For your next lost characters video, you should mention either rankles or nazo Rankles is an official sonic character that was made by sega as a joke for a video game magazine, and Nazo is a scrapped sonic evolution (like his super form or his hyper form as an example) that appeared in the sonic x pilot, but never made it to the anime, but later appeared in a fan animation as his own character It would be really cool to see you talk about them

DHMIS spoiler warning I think the DHMIS crew kinda despise the pilot. There's a character in the pilot that is brought back in the show as a one of Yellow Guy's brain friends before he unalives himself because of Warren's podcast. The Transportation episode has Red Guy selecting Clay Hill as the location he wants to go to and the GPS replies saying that place doesn't exist anymore. Why do they have such an apparent resentment to the pilot? While on the subject of lost DHMIS characters, whatever happened to the Money Man from the Kickstarter videos?

i don’t remember the source, but the creators hate the pilot because the company overseeing production wanted them to get political and generally take things in a completely different direction from what the creators actually wanted

@@ratrat9241 I have watched a few clips that have been released on the internet. Honestly the lost pilot feels more in line with South Park or Family Guy. It’s not necessarily bad and there are still some good jokes, but it just does not feel like DHMIS; especially in comparison to the TV show.

I can understand the DHMIS team not wanting the pilot released to the general public, but at the same time it's a shame- from the small bits we get to see of it, it looks really good! I liked Tobia’s sister. She might of been horrible to Gumball and his friends but you can tell that she was dealing with her own insecurities. She was cool plus her attraction to Darwin was really cute

Side notes: Bendy: In addition to apologies from the writers (Lauren Faust and Craig McCracken), the episode has officially been declared non-canon to the series. Mayor McCheese: This marked one of the few times that McDonald's was successfully sued. The resemblances between McDonaldland and The Living Island of _H.R.Pufnstuf_ were just too great to ignore.

Imagine if the bendy episode was canon

Being a forgotten character in a well know show/ video game is hard. Being a forgotten character from a forgotten franchise is harder. Also I remember how they saved the dino character from the void and I don't think she was seen again after that. So I'm assuming she's back in the void. Also I read somewhere that Rachel Wilson actually got into a different school or college. So at least she's not in the void...

“Darkel” was a scrapped character in Grand Theft Auto 3. He originally would give missions to Claude, the main protagonist. He was a psychopathic homeless man. In the files, he was discovered to have missions planned for the player based on the fact that his model would decrease in quality from far away. He even had an actor listed in the game’s credits. So why was Darkel scrapped? Well, he was originally shrouded in mystery and had many rumors surrounding him, that you’re gonna have to find out yourself, but also, GTA 3 was released one month after 9/11 and the biggest rumor that there was a bunch of content from the game that was cut, Darkel being part of it. Rockstar had an interview during the 10th year anniversary confirming did indeed have missions, but was cut because his psychopathic tendencies would have you harm innocent civilians, which the game punishes you for with the star system. However, many missions involve capping corrupt people and gang members. He’s a very interesting character, I hope you check him out!

Alright, so everyone is saying how Rachel just went off to college. But I’m here to talk about why it’s a red herring! She was sent to the Void. A short released after the show said she just moved away to go to college but I’m certain that was a false memory planted into the minds of the Wilson family so they wouldn’t think about why Rachel is gone. How do I know this? Simple. In the episode “The Void” it’s shown that any photos with people who’ve been erased simply remove them from the photo. And in the episode “The Upload” a picture of the Wilson family is shown and the wall, and Rachel isn’t there. Why would Rachel be erased from her family photos if she simply went to college? Also, in “the Void”, Mr. Small says the saying “gone the way of the dodo” despite Dodos already being in the Void. He’d only know this saying if Dodos weren’t erased from everyone’s memory, thus proving that those who’ve been sent to the Void might not be erased from everyone’s memory. And that is why I am certain Rachel going to college was a red herring made to throw us all off. (Also Rachel was deadass one of my favorite characters in the show so I’m very sad at her removal).

