02:49 🕒 Intermittent fasting, or time-restricted feeding, can be a powerful tool for achieving a caloric deficit and promoting fat loss. 06:33 💪 Eating 50 grams of protein per meal can help maintain or build muscle, boost metabolism, and keep you feeling fuller for longer. 09:47 🚶‍♂ Walking 10,000 steps daily can create a caloric deficit, aiding in fat loss, and offers numerous health benefits. 14:14 🏋‍♂ Incorporating resistance training three to six times per week helps preserve muscle mass while focusing on fat loss. 15:50 😴 Prioritize sleep, aiming for 7-8 hours nightly, to optimize hormone levels, mood, and overall health, facilitating fat loss and improved well-being. 19:32 🌅 Establish a bedtime routine: 2 hours before bed, avoid drinks; 1 hour before bed, reduce exposure to sunlight or blue light to improve sleep quality. 20:39 💡 Implementing the mechanical rules of fat loss can significantly reduce body fat percentage, especially for those at higher levels, and can be done sustainably. Share your experiences with these processes in the comments to help others gauge their effectiveness.

Thank you. I love the inspiring way how you explain the Five rules of body fat loss: 1. Intermitted fasting 2. Eating 50 gram of protein each and every single meal 3. Walking (10,000 daily steps: 10 minutes of walking will give you 1,000 steps) 4. Resistance training ( min.3-times per week to max 6-times per week) 5. Sleeping 7 to 8 hours (with REM and deep sleep, your body undergoes various restorative processes).

It's not about eating. It's about NOT eating. If you want good health: Fast! If you want to save money:Fast! If you want to really feel great: Fast! If you want to feel emotionally well:Fast. Start out slowly and increase your fasting time over the first month. You will notice how easy it is to get longer periods and the benefits will immediately be noticeable. Be humble, Be kind, Be forgiving, Be yourself! You are wonderfully made ! Peace!

Now is a great time to fast as we are teo hours away from the Summer Solstice. So I’m doing a 3 day with friends. Yesterday was water only. Today is water and juice, and tomorrow will be a watermelon only fast with liquors. I tend to fast 1 day a week on Mondays, but do a 3 day every solstice and equinox. Fasting is easy because when you get hungry, you can feel your stomach like you always do, except with liquids and the hunger evaporates.

I have some 25lb dumbbells and a 45lb kettle bell that I work out with at home. I do the best I can working third shift with sleep but I average around 7hrs. I've lost 130lbs in a year and a half. I have 45 more pounds to lose and I'll hit my weight goal of 173lbs.

    1) Give your body time to digest, convert and and use the energy it has consumed.(fast) 2) Eat muscle building foods that digest longer. (protein) 3) Help digest and use the converted energy (walk) 4) Instruct your body to convert protein into muscle (resistance training) 5) Rest and heal the body (sleep). All common sense things that we should be doing naturally. Why then is it so hard to effectively incorporate them into busy lifestyles? Most I can fit in if I am conscientious about it but sleep is seldom 7 hours or more. Along with walking, I would add dancing. It is a great way to jump start your fat burning especially if you are rocking out to something. Making a coffee? Put the kettle on and your earphones, let loose and jump, swing those arms, shake the booty and just go for it. I often do 2 -3 songs then sit down with my cuppy. You'd be surprised how many calories you can burn just from dong this and in many ways it can be as intense as a HIIT session (just more fun.). Great advice given in the video. This is common sense but a good no nonsense approach to telling it as it is.

@upser76armyvet8, I would also like to congratulate you on your sobriety. While I didn't think I was an alcoholic I did see myself as having a problem. I retired and found myself drinking wine with every meal except breakfast. Often it was two or three glasses. In fact, I found when I ate seafood or animal protein I almost felt compelled to have wine to "enjoy" my meal. Needless to say I started gaining a LOT of weight. In essence, I was drinking more, moving less, sleeping poorly, and feeling horrible. I found that if I had eggs with my meal I could not even think about drinking wine. So I used my egg crutch to help me stop the wine. I have not had any wine since last September. On occasions, when with friends I may have a martini or two. I have lost weight, I'm moving more and sleep very well. Today, I plan to have lobster along with a glass of sparkling water with a dash of lemon. No eggs and no wine. Life is definitely better - BTW I'm also 72.

Hey Mike, I'm 64, and I'm wearing the sizes I wore in high school. I've been using fasting protocols since 1978; I enjoy fasting and find it easy. Also been eating real food for most of my life. However, I've also had five kids. I prioritize protein. I sleep well every night. I get 10-20 thousand steps a day. I need to... want to, get back to resistance training. With my genetics, I could be amazing. I already have good muscle tone and many 40 somethings have more wrinkles. I need more muscles and less fat on my belly. My waist line is defined from behind and on the sides, and with support, I look fine in clothes, but, to be honest, my belly never recovered from pregnancy. Most people wouldn't complain about a body like mine at 64, but I know I have the potential to be even better. It's important to my work. I'm a performer. I sing and dance and wear nice clothes for a living. I think I only need to "weigh" 5-10 lbs. less. I'm 5'9" and I weigh 150lbs.

