Cause his rise to fame was more from his ventures outside of football and his good looks. His football skill is absolutely no joke but compare to players who are classic no 10, his deadball specialist skill just can't be shown as frequently

@@s4xtt He's one of THE originals who was able to cultivate a "brand", not just be a great footballer and that's it....Once he retires he's lost like most players are, He found a purpose that IMO transcended his identity as "Beckham the footballer" to "Beckham the man" and that's always understated, it's crazy how people think it's all fame and nothing more, he made SERIOUS business moves and I for one am happy he is getting his rewards. He deserves all the good fruits in life.

I think with time people know him more for his after work laying career, when in facts he is one of the true legends of the game. Might not be the most skillful but the impact he had is tremendous

Is it just me or is the audio messing up quite abit? Like one minute it's fine then just goes really loud and echoey when Ellis is talking but sounds fine when David Beckham is speaking
He couldn't let the Leeds shirt go 😂 the rivalry never softened. Great episode Great memories seeing all of them shirts.
For over 30 minutes you interview one of the most influential football living legends. I can understand if you were nervous, but you did great, man. Your knowledge of Beckham's history is incredible, as is your collection. Honestly, this is probably the most informative Beckham interview ever.

Legend for doing what? He’s saying predictable things. I’ve watched 13 minutes so far and every predictable piece of information about the shirts has been mentioned. He’s been good at talking a lot but as far as football shirt history I’ve learnt nothing new. He’s quite excited with himself but I’m not thrilled at all.

Buzzing for you Ellis, this is an excellent video.
Whatever you think about the glitz and showbiz glamour around Becks, when he reminisces about his career, he always has a smile on his face.

First time seeing this kid. He is so good, great questions and flow to his interviewing style.
The precious details that he still remembers of the shirts he wore is fascinating .. cheers becks ..love from india ..
When I watched Preston back in the 90s, watched Beckham at Deepdale, his goals. He was a name back then, coming through, But he stood out completely. I remember his movement and on the ball, he was just levels above.

One of my favourite football memories was seeing him score a free kick (against Fulham I think) for PNE. Me and my grandad tipped him for greatness. Shame he only played a few games for us.

Great viewing ..my fave bit was when David’s OCD kicked in when you tried to put the training pants back on the hanger and they ended up like a dogs dinner …oh the look😂😂

Dude, I have met David when he came to South Africa - I say met, but I mean got a "hi" and I crumbled. Your professionalism is superb, Ellis. Always game for a the quirks, but when you need to do the role, you're on point, and still holding your personality through it all. That is a massive thing to get right, and you own it. Crazy to think a few years ago I used to watch Ellis go to all sorts of away games with long fringe lol, to know being invited out and doing a collection video with david beckham. Crazy, come along way but fully deserves it.

My first ever game was in the 96/97 season. It was Spurs (who I support) vs Man Utd. The game ended 2-1 with Beckham scoring the winner.