Here's how I want the key character to be introduced and don't hug me I'm scared The episode is about security the characters come home after a picnic to find their house has been broken into and while they are arguing about who was the last to lock the door the key appears and breaks into song

@@weathermansam2 The other characters makes sense, since they were only in one version of the show. But Ichabeezer was meant to be a direct replacement of Mr. Nezzer before being dropped and Mr. Nezzer returning anyway. So he feels more noteworthy

There could be an episode about lost South Park characters! Such like Pip (i know pip died but he was actually lost in the show for some time and appeared suddenly to die) Estella, Pocket, Gary, Mark and Rebecca, Thomas and Gregory & Christophe from the 1999 south park movie.

I run a Foster’s Home website and the absolute chaos Bendy brought to our community back in the day cannot be described, lol

i remember the Bendy episode was written by Lauren Faust, you know, the lady responsible of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, the cultural hit. She actually talked about the Bendy episode in an interview (i wish i could find it), she basically called Bendy in particular her biggest mistake on her career. Geesh.

Ah.. Rachael from Gumball.. I didn’t actually notice her absence. Imagine if Tobias went to the void and found his sister. Still better than Bendy. Also Bendy… I’d imagine he’d work better if afterwards, he became the Meg Griffin of the show. That or his episode had him either be caught at the end or the episode’s plot has Bendy not intentionally frame the gang and he’s trying to prove their innocence until the end where he breaks things in front of Frankie and Mr. Herriman. I read this one theory on TV Tropes that Cleveland’s divorce with Loretta had an effect on Cleveland Jr. emotionally. Okay imagine a reality where the Cleveland show was a kid friendly spin-off to Family Guy. Was not expecting Dissy to be given a larger role in the Kirby manga. I do think the pilot would be a fun bonus in a home media release of the DHMIS tv show like have a disclaimer saying that it’s different from the show.

Actually, recently with the adult happy meals, there was a shirt and on the shirt was Mayor McCheese which means he is still in some McDonald's merchandise.

Okay, bringing up Bendy. I also remember him and hated him because I was always that kid who felt wrongfully punished, but sadly I’d overreact and throw the first hit. I was easy to mess with. Anyways, Rebeltaxi went into more detail on him in his “5 CARTOONISTS who HATED their work” video. Apparently, Lauren Faust has a lot of regrets in her career, one of them being Bendy. She admits it was a bad episode, but probably would have worked better if it was only Blue the one being punished instead of Blue plus everyone else. It would make the most sense considering how much of a trouble maker Blue is himself. In that sense it probably would have been a favorite episode for people to see Bendy get his comeuppance.

Technically they are in Star Allies. Gooey and the animal Trio (Rick, Kine, and Coo) appear as playable characters, while Chuchu, Mago, and Pitch ended up as moves in Kirby's broom ability.

I have a lost character mandark's sister, Lalavava. She only appeared in one episode of dexter's lab and did not return when the show was brought back in 2001 And no one on mandark or dexter's family acknowledges her existence or disappearance after her debut episode

3:40 Little mistake there. What you've cited was from an interview regarding Sakurai's development of Marx in smash Ultimate. In that iteration, the boss did moves that would certainly cross the line of what Kirby usually would show. Marx Soul is relatively tame compared to Ultimate Marx Sakurai was not involved at all with Super Star Ultra (Where Marx Soul originates from). Rather it could be Shinya Kumazaki who helped create the nonsense of that soul fight. In fact, all of the mainline (post-air ride) Kirby games has been directed by him, and thanks to his interest in horror, that's why the final bosses get so freaky often

While you were talking about Dizzy, I remembered another character from the Kirby series that's been absent for a weirdly long time: Poppy Bros. Sr. He's this elf-looking guy who slides around and throws bombs to attack Kirby. He's the first midboss you ever fight in the series, and his enemy counterpart Poppy Bros. Jr is still a staple part of the series to this day. But for some reason, they haven't used Poppy Sr. ever since Super Star Ultra in 2008.

Cartmen’s dad and sister: In the pilot episode for South Park they show a scene in the kitchen where his mom is with his dad and his sister and after that they never show them again. So where did they go? Well the pilot was 28 minutes but Comedy Central needed it to be 22 minutes so they cut out some of the episode including the scene with Cartmen’s dad and sister. After that they made a couple episodes about who Cartmen’s real dad is yet they mention him or sister at all.

