I love this video! In the Western Church, the gospel message has been whittled down to focus on salvation more than vocation. Most Christians today see Jesus’ sacrifice as a means to have eternal life. But that is only a secondary “bonus” effect of Jesus’ sacrifice, not the main effect. The MAIN work of Jesus’ sacrifice was to enable us to BE the true humans we were meant to be: the Royal priesthood God had planned for us in the very beginning of creation. THAT is the good news! Yes, we have eternal salvation with God, but more importantly, we are now able to BE God’s light and love on earth without being held down by sin. THAT is the good news of the gospel that is too often forgotten and overlooked in The Church today. Amen! I can’t wait to delve more into this and take this calling seriously as a follower of The King.

Correction please. The primary and highest aspect of the cross was to glorify Yahweh. The 1st goat . The lot for Yahweh, then the Azezal. And nowhere does the Spirit teach us that humanity are PRIESTS. YOU WILL NEVER FIND THIS TEACHING IN SCRIPTURE. PRIESTHOOD CAME INTO BEING IN PETER FOR THOSE WHO ARE SAVED. PRIESTHOOD HAS TO DO WITH INTERCEDING FOR THE LOST AND ONE ANOTHER. STEWARDSHIP HAS TO DO WITH MANKIND PRIOR TO THE FALL. PLEASE STOP GIVING US YOUR THOUGHTS AND STICK WITH WHAT THE SPIRIT TEACHES US IN CONTEXT IN HIS WORD

You're right, everything God does is for God's glory. God's glory above all. But I encourage you to look at other biblical works aside from Peter that speak to God's people being a royal priesthood, a nation to bless all other nations, and a light to the world. The idea of a royal priesthood is not simply a development of Peter, but has existed before then. Also, what is the KZread comment section for other than allowing average viewers (like you and me) to share our thoughts on a video? If you're looking for biblically sound, spirit-led, theologically and academically robust information regarding videos... don't come to the KZread comment section. This isn't what it's meant for, you won't find it here. I respect your opinion, but people will take you more seriously if you reply more respectfully. It makes it difficult to have a genuine discussion when you're replying like this.

@William anything to do with God is against human ego. Look what they did to Jesus! He sacrificed Himself so that humanity could be saved, but since the royals and pharisees didn’t get what they wanted from Jesus, they crucified Him. The Bible even says people hate the light because the light exposes their evil deeds (John 3:20). That’s the reason so many people don’t want to turn their lives to God, they love sin! The BibleProject certainly is a threat to people’s ego, but it’s up to the person to let their fleshly desires die and try to be more pleasing in God’s sight. I personally like the BibleProject because they’ve helped me to see the Bible in different perspectives. I’m almost certain at one point, the BibleProject will be silenced. You know why? Because of this verse: 2 Timothy 3:12 “In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,” And also for the exact same reason you said, because God is a threat to human ego. Becoming a Christian means changing your entire life and staying away from evil, you’re against culture and everything society tells you. Also, anything to do with God and the Bible is supposed to give you hope and courage. God empowers a lot of people, that means they’re a threat to some (possibly the government in some cases, which I’m sure you know what I mean) who have evil motives and desires. So, certain people want to take that hope away from you by silencing or taking away anything that has to do with God so that you can look to worldly things for hope (which is also a trick of the enemy and in the end, does not give you everlasting hope). Bill gates using the Gospel for a plan makes sense in my mind. It’s absurd, taking the Truth and using it for evil plans but I’m not surprised they’d do something like that. Just like how atheists use the Bible to prove creationism wrong, evil people are going to use Scripture to tempt people. It’s even in the Bible too! satan tempted Jesus using Scripture, Jesus made satan flee from Him using Scripture too.

You need to pick up your Bible and study it for yourself and allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to you. Everyone will give their own interpretation, but it’s the Holy Spirit is the only one who can tell you the truth because God is the author of the Bible.

