If I was a manager of a fighter, and I saw that my fighter was not up to standard with the opposition, I would go out of my way to ensure that my fighter has the advantage. I would pay out of my pocket to facilitate this, while also saying “you owe me.” for it. Keeps my fighter improving, keeps my fighter quiet, keeps making me more money in the long run. That’s why a lot of these fighters “get screwed” by their managers these days. It’s not far fetched to believe that whoever manages his mma team probably slips him specific drugs from his plug, and the manager is paying out of pocket and using that as leverage to keep the fighters silent on it.

The thing is not necessarily, that fighters would not take PEDs, more that it would not level the playing field. You can either go to your local gym dealer for couple hundred or spend thousands on a designer. It would be better, without the steroids

The lack of transparency with Usada towards the end of their time was definitely an issue, but it only has gotten worse. I will say tho that it seemed like USADA outsourced to other firms for international fighters, so I’m not sure if this means anything for them