I really want to hear the key song in high quality. Based alone off the clips it sounds like a banger.

The DHMIS series we got was great and definitely was nostalgic, but the original concept would have been amazing.

Kirby and other games on the NES could be finished really fast because the NES could only fit not so much GB, which is why Mario games now can take 900 hours.

Missing Sanrio/Hello Kitty Characters: Catnip, Fangora, and Grinder. I commented about this before but it shouldn't hurt to try again. If you're familiar with Sanrio/Hello Kitty, then you know most of the characters. However there was an animated series called Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theatre, where Hello Kitty (along with her mom and dad) and her friends would play roles and do their own take on famous fairy tales or movies. But there were 3 antagonistic characters in the show, those 3 characters being Catnip, Fangora, and finally Grinder (however he's more friendly than Catnip and Fangora if my memory is correct). These 3 are usually the antagonists towards Hello Kitty and her friends, and usually play the villain roles. Catnip seem like she was gonna be Hello Kitty's rival (similar to My Melody and Kuromi). However, these 3 never appeared outside of the Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theatre show and it seemed like Hello Kitty getting an rival isn't coming back anytime soon since the show aired on 1987 (and ended on the same year as well but i could be wrong about that). Which makes me wonder, what would've happened if they kept Catnip as Hello Kitty's rival/enemy.

@@zeepsterd Thank you, well I may have gotten some info wrong (my apologizes if i did), the only reason I knew about the characters is because I used to own the DVDs of Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theatre when I was an kid and years later I learned that it aired on TV. I guess an worth mention is that Fangora doesn't even appear in the final episode of Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theatre (meanwhile Catnip and Grinder did). Season 2 was planned, but due to low ratings the show ended up cancelled. Which sadly, means the last time we actually see Catnip, Fangora, and Grinder from Sanrio/Hello Kitty. Can't wait to see you talking about them soon.

When it comes to Moden Family Guy I have a theory, after canceling it twice Fox refuse to cancel it a 3rd despite Seth McFarland being creatively done with the characters. Unable to stop the show and u willing to let someone take over Seth decided to see just how far he could push the boudries of good taste. As a result the show focuses now on shock humor and being offensive. All the characters becoming mean spirited and spiteful.

I have a character for the next part: Alien Spell from Ultraseven For context, Ultraseven is the third show in the long-running Ultra series, a Japanese sci-fi Tokusatsu series known for its size-changing heroes called "Ultras" who defend the galaxy, and mostly Earth, from giant monsters and aliens. Most Kaiju and Aliens that appear in the series tend to reappear later or are at least referenced, all except Alien Spell. Alien Spell's one and only appearance is in episode 12 of Ultraseven, known as "Yūsei yori ai wo komete" or "From Another Planet with Love" that aired 17th December 1967. The Ultraman Wiki summarises the plot as the following "A number of young ladies have fallen ill and all seem to be wearing peculiar looking metallic watches. An all male group of space vampires from the planet Spehlia (like Spee-lia) are on Earth seeking the blood of young girls. They use these watches as a means of draining the blood from their victims in a bid to save their race after some unspecified space war. After a small boy puts on his sisters watch, the blood encapsulated within turns out to be of even better interest to the aliens. Turning their attention towards children, the otherworldly bloodsuckers devise methods to entice kids into their grasp." Now, it seems like any one of the strange episodes seen early in the Ultra series, but nothing that could be seen as offensive. That is until Alien Spell itself appears. [ static.wikia.nocookie.net/ultra/images/a/af/Alien_Spell_Render.png/revision/latest?cb=20190412122333 ] Now, to us westerners in the modern day, this creature doesn't look like it would offend anyone, hell it just looks plain silly. However, it's scar patterns were based off of scars on Hibakusha, people who survived the atomic bombings. Back in the 40s onwards, Hibakusha where subject to terrible discrimination in Japan, and so this Alien seemed to be made in poor taste. Tsuburaya Productions have pulled this episode from viewing ever since, although it made its way into being dubbed into English by TNT. Apart from early merchandise, Alien Spell has never been included as part of the Ultra series ever since.

