It was an honor to be invited by “Wrist Enthusiast” to his podcast where we review the fascinating watches in our collection, from my dual-time zone preferences to Wrist Enthusiast's latest Fleming Series One. The evolution of watch appreciation, watches and wonders 2024, the significance of skeletonized dials, and even the story behind “me associated with the red straps”. By the way, I used to consider myself one of the biggest watch collectors in the world but recently my friends from “Abu Dhabi” have humbled me with their insane collection.

Kevin really showing his cred in two ways I've never seen. Number one is his opinion that you should never be allowed to buy a watch if a manufacturer trusts you with a unique piece and you flip it and Number two he knows who Simon Brette is AND owns a watch from him. Insane.

Kevin & Teddy are the two guys that got me hooked 🤔 at 63 years old I'm now a watch guy 😎 and I never knew how much I could learn from them 😮 and now my son has become a watch guy where we are building a collection together 😊 and at almost 67 with a son who's 16 the memories we're making are priceless and timeless 😎

Factory gem settings, solid gold & platinum cases 💯 in house…I recently bought a 1940’s Brock w/ a rare black dial, solid 14k case, 18k applied numerals, enameled sterling silver dial for less than a new gold plated Boulton… albeit the strap wears like a crash at 16mm

You are 100% right, of course. However, you can still imagine an entry level for the higher tier of "luxury" or "big boy" watches or whatever you want to call it. I think a 5k watch fits that bill; it's at a level where the buyer is very serious but nowhere near what's possible at the top or even middle of the hobby.

I believe there is at least one custom-made, special for him Patek Philippe. Do you think he'll be blackballed from Patek Philippe? (Could you give an opinion, I'd love to hear it). The video is on KZread. It's called... Sylvester Stallone on why he's selling Patek Philippe Grandmaster chime & more. Sotheby's PS..... I love watching your videos on watches. I love watches too but I'm limited to watches under $1,000 cdn. Cheers

I have conflicting opinions about Kevin's passion for watches. He considers himself a collector, yet insists on acquiring only 'piece uniques,' while also owning hundreds of watches from the standard catalog. His wealth drives a "pay-to-win" approach where he buys whatever he wants without genuinely hunting for special pieces. A collector should find pleasure in the pursuit, not just in acquiring everything money can buy. Is purchasing one watch per week a sign of genuine enthusiasm or an attempt to convince himself of his passion? Interestingly, he never discusses vintage watches, even though the vintage landscape offers a better selection for true collecting with its rarity, quality, and distinctiveness. It's like someone claiming to be an art connoisseur but indiscriminately filling their collection with prints instead of curating distinctive pieces that reflect their taste and expertise. A true collector should appreciate a well-made, inexpensive watch just as much as a unique, high-end piece.

@@RolandKoller90uh, why are you getting active, its my opinion, and no im not slow I just dont watch all his videos, unlike yourself. To answer your/kevins take: Yes, a collector is a collector, but collecting without discernment is like eating at a gourmet restaurant and only ordering plain toast. Sure, you're eating, but are you really experiencing what the chef has to offer? Just as a food lover seeks out flavors and experiences, a collector hunts for pieces that aren't just expensive, but have history, rarity, or personal significance.
