Sacrifices and Offerings of the Law of Moses

Video adapted from a filmstrip produced by the Church Education System (CES) in 1980 about the Law of Sacrifice. It is one of the better discussions I have seen on the Law of Moses and Jesus Christ.

Thank you for helping me learn more about the symbolisms of Sacrifice. I appreciated the explanation of the use of Fire (purity or judgement) Salt (preservation of the Contract with God) , Blood (Death of the Animal, like Jesus Christ's Atonement & Death on the Cross), and Sacrifices (in relation to Jesus Christ's Atonement and giving our lives to Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ). I appreciated the connection between our dedicated lives with the Peace offerings or the Oblation offerings. Either Communing with God or Repenting so we can renew our Communing with God.

God asked for altars to built for many things in Christian Holy Bible. An altar is a symbol of respect. This scripture means we should pray and give thanks for all things we receive from God. The reason why God had altars built for sacrificed animals is to give thanks not just because an innocent life was taken to feed us but to show respect that many people and animals dont have food to eat themselves. I have a sincere question - where, in the Old Testament, do we learn that the sacrificial system was not sufficient to cleanse people from sin, and that it required the sacrifice of Jesus? This seems to be the key element of the Christian religion and yet, I do not know where one can apprehend such idea in the Old Testament. It appears to be a superimposed doctrine, and not something one would genuinely learn from reading the Old Testament, especially considering that the Prophets speak of a joyful return to the sacrificial system during the Third Temple period (in the future), something that should be totally banished and made useless by the atonement of Jesus. I would appreciate someone who could give a coherent explanation on the above.

  • @messagesofChrist

    @messagesofChrist

    3 жыл бұрын

The Old Testament does not directly mention it, but the simple fact that sacrifices had to continually be offered, daily, weekly, on the feasts, on the Day of Atonement, etc. it shows that the offerings were only temporary and not something that permanently took away sin. In essence, the law was very clear that if you did not continue to offer sacrifice forever, sin would remain. As we don't currently offer sacrifices, without an infinite sacrifice, we would never find forgiveness of sin without continual sacrifices to the end of time. The book of Hebrews has several good passages including Hebrews 7:18-19, 27; 9:7, 11-12; 10:1 that make this point.

There are a lot of good questions and curiosities. What I find most amazing is everyone question why God would allow the killing of animals, but no one question WHY that burger or steak or chicken or fish they ate where killed. I too felt once that same doubt, but everyone fail to realize, God did to himself, the very things he had the priests do. He died on the cross. He did nothing less than what he command himself. He command sacrifice and yet he came in the flesh, was tortured, humiliated, flogged, whipped, tortured and sacrificed for you, for us. The very same thing he had done to animals, he had done to himself. This video I fell gives a better understand how Christ is called "The Lamb of God", and why he was counted as "sin" for us. Recall what the video said about the laying of hands on the head of the lamb. Someone said in another video " to question this or to say they you would have done better" is the same as placing yourself above and to say that you know better than God.

1 minute in and I have found false flags. First of all the biblical manuscripts did not say Adam and eve ''did not know why they had to make an atonement for their sins." Right after they were cursed, the first sentence states Cain and abel made an sacrifice unto the lord. Neither in my king James bible nor the Hebrew manuscripts states the theory of this. Also where did this angel appear to state the significance of this??. That's written nowhere in this bible and in historical manuscripts does not say this. To claim Adam and eve were confused is just mans opinion and theology. Theology is going to doom most believers to hell fire. Also Joseph Smith is a false prophet who written a heretical book that does not even have any truth in it. Men on the moon, magical underwear, when we die we become our own god????. Absolute wicked in the site of the lord. Those who are mormon please come out of this cult and read the words of jesus/Joshua as they were truly written. My advice is to find another video that is historically accurate of sacrifices and offerings. Jesus christ died for our sins but we are commanded to be believe and be baptized immediately in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you will receive the gift of the holy ghost by speaking in tounges and prophesying. Follow the teachings of Jesus, NOT man, Catholics, protestants, evangelicals, Christians, any church. Jesus christ commanded us to follow him and only him. Not Joseph Smith nor any other prophets. Wake up people....

