It’s wild that bootleg game websites have piracy security for their games

This video is like my obsession with other ARGs similar to Petscop. It's so real, and getting every little detail is either a massive accomplishment or an anomaly. It's insane. Even during the video, I thought to myself: "Is this just another ARG? Am I watching an April Fools video?" But as someone who is still in school, and seeing other students consistently playing on these awfully made game websites, now I at least know where they're coming from. There are also many other sites like the ones mentioned here. "Crazy games", "Poki", and many others I see often.

As a vietnamese person, I've got LOTS TO SAY. Scammers are EXTREMELY COMMON HERE, I own a phone and half the time I get ads for things unrealated, and sometimes messages from random people in cryptic language. And I am sure that is NOT THE ONLY ONE. It is likely that there are a bunch of other groups owning other games here, hell, every kid seems to want free robux or free gd so there's a high chance there is! God at least some people are patient, I want GD Full on Mobile and i have to wait three more motnhs to get it for real instead of doing what these people are doing. Colon, you have earned my trust indeed. (Note: Scamming is huge here but crime like robbers or hackers is not.) - Quang Anh.

Man, I really feel sorry for you because GD Full doesn't even cost much! It's just a few dollars. Just. A few. Dollars. That's like... really small price for a game that big. We all should thank RobTop it costs just 5 dollars (2.5 in my country, Russia), and not... 40, 50, 60 like SEGA and Nintendo games. Super Mario Maker 2 costs 60 dollars! Sonic Superstars... also. Sonic Origins... 50. And for what? For 2D games that are not far away from GD. I remember when I was a kid, I also didn't have much money, but... I still made two decent purchases, one of which is a used PS3. So I can't imagine how bad it must be to not be able to buy something as cheap as Geometry Dash. (Though yeah... I mostly buy Steam games on sales, when they are WAY cheaper than normal. GD on a sale costs 1.25$ in USA and 0.75$ in Russia. Steam version, not mobile)

However, instead of talking Tom, this uses a model of Santa. Not to mention landscape mode, which to my knowledge has never been in an official release of TTGR. To my knowledge, TTGR has been un-moddable since launch, using a self repair tool in the code, and as a mobile game, you cannot access the source code. That would mean that these people at one point either worked for Outfit7 games, or managed to get a copy of the code. So did smurfcat run or whatever, and it is even LESS subtle about it. Even if you look at the icons for them, they have Roy Rackoon. SO WHY CHANGE THE ASSETS IF YOU ARE ALREADY MAKING MOBILE GAMES PLAYABLE IN BROWSER!?

As a Vietnamese who watched this video, this video blows my mind. The fact that a group/company in Vietnam make multiple fake Geometry Dash games and you also find a lot of loopholes is fascinating me. Now is this illegal in my country? Maybe? Vietnam has some weird laws when it comes to copyright issues. They recently blocked websites that hosting and pirating movies. Unless RobTop contacts to Vietnamese law enforcement or they have proofs that a group of people is doing copyright infringement, those people might get away with it.

It feels so strange to me that there are real people running these websites. Like, ACTUAL people. Who are these people? How does the operation work? It just seems so strange to me because i can’t imagine people actually being in a situation where they are running these sorts of websites. It feels almost like a real life ARG of sorts. This is insane, it's given me chills along the entire video. I would love to see another update summary kind of video soon, where you sum up, what actually changed after you uploaded this video. But apart from that, thank you for all the effort you put into this video!

Honestly, this video was so good, it kinda pains me you mostly sticked to Geometry Dash. I've never seen a full breakdown of fake game websites on KZread, and I would find that a LOT more interesting than only having GD into consideration when looking into this rabbit hole, but maybe that's just me. All in all, 11/10 video. That extra point is for the intro, you just couldn't have done a better job on it.

That would explain the initial lack of a menu/practice/pause and the different menu when it did get added. I remember back when most fake GD websites just hosted the Impossible Game Demo. (also i kinda want to try to out-geometry dash them and make my own recreation, but that'd firmly count as a copyright violation and i also don't really want to contribute to this mess)

THIS is LITERALLY the video that I have been wanting to see for MONTHS! I have known about this particular game for a long time now. In fact, i’m pretty sure I commented about Geometry Lite in one of the community posts but whether you actually saw it or not, i’m still soo glad you made this video. I used to keep track of a lot of websites that hosted Geometry Lite, and there seems to be similarities with the ones that host GD Unity. That might suggest that they are made by the same person, but I might be wrong.

Also, remember that disclaimer that used to be in geometry dash io that said its a fan made version or whatever? Im not even kidding when I say that the EXACT SAME message is in EVERY SINGLE page that hosts GD Unity. Also, the code that redirects you to the games main page is present in GD Unity too, but that may just be a coincidence. I also know that the level in Egg Dash was DEFINITELY not made by them since many parts look like random parts from random robtop levels so its probably the same as XMAS dash which is just re-arranged versions of already existing levels.

I was so maaaad with my classmates playing these on school computers, (It was exam time, all periods were replaced by "Sit and do nothing") I got so mad, that I broke the school rules and installed GD on the pc by pirating it, and then playing levels like deadlocked and clubstep, shocking everybody with some skills

I think the reason they renamed Shell Shock to Eggzone is because they didn’t want people getting the g-lite version confused with the scratch version, since they were different levels
