Imagine being Aaron, what an incredible responsibility he had. The thoughts that would run through his mind when he donned his garments and performed his duties. I would imagine it would be a combination of a certain amount of healthy anxiety, reverence, and joy. Just my thoughts currently on this as I read through Exodus.

I only read the description or seen diagrams on the garments which didn't do any justice. But seeing what the garments looks like in color is beautiful

@@messagesofChrist One thing, though: I never thought that "urim" and "thummim" were actually physical objects. Urim means "lights," and thummim means "perfections." I have always taken that to refer to the High Priest's heart attitude. That is, he must be a "light" to the world, and he must be "perfect" by God's definition thereof. Each one of the stones represents some kind of spiritual maturity: they are the "lights." For example, the amethyst literally means "not drunk," i..e., "sober" (1st Thessalonians 5:8, 1st Peter 1:13, 5:8, etc.). "Perfections" does not mean "sinless," since that was impossible for everyone but Jesus; but God does expect us to meet a reachable standard (Genesis 17:1, KJV).

@@davidlafleche1142 The scriptures and later Jewish tradition make it very clear that they were actual objects. Yes, the words do have meanings behind them, and they can have a symbolic deeper meaning, but they are actual stones. With all the research I did (which was quite a bit) to make the clothing, I never came to anything that said the Urim and Thummim were just symbolic. Hope that helps.

The attention to detail you put into this and the amount of symbolic detail in the wardrobe is so beautiful.

It was work back then just to produce the materials, then turn around and make the goods that the Lord commanded. I have it easy. God is that good! Amen!

That was very helpful! I'm glad I found your video. About a minute into the video I realize that I was actually literally watching a real person make these things from the ground up! Kudos and congratulations and much admiration to all the artistry of all the people who worked on everything. This was all very helpful and helped me see the seriousness of Aaron's duties. What it must've felt like to put each one of those on and then walk in before the Lord as a representative of all the people, all the sinful and rebellious people before a holy God

This is a very nice video. Unusual. Made with care it seems. I assume it is accurate. This being so, it is very uplifting and spiritual somehow. It shows that man is made to serve God in a holy and special way. It means God is allowing man to do certain things to for Him. Shows garments and place have a holy name.
