I love this channel… But that Aventi might be the ugliest watch I have seen in a long time 😂 That’s a lot coming from me because I’m NOT a classy guy lol. I have an RM 29 and a Buss Down AP (I told you I’m not “classy” lol) So when a guy like me is saying that Aventi is gross, you know it’s trash 😂

Christian, I've been a long time subscriber but this was the first time i was really disappointed with the video in a big way. An ad during the video is fine but if the whole point of the video is basically the ad, it should clearly say so. This video very much felt like a bait and switch.

While I've got zero issues with there being partnerships/sponsorships/ads/etc in videos, it feels so nasty when that isn't disclosed anywhere in the video or the description. It feels disingenuous when this video starts by talking about RM, and then there's an obviously-sponsored Aventi ad for multiple minutes. The tone of the video is as if they were just a brand that popped into your mind while talking about RM, but it's clear as day that money from Aventi changed hands, and then you had to reverse engineer a way to shoehorn them into a video. And all without disclosing it. It just feels like we're being called dumb. I remember watching those Masterworks ads, and the way you guys would "organically" transition into, "y'know, it's actually kinda like the world of art and paintings where..." And it was just so transparent and fake. I've got zero issues with ads or sponsored segments because they're at least honest. But you're not disclosing that these are ads. Just like you didn't disclose that those VAER mentions were ads, either. I can handle an ad. But I'm kinda in disbelief that we're being treated as if we're too stupid to know the difference between an opinion and an advertisement.

  • @hotsung

I think we need to accept that the channel is dying, it was already a niche channel, however since Michael left they cant make these long good quality videos. Love RM 67 01 & 02 because of its style, thickness and lightness. Any brand does something similar with affordable prices I'd buy but there are none atm. I don't see a point on spending much money on brand names like PP and Rolex, I'd buy their watches without their logos if they look good and perform well. I wear Muji stuff that has no brand but quality. Same goes to anything in life.

Surprising, ehh not sure. Ok granted at the price it’s surprising that so many people have signed on (and some multiple times). But, they have a unique design; they use non-traditional and exciting materials; they only collaborate with individuals at the highest peak of their respective disciplines ; they play to the sporty and younger side of the watch loving world; they have created an atmosphere of hard to get and special to see in the wild. I don’t see why that wouldn’t stick…except for the high prices (and continuous price increases) and some of the ‘douche’ people that seem to be flexing them as a ‘look how much money I have’ rather than ‘look how cool this unique timepiece is’

I hate both Richard Mille and Aventi equally. The difference is Nadal wears Richard Mille which made people think it’s an attractive watch, and all the plasticky feeling and texture of it became innovation and high end tech. To me Richard Mille will never have the class it needs to have to be a gentleman’s watch. It is still as thick as a door knob.