We cannot claim that our sin was “imparted” to our messiah! Ezekiel 18 states each mans sin is upon himself. Our messiah died to ascend to the heavenly tabernacle and to atone for us there. This is why he is our high priest! Hebrews explains this. That he is serving as high priest to make atonement for us in the heavenly tabernacle. His blood is not what cleanses us, it’s the atonement being practiced by our King! Human sacrifice to remove sin is against what the most high commanded. He does not change, therefore he would not break his perfect laws.

No read it in context with the whole chapter. Sacrifice for SIN is no longer needed. It said nothing about the peace offering or the meat offerings. If you noticed. Their will be offerings in the new kingdom for remembrance of the blood that was shedded by Yahusha.

@@BMusic93 Ezekiel says nothing about the offering being "for remembrance of the blood that was shedded by Yahusha." Ezekiel makes it clear that these offering are not about remembering anything, they're about making atonement for sin. Paul knew and taught that the ultimate sacrifice was already done by Christ. To show that we are taking God's side, we offer up our sacrifice of broken heart and contrite spirit. (Psalms 51:16-17) Additionally, baptism and receiving the Holy Spirit under proper authority in the right manner, like Jesus did as example for everyone, are also needed for the full armor of God to be able to stand with Him. (Ephesians 6:12-18)

There is no temple to offer sacrifice, and they believe it can only happen at the temple and on the temple mount. Which is occupied by the Muslims.

"What man soever there be of the house of Israel, that killeth an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that killeth it out of the camp, And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people: To the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest, and offer them for peace offerings unto the LORD. And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savour unto the LORD. And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring." Leviticus 17:3-7 Clementine Recognitions I, Chapter XXXVII.-The Holy Place. “In addition to these things, he also appointed a place in which alone it should be lawful to them to sacrifice to God. And all this was arranged with this view, that when the fitting time should come, and they should learn by means of the Prophet that God desires mercy and not sacrifice, they might see Him who should teach them that the place chosen of God, in which it was suitable that victims should be offered to God, is his Wisdom; and that on the other hand they might hear that this place, which seemed chosen for a time, often harassed as it had been by hostile invasions and plunderings, was at last to be wholly destroyed.562 And in order to impress this upon them, even before the coming of the true Prophet, who was to reject at once the sacrifices and the place, it was often plundered by enemies and burnt with fire, and the people carried into captivity among foreign nations, and then brought back when they betook themselves to the mercy of God; that by these things they might be taught that a people who offer sacrifices are driven away and delivered up into the hands of the enemy, but they who do mercy and righteousness are without sacrifices freed from captivity, and restored to their native land. But it fell out that very few understood this; for the greater number, though they could perceive and observe these things, yet were held by the irrational opinion of the vulgar: for right opinion with liberty is the prerogative of a few.” "The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him." Deuteronomy 18:15-19 Clementine Recognitions I, Chapter XXXVI.-Allowance of Sacrifice for a Time. “When meantime Moses, that faithful and wise steward, perceived that the vice of sacrificing to idols had been deeply ingrained into the people from their association with the Egyptians, and that the root of this evil could not be extracted from them, he allowed them indeed to sacrifice, but permitted it to be done only to God, that by any means he might cut off one half of the deeply ingrained evil, leaving the other half to be corrected by another, and at a future time; by Him, namely, concerning whom he said himself, ‘A prophet shall the Lord your God raise unto you, whom ye shall hear even as myself, according to all things which He shall say to you. Whosoever shall not hear that prophet, his soul shall be cut off from his people."