I’m personally an atheist but I find this so fascinating, I love religion I find these stories so interesting I love to learn about religions, thank you.

@Nicholas Sherrill The word in Greek is G1849 exousia. This word is translated: power, the power to rule. Authority means you are not the SOURCE of the power. The original source of the power has to ALOW you to use it according to an AGREEMENT. That's why when Israel disobeyed Lord God, they lost the power and their enemies prevailed against them. Israel had STRENGTH as long as their AGREEMENT to obey the commandments of God was in good standing order. That's why the devil is DECEIVING people, because the devil KNOWS the CONDITION of power that is given to the people. People have POWER over the devils as long as people OBEY LORD GOD. The more people learn to OBEY Lord God the more AUTHORITY Lord God can give to that person in His kingdom. When Saul was persecuting belivers in Jesus, Saul had letter of AUTHORITY from the high preast in Jerusalem (Acts 9:1-2) this letter allowed Saul to use the religious resources to persecute the christians. I try to explain to the people how it works because people who understand that our AUTHORITY is given to us IF we obey Lord Jesus. The easiest way the devil is taking our power away is by deceiving people to disobey or to insert SOMETHING between Lord Jesus and the believer. That's why catholics are POWERLES because the devil put ANOTHER BOOK (cathehism) between the believer and the bible. Many pastors didn't listen to my advice and lost their authority because they gaved in and crossed the line. Power comes from ONE source only: from Lord God..... OR... from the devil. Choose wisely because there's a clear dividing LINE between the two sources. It is NEVER a combination of the two. Jesus has the POWER The obedient believers have the AUTHORITY in the name of Jesus (Revelation 3:12) there's the signature and the seal of AUTHORITY.

You & I are priests of a Holy God. There is no greater honour 🙌

Another couple of thoughts and reminders: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from GOD, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. 1 John 3:1-2 See how Great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, NOW (emphasis added) we ARE children of GOD, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when HE appears, we will be like HIM, because we will see HIM as HE is. NASB. New American Standard Bible (2006) Just think of it... Children of GOD...Temple of the HOLY SPIRIT. Priests of GOD...Joint heirs with JESUS CHRIST...Born again in and through and by HIM... And this is jus the beginning. So let your/HIS light shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify GOD who is in heaven...and in you.

The name" Royal Priest" is so exalted... Can't describe it more

Thank you for this message it gives me hope. I never would have imagined this would happen to me. I want to give up! But I will continue to trust God! Having faith even in my time of deep despair. I lost my job because I refused the vaccine. I refused due to my already failing health. Heart disease and lupus. I’m on a ton of medications already. Including blood thinners. Since losing my job I’ve been struggling to provide for myself and my two children. I’m so overwhelmed because both of my boys are autistic. So they require a lot out of me. My husband passed away three years ago so I’m all alone. I’m so down and depressed. I have been called horrible names and mocked because of my circumstances. This month me and my boys are facing homelessness if I can’t come up with the rest of the rent. Every month is a struggle. But I have so much faith that God will provide for me and my children FAITH OVER FEAR.

2:10 when John says these people are not priests they are Merchants and Fisherman I felt the Holy Spirit rise up inside me. What a privilege I have been given to be a priest in my Father's house.

But sadly not so in the West. I remember when I got saved over 25 years ago there was so much excitement in the church amongst the saved, and even outside of church. The freedom to witness was immense, unlike today with the 'hate' laws!

I have learned SO much from Bible Project since discovering their videos a few years ago through their Youversion Bible reading plans. These theme videos have helped me see how the Old Testament pointed to Jesus. When I was young, I used to think the OT was just not really relevant to Christianity, and that as a believer I really only needed to read the New Testament -- how wrong I was! The foreshadowing of Christ throughout - from Genesis to the psalms and prophets has just opened my understanding so much! I know Him better and see how to follow Him! I am a priest in my home, and Jesus is our High Priest! Amazing, Beautiful, Life-Transforming. Thank you! ❤
