Sorry for writing in English, my Russian is too poor and my Ukrainian is nonexistent, I just wanted to give my sympathies. I am a teacher in Norway and one of my colleagues is a Ukrainian schoolteacher we were able to collect money for and save from Donetsk last year. He had refused to leave the school and the children back in 2014, but when the war started he refused to be drafted into the DNR militia by the Russians to shoot at his fellow Ukrainians, so they drafted his mother instead as a nurse, beat him up, stole his money and his clothes and left him naked in the snow. Luckily he survived, and we teachers from abroad who knew him were able to collect money for a smuggler who took him into Russia and then over to us. Poor man, he still teaches Ukrainian refugee children here, but he is worried sick about what is happening with his mother and the schoolchildren of Donetsk. I wonder if this lady grabbed any of them.

Even if to a Western audience it should be clear that the interviewed is a psychopath, war criminal, and lier, and the journalist clearly knows this, some of her lies can get thorough when they are published without an additional in-depth explanation. It is dangerously easy to take her plea for listening to ‘both sides’ too seriously, because to someone who does not understand the topic it may sound reasonable. But in this case one side is committing genocide and the other is trying to defend itself. That’s not time to listen to both sides. Anyway I hope to see her in the Hague when Ukraine wins the war. Isn't it then their responsibility to offer such corridor to safely evacuate children to safe place in their motherland? I am pretty sure both sides done many wrong acts, which shouldnt have been done, looking at it just from 1 side tho, shows lack of critical thinking and following everything what 1 side says without checking enough possible sources. Several agreements were made, russians would agree "yes we will ceasefire so that civilians can leave"... and then fired on those corridors in the middle of the time agreed, when it was full of fleeing civilians. This happened several times, whatever Russia did it on purpose, or lack of order in units, doesn't matter: People became too scared to try to leave anymore, and then got bombed in their homes.

All these talks about “brotherhood” and so on means absolutely nothing. They are ashamed to admit they are loosing to us Ukrainians, as they always thought of us as weak second-grade nation. As a true bully, a russian is only capable of understanding the position of power. They know the west is stronger and smarter, they will not attack but they will threaten. As they do now.

For those unaware of the details of the Russian strongholds prior to the 2022 invasion, about a week after Russia “annexed” Crimea, the same Russian militants responsible for Crimea began showing up in Donetsk. About a month later, they stormed and took control of the police stations and government buildings. Over the next year, they brought in Russian reinforcements, and turned parts of the region into a conflict zone, forcing around half (~3 million) of the Ukrainian residents to relocate to other Ukrainian regions. The idea that LPR/DPR are independent regions, and that the Russian stronghold in Donetsk stretched unimpeded to Mariupol and beyond, is pure BS. Throughout history, Russian leaders have tried to stifle Ukrainian language and culture through policy many times, this being no different. Even before the war, Russia had a major population and demographic problem, and it’s highly likely that their children plan was in place before the war for this, and other manipulations. It would have been so easy to invite UN teams, NGO’s, or an unbiased 3rd-party country to come in and serve this function….even now (Bakhmut’s mention means that children are still being deported). Don’t be fooled by the well-coordinated and prepared lady in white, in an all-white Russian studio, as she spews disinformation.

Come on. Of course you stay cool when just let the ruzzian propaganda speak and do nothing about it. This is such a bullshit journalist job. The only thing Izzy did was giving a speech platform to a Hague-awaited international war criminal. She never said anything to contradict obvious blatant lies. You say you use children at a political stage and then you say you don’t? Okay. You had to „save” children from the country you invaded from your own shelling? Well okay okay. You were demonstratively shown a camp with deported children and they’re okay. Ffs, for real, everything is great yeah? You say those children are provided with a possibility to learn Ukrainian in russia? Whatdafunk, where on earth is that the truth!? Any freaking example out there!? But well who needs to ask those questions, go on Maria, tell us more russian propaganda bullshit. We’ll do essentially nothing to contradict it even on post-production.

3:17 the reporter says that "we know that Russia does not want Ukraine to exist" but Russia hasn't said that anywhere, not in any official statements, and has frequently said the opposite in the last few years. They have criticised nationalists and extremists out of control and deadly in Ukrainem and criticised treatment of ethnic Russians etc. They have said that Ukraine is being used and abused by some in the west and this has been the fault of recent governments I think. Nowhere that Ukraine should cease to exist.

Go ask Iraqi if Americans offered them to take kids away for holidays or told them to stay at home in the line of fire and then dropped bombs in their houses. How many parents were saying Anericans killed all their kids by bombs dropped saying their fighters hid around so it was just ‘ collateral ‘ damage. This is good, what this woman does is evil. Ok
