Scenario: a remake, modern or historical, of a WW2 Yamamoto style assassination mission by air.

I loved the call to arms for the server. If my PC could actually handle DCS, I'd be there.

🤣 Oh no. Not again. Ballistic missile, Ballistic missile, get in the air, get in the air, get in the air........Tornadoes? I just saw Tornadoes on the runway. 😳

We need more channels like Longshot and GS. I will never get over DCS content, especially when the person flying actually knows what they're talking about.

Some random ai patrols could be a good touch too!

oh so those missiles are the things i see bugging out at 10 billion meters on my Su-27s TWS

I know what you mean about the beginning... I've played since the Flanker 2.0 days and love DCS, but it's all of the ops stuff that makes a BMS campaign so immersive despite all the graphical shortcomings. There's 0 effort required in this regard, unlike DCS. The future is looking bright for both; DCS will be dynamic someday, and BMS is getting a new terrain engine. We're in the golden years of simming again.

I love it! USAF guy here. The only problem with it is that the USAF is pretty ridged in its doctrine of not having too many different aircraft at a site at one time. There were problems in the past with mixing platforms that caused confusion in not just pilots, but also ATC that lead to causalities and loss of aircraft. Air force bases used to have numerous different types of aircraft stationed at one base, now it's pretty rare. There are simply too many peripherals being mixed in to make flight operations safe that now you'll see an F-16 base, or a C-17 base. You'll see B-1B at one base and B-52s at a completely different one. They don't even really mix F-15 and F-22. It's even the same (for the most part) in combat zones.

The server is looking great, missions look fun. What keeps me off is not confident I have enough time in the seat to be able to complete the missions. Keep up the great work, the channel is amazing!

Just flew your server in VR the other day with this type of challenging weather. Got to engage some air raids that came to attack. I'm liking this server. Just one suggestion...maybe cut back on some of the smoke or amount of AI shooting each other. Went to ground pound in my F-16 near Nalchik and it became a slide show and wasn't able to drop bombs.

Here is something to think about....Grandpa BUFF has been around longer and out lasted the Band named after him!

Your comment makes me wonder if the BUFF flight crews changed their brevity code for a successful hit on a ground target from “Shack!” to “Love Shack…Baby Love Shack!!!” after the song came out. 🤔🤣😉

It was fun doing this mission especially being in the clouds while being around the Caucasus maintains( I'm not afraid of the ground 😂)

I love this intrusion missions way more than the dogfights. It makes for a great story.

Ballistic missiles could carry hypersonic sub munitions that could individually lock unto and attack enemy aircraft in the air or on the ground during attacks on air bases. The main warhead will destroy bunkers and fuel depots at the base.

Long shot, awesome!, could you cut and show the hits as well, just a thought, love the mission!

Sometimes older is better. Just sometimes. F-16's persists...even after 50 years. I don't get it. But there it is.

Am I to understand that the f16 is not very fuel efficient ? I hope they are able to develop it in that regard, imagine the potential of already potent and successful platform if they could develop a long huel version.

The Viper just doesn't CARRY much fuel. It's a small plane, it doesn't have room for a lot of internal fuel. And external tanks are heavy and impose a fair amount of extra drag, so there's a performance penalty. Bacon, I believe the Huel product is a meal-replacement drink, and I think it's supposed to stand for Human Fuel.

The F-16I, F-16E and the F-16V come with conformal fuel tanks to increase its range. The F-16V also has a new engine so that also helps with fuel efficiency.

Hey longshot could u explain the radar in the F-16. I have tried finding videos about the problem I'm having but none seem to help. The problem is everytime I try locking an air target and they are very high like at least angels 18 and are being seen by AWACS. Out of nowhere they just disappear on my radar and don't appear until they are closer but still are very high and I don't understand how they hid on radar and AWACS while being high. It's also not likely that they turned off their radar because they were locking me and could shoot at me but I couldn't do anything about it(I was in a F-16 US Team).

Keep in mind, that F16 radar will be able to lock something like su27 from 35-40miles tops

DCS bit a bone of MSFS and X-plane's WX system.
