superficially, what happened at the MTV VMAs was spectacular, as they impressed (impacted) the production staff and everyone who witnessed it very positively, the Director exclaimed at the end of "Evolve": "... Holly Shit, I'm a fan now!! ..." And the others in production let the girls know this, but he himself had already told them personally just after finishing their performance and there is evidence of all this on video. Around the world, budding rock groups are covering the band, including Asia and Australia. And all this is being done by Dany, Pau and Ale being very young and on their own merits, with discipline and professionalism. What they didn't do was to stagnate only in the field of rock in their own language, which is the "ceiling" in which other Spanish-speaking groups have always been limited... Or that they have failed. It's such a talented all-female band that they don't "exploit" their sexuality, they are educated, humble and very good human beings with a truly exemplary attitude. This year in recent days they performed as headliners in several European countries where several venues sold out and even had to change venues for others with greater capacity. And they will also perform at the "Wacken Open Air" 2024 in Germany, the most important metal festival and at the "Pol'and'Rock" festival in Poland, which is considered the biggest music festival in Europe and they will be there on the main stage. This summer they will go to Japan where they have 3 dates and on the first day they will have a collaboration with the local band Band-Maid which is generating great expectations and is very justified. They will be part of the Evanescence and Halestorm tour and will also open for Avril Lavigne. Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️
TWA here for it!
"vessel in disguise" to me means a woman who is seen as nothing but a vessel despite their outward energy and self presentation. Love this.
It you are looking for something less heavy, perhaps try Revenant live from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022. Pau, the drummer, takes lead vocals.
I believe that one of the reasons that their vocals are even better live than studio is that Dany in particular is still improving at such a rapid rate that simply playing this song a few years after recording it yields improved vocal performance. But that's not the only reason; if you compare the studio and live versions of Hell You Call A Dream (which were recorded much closer together in time), you may find that her vocal performance is far better live (certainly I think it's the greatest difference between studio and live for their vocals). They are always working on improving their performance, and they probably made some changes from the studio performance. It may also be a matter of being on stage, in front of a live audience, energizes them.
for reference, i'd say that this is towards the top end of their hardness -- this album in general seems a bit harder than the previous 2 (though they have their moments) , and certainly harder than the singles we have of their upcoming album. i will go ahead and make the distinction here between "hard" and "heavy". they have a couple that are harder but not nearly as heavy , and then also vise versa. and that's in addition to the ones that are just plain ol' softer. (i guess i just used a whole bunch of rambly words to say "it runs the gambit ; and if this is your peak, then you should enjoy this band just fine") a lot of intelligent song writing , _astoundingly_ so given their ages (particularly with the older stuff).
Pau could rob a bank with that voice
I don't know how they do it but their everything is better live. They bring more natural energy to the live performances.
My interpretation of the lyrics are form THEIR prospective to either family or society that sees them as frail little girls that need to be protected from danger (I'm not in danger I'm the danger) AND that a response to those same people that say they should just settle down and have babies (more than just a vessel in disguise). It could also be an OVERALL reference to people early on talking down about their abilities as artists and that say they should stick to certain genre or something similar (relating to pain and evolving)
Good reaction. I like these kids I do feel the need to push back a little on the notions that you really had to be a great singer back in the day. While most people my age (59) would heartily agree (I’ve noticed an increasing amount of nostalgia goggles among my peers since our 30s😂), I don’t see it. Saw everyone from the late 70s to the early 90s and there were just more bad concerts then (I’ll admit this could be due to excess, drugs, groupies etc. the kids today are more professional and rarely self destructive). And there were plenty of bad singers covered up in the studio starting with Fabian in the 60s, Leif Garrett in the 70s and an assortment of hair band vocalists in the 80s Vince Neil of Motley Crue literally recorded the Shout at the Devil album one line at a time. It would take him half the day to record vocals for one song (the same producer that related this said Robin Zander would knock them out in less than an hour) The studio has been able to carry mediocre singers for many decades
Subscribed and liked. Great reaction.
Great reviewing style! I like that you did both the studio and live versions. You admitted that this is about as heavy as you like to go, and good news, this is about as heavy as The Warning gets. 🙂 Aside from Pau's scream that you just saw, they don't do screamo vocals or super-heavy metal riffing. That said, The Warning have already released a few songs from their upcoming June album which are in dropped tunings and do sound heavy - but it's still the same stadium rock formula of catchy riffs and melodic sing-a-long choruses. You'll like anything from their 2022 concert at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX, and the production is phenomenal.
