Bivol has been doing a lot of strength training, and I suspect this is because his tactic is not specifically to try to knock out Beterbiev, but to make him fight on the back foot. This is something that is rarely ever had to do, but if you watch him in brief spell Stu in the Yarde fight, you will see he wasn’t exactly natural going backwards. Beterbievs main problem is he is much slower than Bivol, and Bivol will make him work every second of every round. Bivols footwork is phenomenal as is his work rate. Remember this is going to be a 22 or 24 foot ring unlike the Callum Smith fight which was in the phone booth size 18 foot ring. The longer this fight goes, the worse it will be for Beterbiyev as he’s never been 12 rounds yet, I’m chasing somebody as mobile as Bivol it’s going to be very taxing. He has had very compliant opponents who have not been mobile, and he has been able to conserve energy in the way he fights them . I simply believe this is not going to be something Bivol we are allowed to happen

I always rated Parker. He has skills, speed, stamina and power. The only thing he was lacking in his early career was killer instincts and confidence in himself, but he seems to have found it with Andy Lee

Zhang is not washed up. He's probably always had stamina issues but they simply havent been addressed. However, he isnt a young figher either and its quite late to be at tbe point of considering if he can change them . Why has his team waited so long? Oh, as for Wilder, i honestly dont think he wants to fight anymore. He taken some beating in not only the fury fights, but in earlier fights too. He just never applied himself to being as complete as any fighter should. He is at a stage now th aas t i think his body cannot withstand any more beatings and so he his fighting like all he is iiterested in is to not get hit.

@staraptorflock3661 but he didn't do anything to Parker. He most likely will repeat the same disappointment because he don't make adjustments in fights. Then blame his loss on his desire to retire

This is a great fight because even if they're both on the slide, they are still both massive punchers with the potential to shock. I also have to go with Zhang, he will have a clear weight advantage but mainly because he is a clever fighter. Look how fast he found Joyce's vulnerability to the left jab and then set up that devastating KO. He's also very durable, he soaked up a lot of really heavy shots from Hirgovic. It's still an exciting fight because although he doesn't possess an amazing skill set, we know what Wilder can do if he gets the opportunity, and even if he is fading they say the power is the last thing to go. But he will need to be 100% sharper than he was against Parker or he will never get the chance to land the big one. I actually think we will see a better Wilder than we did against Parker; his demeanour at the press conference suggested that he is not deluding himself any more, he knows this is really his last chance and he seemed pretty serious about it. But wil it be enough against Zhang? Anything is possible but the odds are against it.

IMO: Zhang has advantage in chin, accuracy, boxing ability and defense. Wilder has advantage is foot speed, hand speed, and stamina. Both usually throws single punches or 2 punch combinations. Both have enough power to knock almost anyone out. So power is not got to be a big factor. Wilder's best bet is to stick and move use his superior hand and foot speed. Zhang's best bet is to try to time and counter Wilder. Either that or to bombard Wilder early on like Joe Louis did against Max Schmeling in their second fight. There is not a chance in hell this fight is going the distance.

For me, Zhang wins easily. He is smart, and has genuine boxing skill and pedigree. But no engine. But I think he can just walk straight at Wilder, who has minimal skills and can't fight off the back foot. Zhang should be able to pick his shots, parry anything Wilder throws back, and completely expose Deontay. If I lay a bet, it will be on a Zhang win R1-3

Wilder hasn’t taken as much punishment in his career because he hasn’t fought the calibre or boxers that others have, wilder knows Zhang is there for the taking…1 big right hand over the top that Parker caught him with from wilder and Zhang is done…I’m gonna predict wilder round 3 zhang knockdown but Zhang will be back up and then eventually get caught again🥊🥊wilder will probably be back in with a shout at AJ fight or winner of baby miller Andy ruiz!
