The Ultimate Dagobah Swamp Diorama | Resin Art
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I love the idea of swamps, dank, dismal and unknown creatures lurking just below the surface. It’s no surprise that I have wanted to model this Dagobah Swamp scene for years. I was first inspired by FichtenFoo’s Dagobah diorama (fichtenfoo.net/blog/tag/dagoba...)
This is a summary video of the Dagobah Swamp Build - not the livestreams but an under 20 minute summary. If you can’t be bothered to wade through countless hours of livestream then this is the video for you! If something a little longer is your thing then check out the full playlist: • Dagobah Swamp Livestream
STLs used:
Luke
I used this body because he has put his jacket on in the clip:
cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/s...
but I added this head in Blender: cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/l...
I mashed it all together and printed in once piece
Yoda
I have a slightly more detailed version of this:
www.thingiverse.com/thing:127...
I can’t find the one I downloaded but they’re all from the same original design.
X wing
www.thingiverse.com/thing:285...
I printed this file at 1/48 (133%) but did put the two wings together first in Blender and have not printed all the internal workings.

Indeed it is. What an absolutely superb creation. Truly amazing.
This was sick. You should do another one of these with Yoda’s hut and Luke’s camp or the cave with Darth Vader

“With acrylics… you’re stuffed” 😆😆 Terrific video - thanks Kathy!
Hello Kathy. Ah…… you waited for the appropriate date to drop this. Excellent. Although I had been along for the ride on this build, I was absolutely enthralled watching this. There was quite a lot that hadn’t been talked about before. It’s really a wonderful build. Totally dedicated to a iconic scene. Well done. Take care. See ya next time.

Thanks Norm. It was such fun to do.
Reference modelling. I watched some live streams but not all, however this shortened version is a joy to watch if you don’t have a couple of hours

There were 6 so a huge commitment! This is much easier.
This is like original Star Wars in the late 70ies and 80ies, when practical effects dominated!

Thanks. Much more fun to do it practically.
That turned out fantastic, I recommend eveyone to watch the live streams where there's an even more in depth building sequence, great work as always

As always - absolutely stunning! You not only create art, but you also create magic!!
Wow, that's amazing. It's one of my favorite scenes on Empire strikes back.
Say I must, fantastic that is. This was the 1st sci-fi film I ever saw at the cinema. It was new and everyone was raving about it at school. Dad took me to see it. Been hooked ever since! Well done Kathy on capturing the spirit of that scene!

I remember seeing that scene as a child of about 10 at the local drive in when it 1st came out, watching that build brought back fond memories of a place far far away, the 10 year old me is now in a 50 year old body but we both thank you.

That’s wonderful and it is a great scene!
Impressive your representation of the scene in Dagobah, a lot of inspiration, as yoda's phrase about Dagobah already says, “Great on this planet the Force is.” I tell him “Great is the talent in you.” Congratulations.

Great build Kathy 👍👍👍
Superb diorama Kathy, I wasn’t able to sit through all the live streams so thanks for putting this up, on the most appropriate day as well. You’ll need to set a gallery up so you can show off all these wonderful models.

Thanks Robin. 12 hours of livestream is a big commitment!
Thanks Kathy. Much more compact and informative than the live stream. Have watched both but prefer this format personally. Monique from Brisbane

Hi Monique. I like the shorter type but I know some people like the longer form and the opportunity to ask questions. At least if you know there will be a summary video coming at the end then you can skip the livestreams if they aren’t your thing.
Looks stunning, this certainly comes under a ‘do’ rather than a ‘try’ from Kathi Master

Hi Kathy, another stunning diorama, and doing it over 3 livestreams gives an insight into how long it takes to create such a diorama, although you have a knack of making it look effortless, anyway, looking forward to the next one, stay safe, all the best from Scotland, Stephen.

It was 6 livestreams so over 12 hours on it already and probably 6 weeks work. I think the under 20 minutes is easier to cope with.
