The only thing that’s unfortunate in David’s case is most people think his fame overrated his career and ability as a footballer when in fact it had done the opposite, the fame made his abilities underrated

​@@cent9424 it's easy to underrate Beckham. He wasn't flashy at all, his position wasn't about scoring a ton of goals and he was a team player, not for himself. He couldn't dribble and he knew it. He'd give you some of the best long passing shots I've seen tho. Strangely he didn't seem to have much of an ego and you can tell he's still a modest guy who doesn't forget where he came from. He could be an ambassador for whatever cause he felt like and he'd succeed. He's a natural.

This guy is timeless. Most star athletes let themselves go after they retire, but this guy just gets better with age. One of a kind.

It’s wild how much you can take away from these professionals / celebs in a sneaker shopping segment. Beckham seems to be unbelievably humble despite his success. Love to see how cool this dude is.

The best part is him being able to bring his boots in and they focused on them so much, I mean they are still shoes and they are so legendary

Adidas predator accelerator from 1998 were my absolute prized possession, purely because of this guy. He really was the Jordan of football in the 90s/00s when it came to selling football boots Never forget when he scored from the half way line in 96. Legend

This has to be hands down BEST episode. I usually skip the talking part and go straight to what they get lol. But for this one it was so interesting , wish it was longer.

Legend! I'm from England and I've never heard Becks talk for so long! Such a lovely and inspiring guy...it came across like Joe was really happy to have him on and he looked so sweet when Becks gave him the jersey 😊 Nice one!

Nicest guy in the world now. Met Mohawk Becks the summer of 2000, when I was a kid, shopping for CDs in a mall somewhere. Didn't utter a word when I politely asked "hi David, big fan, may I please have an autograph?". Definitely invested in media training as his global notoriety grew. Wife was an absolute gem - humble and sweet.

I'd say he's always been pretty decent, but 98-2002 ish was a crazy period for him, I guess he was under a lot of stress.

It was so cool seeing him talk about the evolution of the Predator line! I always appreciated the look of those boots!

Proper Brit- Sambas on the playground (and in the classroom). One of the few footballing greats who managed to get the country back behind him after his early fall from grace - and he became a true great. We’ll never forget his free kick against Greece in the dying seconds. Still one of the most emotional moments in England history.

as i expected from my idol ! he didn't go for "how much for the store ?" ,but a single pair of shoes that he does not have. -modesty -no mumbling -mature professional and family man -iconic thoughts this is the absolute best episoe u guys had !

When I say Becks was my idol it would be an understatement. Even with me being a a goalkeeper he was my idol. I had every predator ever released, I had his shirt every season he’s ever played for club and country (minus his stint at Preston Northend) . He inspired me throughout my whole career and I love seeing them walk through his history like this
