⚡FIRST TIME HEARING⚡ - The Warning - Black Holes 😭

Ойын-сауық

Today is my reaction, review and rating for Black Holes (Don't Hold On) by The Warning. I hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think. Thank you.
NOTE: I want to thank everyone so much for the watching my videos and leaving your thoughts and opinions in the comments. It means so much to me. I appreciate all of you. I'm very much looking forward to reading what you have to say about Black Holes and my interpretation of it.
Join me as I listen to XXI Century Blood for the first time. I will be doing a live reaction to every song from the album. In order. Giving a brief review of each song as well as a numbered rating 1-10 of the song. NO script. HONEST reaction, review and rating. All reactions have been recorded and will be released 1 at a time every 2 days. Please feel free to comment and let me know how you feel about my videos. Also, and more importantly, let me know your perspective on each song and what you would rate the song on a 1-10 scale. I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with all of you.
NOTE: XXI Century Blood is the only song from the album that I did a scripted review of as opposed to a reaction video. the reason being, when I recorded the reaction video my mic was muted. I didn't want to be fake and re-record a reaction video. so I wrote a review instead. That being said, its my favorite and I prefer that style of video. let me know what you think.
Thank you for watching. Like, comment, share, & subscribe. All that good stuff. See you in the comments.
One more thing. My initial rating for the title track XXI Century Blood was an 8. Since then however it has been upgraded to a 10. I love that song.

As someone who spent 31 years as a first responder I’m blown away how perfectly a teenager captured end-stage addiction. I can see this addict sitting in an ally at the end of their rope, the loved one calling but the addict knows they’re destroying everyone around them. How many times have they came crawling back, asking for help, promising to change but every time burning the people trying to help them. Like a black hole, there’s no escape.

We vintage guys have gone to the graveyard many times to bury friends destroyed by drugs, including alcohol. We have seen them fall and crash and burn, and no one in all of these years had spoken to this as clearly as Paulina did in this song. Amazing? Yes. But also plain genius. Yes, I cry every time I hear it and it's a good cry for those who didn't get out on time. This and much more explains why The Warning is the rock and roll of the 21st century, and why it appeals to such a wide fan base.

Yep. Lost one a year older than me when he was 18. He dropped LSD, drank a six-pack, and dove off a bridge head first into shallow water with rip-rap underneath. It was sobering for dozens of us who went to school with him. I still have a 35mm slide of him. He was lighting a cigarette. The book of matches he was holding had a giant question mark on it. First time I heard this, I totally lost it, thinking of him. He'd been an alcoholic and drug user all through high school. Pau totally gets how to play the emotive empath. Genius! Yes, 10/10.

Do yourself a favor and turn the lights down, listen to the song completely, without pausing, and when you start to cry, let it out! You'll feel better. @@RichandTheWarning Their second album Queen of the Murder Scene is a concept album and best approached like a short novel. It's told in 4 chapters. As @johnager6226 said XXIst Century blood is a very The Warning album in that it is thematically cohesive but explores many different things loosely attached to that theme.

Their first EP "Escape the Mind" (2015) was the result of one of their music teachers telling them to make their own songs, and they do it trying to find their own sound, has these "Hanna Montana" vibes and they are only 15, 13 and 10 yo at that time. In 2017 released "XXI Century Blood" with the society theme in almost all the songs. Then in 2018 presented their concept album "Queen of the murder scene" in the most deepest Emo stage of Pau, saying this by her, and the notorius influences of animes and K-Pop and K-Rock culture. Then in 2019 write almost all songs for "Error" with their North America Tour in mind coming in 2020, they want songs that the people can sing and interact with the band in a concert, but the pandemic happens and then the Lava Records sign, the tour has to be cancelled and this album has to be release in two parts in 2021, first half of the songs in a EP call "Mayday" and then the full album "Error". By this time the songs are 2 years old and they want to move in a different direction, experimenting new things and make things like "Choke feat. Grandson and Zero 9:36" and between presentations in 2022 and 2023 they write and record the songs for "Keep me feed" wich gonna be release in June 28. By the songs they presented yet they are let hersefs be free and try different things like put a Guiro or a cowbell in one of the songs. I like a lot your reaction, new sub here to see your journey discovering more of this amazing band. #NumberlyGarfs

