I go out of my way to always search for a long sleeve kit before i ever buy shirts these days, its the best tradition for football fans

Ronaldo used to wear long sleeve shirts at United & Madrid too, he only started the baselayer at Juve. The last long sleeve shirt I bought was Ronaldo’s 15/16 home Madrid kit but now Adidas only sell Madrid long sleeve shirts as player issued.

Those retro long sleeve shirts are brilliant!

So glad Arsenal still produce long sleeve shirts for fans. Absolutely love my long sleeve home shirt from this season.

i'm really missed long sleeved and not-so-tight football shirts like in the early-to-late 2000's, especially in the hands of strikers like Sheva, Henry, Van Nistelrooy, and Torres.

I love that Roma long sleeve jersey he is wearing - pure class !

I'm a Big Fan of long sleeved shirts, particularly Manchester United from the 90s,it's a shame they're not really in use anymore,I'd love to see them back

At least there are still few who wear them - Ramos, James Rodriguez, Sané, Goretzka (sometimes), Griezmann and of course CR7 for Portugal. Any long sleeve iteration looks much better rather than when cuff is in middle of shoulder and baselayer goes down - it's just wrong

The long sleeve shirts look cleaner especially with how you can add to the design on the kits, I wish clubs in Europe brought them back and I would also like to see them in the MLS as well

I’m from the era where I’m 8 years old in 2008 and I’ve only watched football for 2 seasons properly now (started in 2006) and I liked certain long sleeves kits. When I was 15 I liked long sleeves adidas kits, I guess it’s just the trend now with base layers but it will come back soon I hope

I loved long sleeve shirts as a kid, played in them outside in the snow with the orange ball... Last 10 years I only found one adidas Russia euro 2016 long sleeve kit, I am sad that kit makers dont make them anymore..

Best kit with long sleeve was definitely Liverpool 2006-2008 home kit. Torres was rocking that kit on the field!

My holy grail of long sleeve shirts which I own are all 3 Fiorentina shirts from the 99/00 season. The extra lines before they form into the Fila F only make them more appealing to the eye. The other 2 are Juventus's 99/00 Intertoto Cup shirt with the Kappa logo tapered down the arms with the Sony sponsor (not the D+ one). And finally France's 2006 World cup away shirt in white.

One thing I love about long sleeves is that if it’s warm out, you. Can just roll up the sleeves.

I always buy the long sleeve option where possible. Been disappointed the last few years that long sleeve shirts are becoming less popular and tougher to buy

Question: is the 20/21 ajax away long sleeve a thing or a fake? I've been looking everywhere for it and it seems only fake sites offer them, yet there's legit-looking images of it going around 🤔 .. Any help is highly appreciated.

Jerseys are only getting more expensive. We demand they start selling them with also league and/or other competition patches.

Bring back the long sleeve shirt! In my collection of shirts 95% of my shirts from 90s and up to about 2012 are long sleeve. This includes many clubs and international teams who made their shirts available in L/S. Now only about 20-30% of my shirts since 2012 are long sleeve. Shame really.

This has ruined the Arsenal tradition of all players wearing same sleeve length. Wenger didn't enforce it evidently after the two best players in the clubs history refused to comply.

As a GK I honestly think that defending in a short sleeve shirt with a base layer is more comfortable. I love the look of long sleeve in all the other position though

I bought a the L/S Ver of the Arsenal 22/23 shirt, with Saka's name & number on it , despite him or any Arsenal players not wearing them this season, I'd always wanted a LS shirt while growing up but not only did I realise it was becoming out of fashion but the sleeves weren't fitting enough for my usual size, I guess I have longer arms than the average XL footballer and I couldn't try another one to see if it's better. Hence my regret on it.

I’m 45, I think of long sleeves and my mind goes to legendary players of my youth, so I cannot have an objective opinion on this one, I just love long sleeves. I still buy them when found in prices I can afford, and I certainly hope manufacturers realize that small or big, there IS a market for long-sleeved shirts.

Would I buy a long sleeve? Probably not because the time we buy them is usually summer, and considering the heat we’re having right now over here in Ireland, which isn’t normal, none of us would want to make ourselves warmer by wearing long sleeves. It looks nice, but practically I just can’t see myself buying a LS shirt but at the same time I would buy one for difference.

I mean, the first football shirts were short sleeved. It's not that much of problem for me that long sleeved shirts will decline more and more. Perhaps they will be trendy again. Long sleeves are better than baselayer. Current kits sleeves have a pattern and a baselayer ruins totally the appearance.
