I have never seen Beterbiev so angry at any boxer before except when he got head-butted by brown, I have no idea why he's mad at Bevol but this fight is not going past round five unless he is out to punish Bevol before knocking him out, or by stoppage.

Beterbiev's toughest fights were against Gvozdyk and Yarde. Both has really good speed and are the most stylisticly similar to Bivol among all Beterbiev's opponents, but look what happened. Beterbiev put them down. With those powerful body shots, the more you get hit, the more you get tired. No matter how good and fast Bivol can be, he will definitly slow down because he will get hit. I expect Beterbiev to knock him down in the latter rounds. Bivol won't be able to avoid Beterbiev's relentless pressure and power for 12 straight rounds. Beterbiev by KO, 10th round.

Besides agility, Bivol has shown resilience. His resilience and agility can potentially outplay precision and power of Beterbiev. That bloody fight can go to distance for that.

This is one helluwa fight. I think Beterbiev 5years ago, would smash Bivol to peaces, now they're more even.. Most people think he's just a brawler, but it ain't really the case, Beterbiev's movement is minimum required to do what he needs to do, which also conserves energy. He managed to down Usyk in amateurs, you could see if the fight went longer, it would def favour Beterbiev, because Usyk couldn't keep up Bivol off, even tho that was a while ago, i still think it shows he's not just a brawler, and in 12round fight, his strategy is really good and seems to be working. Now Bivol has better in and out movement than Usyk, but the question is can he keep up that tempo up? Because if he can't, Beterbiev's going to corner him, punish him, drain him, and end him inside 12 for sure, i don't see it going 12, unless it's Bivol.

If you say that Bivol can't fight Beterbiev for 12 rounds, then it can not be a 50/50 fight as you say. Beterbiev needs to knock out Bivol to win. If it goes 12, Bivol wins on points. Bivol throws more punches in bunches than Beterbiev. Beterbiev is obviously the monster power puncher.

bivol last 9 fight all came from UD.. against beterbiev i dont see any magic eventhough bivol is well rounded boxer.. more younger more footwork.. and beterbiev more like a classic boxer with a heavy puncher.. no drugs no alcohol no girls party but just a family man & devout to his religion plus 100% KO record.. my $$ on beterbiev👊🏻

No matter how unlikely it may seem even Arthur B can be beat, because he’s a human being. Yes, he hits like a human wrecking ball but he’s human. Who’s HIS Buster Douglas..I have no idea, but you just have to run into that one who has the cheat code to beat you. Time will tell if A.B. ever runs into “that guy” in the ring

Agree with you Stu, Betterbev has an unusual punching style, so short and non telegraphed but the effect is devastating, Bivol s a great classic boxer but Betterbiev is the favourite in my book.

If Bivol can control beterbiev over 12 rounds like he did Canelo I think it will be really impressive because keeping a man that strong with that power under control will take a lot of mental and physical energy he won’t be able to put one foot wrong reminds me of how calzaghe boxed Lacey, Lacey was also a monster puncher who every one expected to do a number on Joe but beterbiev is a lot more of a accomplished fighter than Lacey so it’s a tall task that’s why it will be so impressive

Biterbiev is strong like a bear one KO punch but the problem is the movement of Bivol is dangerous why because u cant find the target if Bivol dance around Biterbiev and out box him that would be a dificult evening for Bitberbiev but one punch can lights off Bivol thats where he need to becareful of. Love these 2 fighters, may the best men win and this is great for boxing

Beterbiev will look for the mid to close range. The issue is how he will find the range with bivol

Got bivol by decision. He beat alverez fairly easyly .and alverez is a good puncher and a good boxer. His ability to stay in the middle of the ring using his quick foot work, along with his combination punching will make the difference. He also strong mentally. Good point about his lack of power. We'll see. Great fight for boxing.

To be honest I really like bivol

Beterbiev 100 percent. all of Beterbiev's sparring partners said the same thing. Bivol trained with Beterbeiv and said he was the most dangerous man in boxing. Bivol is going to use alot of movement. the only person who's backing Bivol is robert garcia who sadly has not been wrong about a fight prediction in years.

