On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

I was watching some video about the loss of an A-50 and they said the replacement cost on one is more than $300m USD and something like 5 years to build if you start from scratch. I'm guessing there are IL-76s they could repurpose to cut the construction time somewhat but damn that's a huge loss.

@@brandonholmes8485 yes they do have radar. When the AWACS is lost, the fighter radar is much smaller and limited. He was flying low. The fly's high. @@brandonholmes8485 Yes. It's not as powerful as AWACS. When you go active with your own radar, you also may give up your position. So much jamming going on you might have to turn it up to 11 to see and lock-up. Goes against stealth concepts. That's my understanding.

just thinking about the rwr. how do you think it would go if they made it 3d sound with a varying sound depending on where the missle is and whether it is getting closer or further away (beeps get quicker or slower). would it make it too complicated (too much input for the pilot) or would it help with situational awareness having that audio input

Compared to the creators of flight simulation videos, you manage to maintain a successful editing pattern, which gives me the viewer to return every time to a movie in the "James Bond" or "Mission Impossible" series. The more you introduce combat training such as escorting bombers, using guided bombs, evading techniques from air-to-air missiles, next to the ground bombing not necessarily of you but of colleagues in the flight wing, I, the viewer, get an illustration of how professional a pilot is required to be, and that experience plays a decisive role The mission and survival. Interesting channel. 🧐
