is there a setting to flatten an area only? Like making a mountain and just flatten the top or parts of it without changing the height limit.

Hey, I'm a beginner and I'm learning from you! But while I was designing the terrain my cursor stopped letting me zoom or move my camera after sometime. I can't find anywhere to fix this problem. It's giving me a warning and error in the console section and the warning says "Null reference exception: object reference not set to an instant of an object"... It again starts working after sometime, how can I fix this? Please help me out

I dont have the option to pick terrain toolbox. Is it a new thing and its just renaimed or did I mess up somehow? If someone knows the answer I could really use the help.

new project 2022.3, but on play, a massive ish 16 tile terrain per terrain system tools, player walks and terrain fades IN with highest peaks zero visibility, and im not using fog. What would cause this and how do I force all terrain to be visible on play ? My computer can handle it.

1:23 when i download it i got red warning in console 'shader error'

You did not say enything about that warning in console,i m getting it and error to ? What is all about that? How to fix it-in inspector then when i select terrain al got bloory an messy... can you help? No one saying abot that..help please

you need to install universal RP from the package manager and than right click packages on the project window and select reimport all, that will solve the problem...

how come when i use brush its triangles

There is no terrain tools tab in the package manager in unity 2019.4.31f

I hate dealing with "terrian" tools. Especially when trying to add textures.

Hi there. Just started learning about terrain from this vid and have a question about external assets for terrain (i.e. trees, grass, etc). Is using image files recommended for terrains in Unity? Or actual models (renders)? I've probably answered this from my experience but if you have the knowledge from what Unity recommends off the top of your head, I'm picking it! Lol. I added a grass jpg file for a project and it looks awful! Thanks! =).

I didn't see Enable Preview Packages tho.

The very first bit is out of date and none of this is possible

waste of time he doesnot show how to low terrain down side like holes etc

this tutorial is out of date, DONT use it.

@@shido7068 i used it recently on unity 2020 version , maybe you have a too old version