every time i hear this song, it completely destroys me. every.time. takes me to places that i thought i had forgotten about. and reminds me of things that i would rather i could forget about. masterpiece. [warning: long-winded rambling fanboy alert] i can't quite put my finger on it, but there _is_ something about the particular phrasing that does come across as written by someone who doesn't quite have 1st-hand experience but who is trying valiantly and heroically to empathize , to tell the story of someone who doesn't have a voice but whose story needs/deserves to be told (which, if i understand the story of how Pau came to write this, pretty much does sum it up). and it is that realization that opens my mind some other dichotomies that appear. the way the chorus pulls you in to soak in the experience but at the same time feels like it's too short .... such is the life of the person in the song. and then there's the performance .... in later performances, it seems that Pau has mellowed it out a bit ; but earlier performances (such as the Dakota Bar, for example) she definitely pours more in to it. i even find myself imaging that in place of the keyboard is the body of the person in the song, and instead of playing keyboard, it feels like Pau is shaking the body to wake up ... and while the lyrics say "don't hold on", the passion in Pau's performance and her body language feels like she's pleading "DON'T LET GO" .... and then her 2 sisters join in on the accompaniment , it feels like angels have come down to both usher this person out of their misery while at the same time trying to console this precious child who seems to be arguing with God himself on behalf of this broken soul. ngl, i could find out these girls torture puppies for fun, and i'd still love them simply for having performed this song. [okay, that's the end of my silly fanboy moment]

BLACK HOLES (Don’t Hold On) Songwriters: Paulina Villarreal / Alejandra Villarreal / Daniela Villarreal All alone in an alleyway Staring at my face In the reflections of broken bottles Didn't know I had this many scars I thought I'd won All of my different battles But I'm corrupt, I've got nothing left Spent all my love trying to forget Ignore your calls and I throw the phone away Please believe me when I say Don't hold on, don't hold on Don't hold onto me Don't hold on, don't hold on I've got nothing left to give 'Cause I keep on coming, begging for more And I'm slowly falling, crashing below And the things I used to hold so close, they burn And the love that used to shine so bright Was shattered like a satellite And the venom starts to swallow me whole Like black holes And I know that you try to stay But my awful ways You will never overlook And all the things that hurt me They got no remedy And they'll start hurting you too 'Cause I'm corrupt, I've got nothing left Spent all my love trying to forget Ignore your calls and I throw the phone away Please believe me when I say Don't hold on, don't hold on They don't hold onto me Don't hold on, don't hold on I've got nothing left to give But I keep on coming, begging for more And I'm slowly falling, crashing below And the things I used to hold so close, they burn And the love that used to shine so bright Was shattered like a satellite And the venom starts to swallow me whole Like black holes Like black holes Don't hold on, don't hold on They don't hold onto me Don't hold on, don't hold on I've got nothing left to give Don't hold on, don't hold on I surrender in my defeat Don't hold on, don't hold on Even black holes let me be 'Cause I keep on coming, begging for more And I'm slowly falling, crashing below And the things I used to hold so close, they burn And the love that used to shine so bright Was shattered like a satellite And the venom starts to swallow me whole Like black holes Like black holes (Don't hold on, don't hold on) (Even black holes let me be) Like black holes

This is still one of my favourite songs by TW. You’re not the first reactor ( or viewer) to be moved to tears. You may want to have a peek at the attached video from their Pepsi Centre show lat year. Pau, who was feeling sick, came on stage sat at a grand piano, with an accompanying string orchestra and belted out Black Holes. Seems like everyone of the more than 8,000 fans at the concert are singing with her. She then moved on to “Breathe” a song she said she would never play live as it is too emotional. She managed to bring herself to tears and had to cut the song short by a few bars. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lqp_qsyYc7i4k6Q.htmlsi=FtdTzcc4s-IPIMZJ
