    This routine is what I‘ve been searching for in a long time. I was so excited when I saw the title on your channel Julia because your name stands for quality content . And what can I say? The routine is doable for a beginner like me yet challenging. Unlike many other splits tutorials, it’s really well thought through and it made my legs hurt a good deal, but now they feel so light weight 😇 thank you sooo much girls 💞 I’d be excited to see more from Abigail 😃

    I make my splits since I’m four and when I’ve stopped Dance to be an Attorney, I’ve making my splits every single day to keep it. In Dance, we have to trains one hour before a split and the way to make those splits are different but it’s really right. You can make it, easier but longer than 20 minutes. Julia and her Sister are right because splits are important to ice-skating and in France The ice-skaters doens’t make splits and they are wrong. Thanks to your Sister and to my Julia 🌬🤍🕯

I hope I will see the effects as fast as I'm able to and I give myself an aim, I'm gonna do it every day since tomorrow as I said before. Omg I'm so excited 😁😁 PS I would love to be a figure skater, but not everything I'm able to learn myself alone unfortunately, but I'm still trying! My aim for now is to make one foot spin easier then now hihi and to learn how to do the pick jumps :)

    I’m 19 and wanting to start skating soon! It’s probably a good idea to get as flexible as I can before I start bc I’ve never really been flexible Day 1- Not anywhere near the splits but the stretching hurts (but in a good way?) My main concern is keeping my back straight and not hunching over when I stretch.

    Once again, I love your videos. Question related to a problem I have with this kind of exercise. I have a tendency to pull the adductor muscle in my right thigh. I'll be fine then "ping" sharp pain in that muscle which any significant use of the muscle will aggravate for at least a week or two. There's little warning before it happens. Any suggestions on prevention and what to do when it was happen?

  • @alanawolf1556

    @alanawolf1556

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi, I know this reply is late, but I’ve experienced something similar and find 5-10 minutes of foam rolling beforehand mitigates both the frequency and severity of that ping. Being adequately warmed up prior to any kind of stretching and being moderate once I’m actively engaged in it are also requisite. The extra time I spend preparing has gone a long way toward preventing surprise injuries from leaving me on the sidelines!

    Stretching, like skating, is one of those things that requires consistency, but, some moves are going to be easier to get than others. Everyone's body is different and so everyone will have different stretches that they can more naturally move into. Keep trying!

  • @ellagratzer9903

    @ellagratzer9903

    We talked about this in anatomy class and the hips are a ball and socket joint which theoretically could go any direction but because of the way that our femur is made it has an angle to it from top of the bone to the middle of the bone it hits the pelvis making motion limited so if your femur is closer to a 90 degree angle then you may not be able to do the full middle split.

    Couple questions: What is the honest likelihood of getting the splits when you're almost 40. What is an honest realistic goal and is there a way to know if the splits are not a realistic or safe possibility? While I would like to get my splits and more flexibility I don't want to risk injuring myself and getting discouraged over a goal that wasn't realistic to begin with, not trying to be a defeatist or anything.

  • @CoachJulia

    @CoachJulia

    It is absolutely possible to get your splits well after 40 even. It just takes consistency and patience. Don't try and get your splits quickly, give it time and consistent stretching so that you avoid injury.

  • @TheRindy84

    @TheRindy84

    @@CoachJulia Thank you for that. My biggest issue is the consistency part. Again, I wasn't trying to be a defeated or overly negative. I just don't know anything about any of this stuff.