I think Bivol's just too technically sound and too smart for Beterbiev to deal with. With his jab and footwork I think he'll manage to stay at a safe distance and rack up the rounds.

Boxing is not just staying at safe distance, you can't win that way. !2 rounds with Artur it's a very LOOOOOONG time.

When Bivol could not knock out Canelo but arrived at a UD win which cannot be underestimated, what are his real chances to knock out Beterbiev or even to achieve a UD in his favour? Well, as you see in épée fencing: with enough blade strength (strongest part of the blade beneath the socket) you can parry onsloughts carried out by 'blade weakness (the weakest part of the blade-the part between the middle and the point-is called the foible). But in boxing, there are no 'foibles', since punches are executed by full force of the punching arm. The only time that Beterbiev had to go 12 rounds for a KO was on 11 Nov 2017 against Enrico Kölling.

Maybe you could also be interested in my 'preview' of the garcia-haney fight: I really do not know why Ryan Garcia engaged in this fight while being 3.2 lbs over the 140 lbs limit which excluded his winning the super light weight championship in case of success. I also do not know how it was posible for Judge Max DeLuca to score a 112-112 draw when Garcia achieved 3 in words three (!!!) knock downs against Haney. Too bad Garcia did not realize a definite KO. But we have a paraell when Adalaide Byrd made such a biased scoring against GGG vs Canelo in 2017. The a 9-8 in Round 7 referee verdict was also a biased verdict against 'underdog' Garcia. Anyhow: This was my prediction BEFORE the fight: Is any prediction a matter of conviction? I guess not. All of Haney's 7 last fights have been 'UD's', but his last 7th round KO against Antonio Moran dates back 5 years to May 2019 and he almost lost to Jorge Linares in May 2021 in the last 2 rounds, preventing a KO only by constant clinching. With 16 UDs (51%) against 15 KOs (48%) Haney cannot be considered as a 'heavy puncher'. Anyhow his recodrd does not show a single loss. Considering Ryan Garci'as 25 fights with 20 KOs (80%) 4 UDs (16%) and only 1 loss (4%) it could still be possible that 'the king' might create a big surprise on 20th April 2024 iat Barclays Center in NYC even though the bookmakers only give him 'underdog status.'. Unless Bivol has dedicated his camp to all the power increasing techniques known to man, it'll probably play out with a satisfying technical display from him creating the illusion that he's winning, but each round Beterbiev will hurt him a little more until TKO in later rounds. That's how I see it going.

Well i disagree with you analysis. Calum doesn’t move around when fighting betibiev, but bivol is a technician and skillful fighter, he moves around and find his spot. If I am a betting man I bet on bivol to win either a knockout or decision.

Great fighter

A back and forth battle! They both gonna get hurt but one will his pain! Thats what gotta realize no matter how hard a man strikes they feel pain, get tired and dizzy just as much as they can hit and they know ya do t because a lot of men never fought or did hard core physical sports consistently. They both in trouble! My money easily on Bivol. Bone crusher gonna slow down and be easily getting pegged by jab by 6th round

Bivol floats like a butterfly, but he certainly doesn't sting like a bee and will be unable to keep Beterbiev off him. Beterbiev by KO in middle rounds.

People thinks Beterbiev is a brainless bully , but actualy he's a great tactician . It's all about Bivol being able to get Beterbiev respect , but he does not have the power to do so ... I see Beterbiev with a late stoppage .

I think it's the most important boxing match in several years: you have two absolute masters going at each other. Any of them can take it. I have enormous respect for Beterbiev, who poses an irreducible danger: he only needs to land once. And that may be it, you know. However, my money is on Bivol. I think Bivol is a superior boxer, technically, and we should expect the better boxer to win the BOXING match (a brawl is a different story). So, Beterbiev's power and technique aside, we should expect that Bivol will simply OUTBOX him, like he did Canelo and Zurdo Ramírez (who are far stronger opponents than the ones Beterbiev has faced in recent years). Bivol also seems to have a very good chin, and is actually hungrier. Beterbiev sees him more as a nuissance than anything else, so Bivol has an additional advantage: he is UNDERESTIMATED by most. Most importantly, I strongly suspect that Bivol has been studying Beterbiev for a long, long time, and knows HOW to beat Beterbiev. In fact, I would not rule out a dazzling surprise from Bivol (as in Beterbiev actually getting KO'd on the 8th or 9th round).

