Halo Infinite Diorama with Ultra Realistic Scenery
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Perfect pines, a dusty road, beautiful mountains... what's not to love about the scenery in the Halo Infinite trailer from E3 in 2018?
I have been wanting to recreate this for ages and when I needed a step by step on pines for the book I am writing, this was my first thought. It's stunning scenery that is at home in the Pacific North West or Canada. It is in S-scale (1/64) which is a lovely model railroad scale if you haven't seen it - half way between HO and O.
I am still trying to work out what to do with my larger Warthogs so if you have any ideas, please let me know.

Really must do some more! They’re such fun.
This is incredible. As a huge fan of Halo and dioramas this is a dream come true
This is so perfect! With your mastery of snow and landscapes I would love to see your take on a Skyrim diorama!
Love your commentary style, and the fact that you are not afraid to show us when you start over or go back in to fix something!!
Great video and diorama, Kathy. Love the dust!
It's all so easy - when SOMEONE ELSE is doing all the work. Fine job. Amazing result. Thank you for doing all the work...
Now THIS is art
I'm here because of Lke Towan, so glad he recommended this channel!
I am completely shocked how much work and materials she used in building this genus diorama - its big and its bold, but its spot on
Your witty comments make this so much better!
I honestly thought the thumbnail was a game trailer scene. Nice job!
a model Halo ring that can light up and hang from the ceiling would be insane
This is such an astonishing work of art
This is one of my favorite dioramas that I've ever seen. Nicely done!
That's really good. Impressive . . Most Impressive.
That was beautiful, it's amazing to me the amount of detail you put into your works
Simply incredible work Kathy! Thanks for sharing this, it was great and I learned a lot too.
This has to have been one of my favourite dioramas I’ve seen of yours
I'm beyond glad this exists. I love Halo, and I love dioramas, so this was definitely a treat to watch. I love your work, keep it up!
From the front the vehicle and the dust cloud look even more convincing...I have used that stuff for cigarette smoke and it can look very real but you really nailed this!
Fantastic result, Kathy! Really loved the video and I was especially impressed with the air brushing of the static grass - the randomness and patches added that extra level of realism so well. Thank you.
Those trees are fantastic
What an IMPRESSIVE job 10/10
Super intrigued by your work! What a great find. That bigger Warthog and all the "world of halo" scale figs that can go with it are rife with options for miniature diorama work. Staying tuned until the next one!
Super sick!!! Growing up playing the games, one of my favorite things to do was to "stick" a vehicle with a plasma grenade and watch it explode and flip around. I would say do some sort of plasma explosion scene with the bigger warthogs. That would be really cool. But anyway awesome work!
Can't wait to appreciate those landscapes and play the damn campaing
The massive warthog could go really well as a Starry Night Trailer diorama
Hallo Kathy Millatt, was Sie machen finde ich super toll bin total begeistert wünsche Ihnen alles Gute und weiterhin so schöne Videos. Vielen Dank noch ein schönes Wochenende. Grüße Markus
Absolutely love your channel and this is a cracking video. Really like how you go into the individual details of tasks such as the sanding on the 3d print which is often glossed over by other KZreadrs. I also really like how you go through your process including the bits that don't work out initially. Keep up the great work.
This is amazing! It gives me a lot of nostalgia for the times I spend building scenery in forgeworld in Halo Reach
Very impressive diorama, those pine trees look quite real! I'm after that effect, maybe for a sasquatch diorama someday!
Awesome Kathy, great job! I love hearing your voice, so soothing!
You are absurdly talented. Just amazing work, as always
Massive congratulations on such a masterpiece. Bloody brilliant.
Just awesome work as always! Every video I pick up a trick or two I can use down the line. Thank you for sharing.
Another great Diorama Kathy keep your work coming
8:02 that looks like a photo from a mars rover. thats insane! great video
That was great! Your work on the ground is stellar! Very cool technique on the trees as well!
This is amazingly beautiful, carefully crafted! Love the work!
Oh. My. Goodness. That's AMAZING
Wow this was awesome to watch you build and it turn out beautifully. I'm glad this was a KZread recommendation. I love all the Halo game's they are my favorite game's of all time.
Really incredible diorama! The trees and rocks are amazing! I love it!
i am so proud, i have no patience as yours, but i am so proud. i love the trial and error process, and furthermore i love the result
Fantastic Diorama I love the trees and building the most!!