Boco and Duke are 2 examples of characters which suffered the Chuck Cunningham Syndrome, throughout Thomas The Tank Engine, Boco would make his appearance in season 2, past season 2 Boco would just remain in the background, sometimes having a minor speaking role until season 5 when he'd make his last appearance, a similar case with Duke also occurred as he'd star in a couple of episodes in Season 4 before fading into the background and finally disappearing around Season 7, throughout the run of the series neither would be acknowledged, although they'd (Boco more often than not) be popular in the fandom, but the show acts like they never existed.

For Rachal we are quite literally told what happened to her in one episode Tobias said that she went to college.

With the Foster’s episode it never really bothered me in terms of the character not showing up. There were a lot of episodes where some characters were just one offs. Also, I believe u and I are the same age based on ur timeline of events on these shows. It’s so funny cause I felt the same way about Gumball at first. It actually kinda got to a point where I just didn’t watch it. The episode that kinda made me start watching it was when they were advertising the episode when Gumball was dreaming about losing penny. That’s when the show was starting to shift from its season 1 and 2 tone to what it became in later seasons

Bendy also had one more appearance in the finale “goodbye to bloo” where you can see his name on the going away card and I think, make a brief physical appearance? but… idk 🤷‍♂️

It just made sense to me that Cleveland Jr's drastic change was due to his mother's death.

As a suggestion for missing characters, there's various Rayman major characters that where missing, Ly the Fairy is an example, Clark the Giant, Joe the extraterrestrial and Sssssam the river snake (possibly dead)

A bit of info about Dizzy in the manga! The Kirby manga in question was originally released in Japan and France only, as "Kirby of the Stars: The Story of Dedede who Lives in Pupupu" and "The Adventures of Kirby in the Stars" respectively. It only saw an english release in 2018 under the name "Kirby Manga Mania." The Dizzy in the manga is named Chibi (Chibby in the French version). Chibi was actually (a?) Dizzy, who worked under King Dedede, and the hat he wore changed his personality. In chapter 7 of volume 2, Chibi's hat is blown away by the wind and Dedede eats it (wth), making him become hostile towards Kirby. Kirby wants to take the hat back, but Rick (the hamster from KDL2) tells him to give up on Chibi because he was an enemy, and that he will replace him. Information about Kirby print works is scarce due to them almost never getting localized in English-speaking countries. Thank you for introducing me to this little guy!

If you ever decide to do another, got a triple whammy: Mechani-Kong, Toho’s versions of King Kong and Frankenstein. Both Kongs we’re going to appear in future projects, like King Kong being in an early draft of Destroy All Monsters and potential remakes of King Kong vs Godzilla, and tossed around for Godzilla Final Wars and the PS4 game as ideas. And Mechani-Kong supposed to fight Godzilla himself in the Heisei films, but both got cut for copyright reasons. Frankenstein might also stopped making appearances for copyright reasons as well, but he has never made an appearance in anything outside of his film, aside from a couple illustrations and books talking about Toho’s monsters

Neat detail about Rachel: she actually gets mentioned by Tobias in the infamous Darwin's Yearbook short, where Darwin asks him about Rachel. "Oh, she's gone." "Gone?" "Yeah, gone to college, obviously!"

So a character that seems to be lost to time, is in The Legend of Zelda, but the Satellaview game Ancient Stone Tablets for the SNES. You ran into him in every segment of the broadcast and he was called Mole, but nobody talks about Mole, nobody even knows about Mole, but when I played a ROM of this game, Mole was like a character that's never seen in any other Zelda games, not even A Link To The Past that the game is based off of. Just an interesting character lost to time.

Also: Kirby's entire race. In game 1 DeeDee steals all the food from Kirby's race, who all -suck- are lame as only Kirby is man enough to beat DeeDee. An entire race, genocided by a single retcon. Also Ronald as he was retired after the clown scare era.

I don’t know anything about it, but I’ve always wanted to see the explanation of the thing that looks like a toaster from veggietales you showed in I believe the first episode in the slideshow of lost characters.