They have one common opponent in Sam Smith. Beterbiev destroyed him in 2 rounds, Bivol went the distance but thoroughLy out boxed Smith, though he got buzzed in the 11th round. Two very smart fighters, one who can box super well, the other who can knock you out at any point in the fight. Or how long can Bivol box before he gets tagged? Does he go down if he gets tagged? Can Bivol hurt Beterbiev? My instinct says Beterbiev can weather the storm better and is more dangerous. However, it could still be close if Bivol can stick around til the end.

I got 450/1 at the bookies' AND I got mocked & laughed at BUT how did that play out? Like I said - Beterbiev v Bivol will not even be close & Artur will beat Dmitri like he was his daddy.

Beterbiev is nowhere near the technical level of Crawford and Bivol is levels above Spence. Sure Beterbiev is a very good boxer with the fundamentals nailed down but it is his relentlessness and sheer power that make him what he is. Bud can take the fight anywhere he chooses, he can switch smoother than MJ and has just as much dog in him. Bivol is a phenomenal boxer. He might not have the same crack as Artur but his technique is flawless. His footwork and ability to move in and out of range is as good as anybodies. Sure, a high possibility that Artur stops Bivol as he is such a fierce puncher but the way you make out it won't even be close is ridiculous. Personally, I prefer to see the boxer prevail and I fancy Bivol to keep out of the way of the KO blows and punch his way to a points victory. This is a 50/50 fight in its purest form.

@@ANationalAcrobat-qj2dl Bivol was caught flush on the temple at the bell by Smith Jr. He took it like a champ and walked back to his corner. You do realise when a fighter that has the level of IQ that Bivol does, fights a dangerous puncher, their defensive awareness goes up a few notches. Bivol knows the only way Artur wins this fight is if he stops him. As big Roger said, "most people don't know s*** about boxing". I never thought it was a 50/50 fight between Terence and Eroll. Terence is by far the superior fighter. Eroll couldn't even stop a much smaller Garcia. Brook was boxing the ears off of him until he cracked in the later rounds, thanks to GGG already breaking him some 6 months or so prior. You never said you picked the round. You just said you had Evander to stop Mike and even though by some half miracle you picked the right round. You sure as s*** still wouldn't get 450/1. So I will say again, stop the cap and I would sure as hell say it to your face and despite what you may think, there is nothing that you can do about it. Enjoy the fight ya bum dosser.

Bivol has been ducking this fight for over 5 years now, heck it's been 7 years Bivol got the WBA belt and he attempted 0 unifications thus far while Beterbiev took out the division. Bless Saudi Arabia sport washing for making these Boxing matches possible in the last years, cause we know Bivol would have waited till Beterbiev is 45 to make this fight without some Saudi money. Still got Beterbiev for the win though, too tough, technical, hard punching and pressure inducing for somebody as unskilled and pillow fisted like Bivol. Bivol's youth and speed should give him a lot of trouble, but running away when you lack skills has a limit. Beterbiev late rounds stoppage win.

One achievement for Bivol will be - not to get stopped but to finish the fight. (I don't think he can even if I am actually a Bivol fan) The thing is that when Beterbiev gets you hurt, then he comes to unload - this is where Bivol needs a plan. This is the point. Bivol can box, win rounds, etc but the moment will come when Beterbiev touches him and then Beterbiev can come in. And once he is in, he can unload. And if he unloads.. the stamina is gone even if the opponent survives. If Beterbeiev is allowed to unload, then the opponent is just in survival mode. This is what Bivol needs to avoid - if he gets hurt and Beterbiev is about to step inside and unload uncontested, I think Bivol needs to put his knee down and prevent that. This is the only way to finish the fight. So Bivol can bet that even if goes down 3-4 times, he can win the rest of the rounds and finish the fight. Bivol could win or get a draw. But at this point, finishing the fight would still be an achievement. Getting touched, is unavoidable Bivol is not that good, and when that happens, Beterbiev comes and unloads - for this - Bivol needs a strategy not to let this happen. This is the absolute critical point for Bivol.