Wow. I'm 5'8 210. Everyone always assumes I am 175 due to weight training for 20yrs. I was lifting heavy before sciatica, 350lb leg press, etc. I would love to be your weight but I'm 33%body fat obese, wear a size 12, most of my fat is in lower belly with no children. The fact that people always assume me to be a perfect size has caused me to be overly casual about weight. If it's loose skin, you may have to get it removed.

Thank you Dr Mike. I came across your videos 2 months ago. I started fasting for the first month, 20 hours, and ate two meals, but I only lost 8 lbs; at that time, I was not careful with my food and was not exercising. During the last 4 weeks, I lost 22 lbs. I reduced my meals to one per day and fasted for 23 hours. I also started to walk 2-3 times a week. In total, i lost 30 lbs in 2 months. My goal is to lose 60 lbs. I probably have another 1.5 months to go to reach my goal. With your free KZread videos that are simple and straightforward, I was able to figure out my meals and workouts. I will start incorporating the strength workout soon. Thanks again!

They give you minimal information to get your interest and then invite you to "invest" in your health. So many need help and are unable to get out of financial restrictions. Thank you for giving us information and help get started on the right track. God bless. To achieve health, also implement spiritual wellness which is just as important as mental, emotional, and physical wellness.

I love your 10-3-2-1 method/ strategy for better sleep quality. 10 hours before bed: Avoid caffeine to reduce its concentration in your bloodstream and promote quicker sleep onset. 3 hours before bed: Refrain from eating to prevent increased blood flow to the digestive system and potential disruptions during sleep. 2 hours before bed: Limit fluid intake to avoid waking up frequently during the night. 1 hour before bed: Minimize exposure to sunlight or blue light to signal your body that it's time to wind down for sleep. Blue light from e.g. phones, computers, and TV.

Dr. Mike sharing this information has changed my life. I have yo-yo dieted my entire life. Intermittent fasting is the way to go. Walking, resistance training, upping protein intake and sleep. This man is a Saint for sharing his knowledge. And: To Dr. Mike, My Gratitude to your High Character of caring, by sharing your knowledge is a blessing. *I need help with saggy underarms. I have small muscles in my arms and I'm doing a lot of resistance training on my arms in the pool.(1 hour non-stop swim aerobics with weights 3-4 x weekly.) But I can't get rid of the underarm "wiggle". I thought building up my arm muscles could help. But it hasn't helped enough. I'm 67 yrs old, 5'8" and 140 lbs. Will adding Creatine, along with more protein help me build muscle mass in my arms? I have already lost 30 lbs.

I’m 53 and lost 60 pnds since Jan 1st 24 (236-176) to May 1st 24 doing EXACTLY what Dr. Mike says. Never saw Mike before but I just liked and subscribed when he said he believed in God. The only thing I would change is make it 6 rules instead of 5, with #1 being asking the Lord Jesus to supernaturally intervene and transform you from the inside out. Just sharing because thats EXACTLY what I did and I want YOU to transform and have an abundant and blessed life. This comes from my personal testimony after losing a whopping 5 pounds in 2023 trying to do it on my own strength and power. Try it. What do you have to lose other than ALL of your weight? Both Spiritually and Physically. Enter into the Kingdom of Heaven WITHIN and begin living your eternal LIFE in the here and NOW.

Really? Listen or don't: You shouldn't ever be weighing your food OR counting calories! Don't you realise that all carbohydrates consist of sugar? There are 3 macros, Protein, fat, and carbohydrates. Only 2 are essential, protein and fat. Carbs are a non essential non-food. If you remove all carbs you are guaranteed to also remove your sugar addiction. Again, carbs will forever keep you craving non-nutritional crap. I eat one meal per day consisting of animal protein and fat. zero cravings EVER!

I have dropped fat and 15lbs. Don’t misunderstand this though because I lost measurements. Which for me I care More about How I Look VS How Much I Weigh! Walking does Soooo much more than most cardio. You also don’t need cardio to raise cortisol and cause weight gain.

The typical person is already walking to 3k to 4k steps a day just with normal moving around. So walking about 30 minutes after Lunch and Dinner should result in 10k steps a day. Also walking after meals has been proven to lower blood sugar spikes. Walking will be the easiest and most effective step on his list. Here's what I have been doing with great success... I dropped snacking, sugar, bread, pasta, deep fried and alcohol. Coffee at 6am, Gym for an hour M,W,F. Can of sardines at 9am. Start lunch with a salad with Balsamic vinegar then air fried proteins over white rice.or broccoli, walk 30 minutes, tea at 3pm, Can of Beans, Lentil or chickpeas at 630pm. Walk 30 minutes again. If ever I'm staving because of higher physical activity, anxiety or delays I just have some spinach , walnuts or popcorn. IMO, Not drinking or eating a real dinner is the most antisocial thing about the life choice so important to partner up for walking and gym and make it more social and therapeutic even using the sessions to talk, share and plan. Another thing I've done is be in a bar having only water with lemon and pretending it's a mojito while people get trashed.