Absolutely brilliant! Fantastic job !
This is some genius model n’ diorama making!! Great work!!!
This is absolutely fantastic, love it!
The amount of dedication and attention to detail is astonishing. This puts us other Halo Fans to shame with the amount of time you put into this
Beautiful work, Kathy.
We do not only learn from our own mistakes, but also from others. Thank you for showing yours, specially how you solved them. Great video! /Henrik
Great stuff, I love the way you show you reworking parts you aren't happy with.
These trees are superb Kathy, simple technique too.👍👌😁
I would love to see you put your skills to an indoor scene with that warthog. It would be cool to compare which of your techniques to use in a different sci-fi setting
Amazing work, it looks stunning!
Great diorama
Wow this looks amazing, that grass I wanna lay down in it and enjoy the view,....
You've developed a beautiful diorama!
I found this in my recommended, excellent work!
Well done, fantastic diorama!
This is excellent Kathy, I picked up some tips along the way! really enjoyed this!
Really nice diorama kathy, I really like the dust effect, as I want to create this on a 1/24 Scale rally diorama. So thank you so much for the helpful advice.
this is really amazing. I wish I had the time and resources to continue model building. Thanks for the video!
Wow that looks amazing I’ll have to have a go at making some of those trees great video as usual 😀👍🏻
This is amazing! This seems like it took a looong time. Good work.
This is cooler than anything I will ever do in my life. Thank you for sharing!
Just brilliant!
So cool! One of my favorite dioramas.
Beautiful (Gordon Ramsays Voice)
This is an AMAZING BUILD, I love the Rocks! I have been working on one myself, "Not for Halo" just a Diorama For Gamer's 28 mm or around that. These Things Look SO REAL when ya get em Done! I LOVE this one VERY VERY INSPIRING!! THANKS! Perfect timing!!!
Gorgeous. I really admire your work. Congratulations

Mind blowingly brilliant!
Was recommended your channel by Luke towan and the first video of yours I see is a diorama from my favourite videogame series, so I knew I had to watch. Awesome video!
Thats an amazing diorama
This looks amazing!!
Excelente trabajo, justamente me encontraba buscando dioramas sobre Halo, pero no encontré. Y apenas ayer me apareció recomendado este vídeo, en definitiva es lo mejor. ❤️
Great work, fantastic! Love Halo as well.
Came here from reddit. No clue about diorama making before hand haha but I'm a massive halo fan from when I was a teen. This process and result is amazing. I learnt so much! Beautiful work!
Another creative and wonderful work, I do like the ground and the dust...Inspired!! 😍😍👍
Yes yes yes, this is what I was looking for! Instant subscribe, halo and diorama's is a great combo
beautiful work.
Wow! So beautiful! So much talent! Thanks for sharing! Amazing, thanks for the tutorial.I learned a lot! keep the great work!
very beautiful work with nice explanation.
Wow just wow.... as a fan of halo from the start this is fantastic....
My jaw was dropped right from the start of the video! INCREDIBLE!!
Umbers are great for undercoats on this link of work. You can not expect 100% coverage of any turf or grasses, and even if you are going to paint over on the ocks etc, that undercoat makes a difference.
Lovely diorama . Well done . Always nice to experiment new things !
Wow this is freaking amazing, you're very talented. I wish I could do the same with my diorama. Bravo
Those pine trees are great. I'm about to do a Canadian mountain scene, snow-covered river and old barn, and this vid has solved the tree issue for me. Great job.

Hey, thanks for the "Love" response - wasn't expecting that!!!! Very surprised and delighted to see your name come up in my email inbox!! I'm Australian, and love your vids for learning a huge variety of techniques, and love my countryman Luke Towan's vids for his brilliant Australian landscapes. I appreciate your understated honesty and how you fix your mistakes - something I have needed to learn a lot of. I like Luke's work for its Australian reality, - our trees , rocks, grasses, shrubs, soil and landscapes are so different to Europe/North America and he has nailed how to do them. Most of the grasses, ground covers, leaves etc from people like Woodland Scenics and Noch are not right for Australian landscapes - way too green. We're not England's "Green and pleasant land", we're a "Sunburnt Country, a land of sweeping plains, droughts and flooding rains." Keep up the good work Kathy.