Rachel is actually acknowledged in a special called Darwin’s yearbook or whatever when the show ended. In that special, she is just stated to have gone to college.

Good episode. I have a correction though. Rachel "went to college" acorrding to one short in the miniseries "darwins yearbook".

I kinda hope that Mayor McCheese will make a comeback when the current holders of Puffinstuff will allow him to come back with a new redesign that doesn't look so obviously knock-offish.

A suggestion: Majesty from the My Little Pony comics. She never appeared in the animated series... Which is strange, considering she appeared in almost every single comic issue. She canonically founded Ponyland, became the queen, and was known to be the most powerful unicorn in the world. In the series, there's a noticable void in her absence.

There are also lost Thomas the tank engine characters, like Derek, Molly, hank, billy, (ETC).

What About Geno. Geno was a character in the super Mario series and starred in the game super Mario RPG after a while he was never from heard from again and has been forgotten for so many years.

Oh here's a suggestion but I don't know if it's that interesting. In Ben 10 there's a lot of dropped plots an with it dropped characters, like, there was this dude named steel who appeared on the second season of the show, he was a government commander who at the end of the episode became an ally and told ben that they may encounter again, that didn't happened for a while, an illusion of him appeared on the fourth season but I don't think that counts, his next appearance would be a cameo on the fifth season of the fourth series, 6 years after his first appearance. There are more ben 10 characters that just disappear, some don't even come back, like tetrax, gluto, the limax and more.

Winx Club has more than a few characters that just vanish partway through the series. One of them, Mirta, has a fairly prominent role in Season 1 (she's the only student character that season that wasn't a villain, Winx, or one of the confirmed love interests at the time who is named and involved in the story for multiple episodes), but her role is diminished each successive season afterwards; she's a dialogue-less background character in Season 5, and never appears again from Season 6 onwards. It's never explained, and feels off when multiple other students that debuted in Season 1 still appear in Season 7.

As long as Mayor McCheese is in our hearts he will never be lost!

one piece of lost media i want to learn more about is a video game called dungeon link, since the sequel to the game (guardian tales) exists and is an amazing rpg, but because dungeon link is lost so is a good amount of the story which saddens me quite a bit

@@possiblyivy726 porygon is one of the first generation pokemon. While he appears in the games he's only appears in one episode. It was an episode of ash and his friends being in cyberspace to stop team rocket with porygon being the star pokemon for that episode, near the end missiles were targeted at the characters and pikachu use its thunder attack to explode the missiles. The missiles explosion cause a seizure for its fast lightning effect and it cause alot of kids to be sent to the hospital due to the intense lighting. The episode was banned and the pokemon company put the blame on porygon even tho pikachu was the one who explode the missiles. Due to the incident porygon was banned from appearing again in the anime and all of its evolution were also banned too. Although porygon had appears in a few small appearance in the anime like in one of the movie opening and being a cell phone in the anime

Once again you proved it for me, its in most, if not all the games since then. Cant be a lost character if its only lost in 1 specific thing, so your entire speech was pointless, so good job!

Fun fact in episode 5 of the dhmis TV show when the guys are in the transport machine trying to go to a new place red guy taps the GPS to find a random place to go to but when he does that he clicks on clayhill witch the GPS tells him that that place no longer exists

There’s a little-known anime series called Black Rock Shooter, and it was going to have a videogame called Black Rock Shooter: Arcana. The game was sadly cancelled, and If they still exist, I have never found any footage or trailers for Arcana. Characters who were introduced in the game never saw the light of day again. The few characters we know were planned for Arcana were: - Elder Caster - Farside Bunny - Loveness - Tightmare Elly However, due to the game’s cancellation, there might have been other characters planned for the game who unlike these four, are completely lost to history.

The void theory is interesting because two characters canonically were send there for being too boring, in the first episode with the void the go inside to rescue one of them while completely forgetting about the other one, the other character, rob, later escapes the void and becomes gumball nemesis, by the end of the series the character realized that the show was ending and that void was gonna consume all the world in the finale, so he tries to turn the show into live action to stop it.