"And on another occasion, some of Yeshua' disciples came and told him of a certain Egyptian, a son of Belial (Satan), who taught others that it was lawful to torment and torture animals, if their suffering brought any profit to man. And hearing this report, Yeshua said unto them: "Verily I say unto you, they who participate in and contemplate profits which are gotten by wronging one of God's innocent creatures, cannot be righteous, nay, nor can they be allowed to touch holy things, or even come near to the table of the Lord, nor can they teach the mysteries of the Kingdom. For I tell ye, those whose hands are stained with blood, and whose mouths are defiled with the flesh of innocent creatures, are not worthy of life in this world, nor in the world to come. Let such be born again to the sacred truths of the kingdom or forever be forgotten of God, for by no means will such enter the Kingdom of light, but will remain in darkness due to their bloodguilt. "Let all know that God giveth the grains and the fruits of the earth for food, both to man and beast, and let no man say he is righteous, if he eat not the lawful sustenance of the body. For truly I tell thee, the robber who breaketh into the house made by man is guilty, but they who break into the house made by God, even of the least of these, are the greatest evil doers.” “Wherefore, I say unto all who desire to be my true disciples, keep your hands from bloodshed and let no flesh meat enter your mouths, for God is just and bountiful, who ordaineth that man shall live by the fruits and seeds of the earth alone. "But this I also tell ye, if any animal suffer greatly, and if its life be a misery unto it, or if it be dangerous unto you, release it from its life quickly, and with as little pain as possible. But remember ye to send it forth in love and mercy and only as the last thing done unto it, after all else hath failed ye. For I tell ye, truly, men fear animals in vain, and seek to destroy them out of fear and ignorance, so judge ye not every animal vicious, wrongly, lest ye be destroying the innocent creatures of God in sin.” "Yea, torment them not nor torture them in life or death or for profit of any kind, lest the Eternal Father withdraw His mercy from you. Yea, shew mercy unto them, as ye expect mercy to be shewed unto you; for every beast, small and great. Hath been given into your hands and under your care, so remember ye, well, whatsoever ye do unto the least of these my children, ye do it unto me. For I am in them and they are in me, truly all of them are my creatures of good and holy standing. "For God cursed not any creature of the earth nor did He curse man, but the evil one bringeth all calamity into the world and did destroy the unity of every kingdom of life. For I tell ye truly, that in all the joys of the animal kingdom, I do rejoice greatly, but in all their afflictions, I am also afflicted. On this account, I say unto you, Se be ye Humane and Kind, one to another, and to all the Creatures of God.” And the people were amazed at Yeshua' authority to speak such words, for many gathered there were flesh eaters and cruel to their animals, for their ignorance of the Holy Law was great and they realized not how they wronged each other and the creatures of God." "And it came to pass that some of Yeshua' disciples, who were stonemasons, were repairing one of the chambers of the Temple in Jerusalem, and Yeshua was passing by. And they said unto him: "Lord and Master, seeist thou these great buildings and what manner of stones are set here..." And Yeshua answered: "Yea, the stonework is indeed great and beautiful, for well wrought are the stones, but I tell ye, the day cometh when not one stone shall be left on another ... For the true Temple is the body of man in which the True God dwelleth by the Spirit. For I say unto thee, when this Temple is destroyed, in three days, God shall raise up a more glorious temple, which the eye of the natural man perceiveth not. "Know ye not that ye are the living temples of the Holy Spirit? And whoso destroyeth one of these temples, the same shall be himself destroyed!" And some of the scribes and the Pharisees who rendered flesh and blood rituals at the Temple, heard Yeshua' words and sought to entangle him in Iris talk and said: "If thou wouldst put away the sacrifice of sheep and oxen and birds, to what purpose was this Temple built for God by Solomon?" And Yeshua said unto them: "It is written in the Prophets, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations, for the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving. But ye know not the Pure Oblation, nor do ye wish to know, for ye have it a house of slaughter and bloodshed, a house filled with many evils. "Again I say unto thee, it is written, From the rising of the sun unto the setting of the same, my Name shall be great among the Gentiles, and incense with a Pure Offering shall be offered unto me. But ye have made it a desolation with your flesh and blood offerings, and use the sweet incense only to cover the ill favour thereof. Know ye, I am not come to destroy the law, but to interpret and fulfill all things spoken of me. "Know ye not what is written? 'Obedience is better than sacrifice and to hearken better than the fat of rams. I, the Lord, am weary of your burnt offerings, and vain oblations; your hands are full of blood.' "And is it not also written, 'What is the sacrifice? Wash you and make you clean and put away the evil from before mine eyes, cease to do evil, learn to do well. Yea, do justice for the fatherless and the widow and all that are oppressed. For by so doing, ye shall fulfill the law ... Pure worshippers worship the Eternal Spirit in purity and in truth..."' And the Pharisees said unto Yeshua, "Who art thou that seekest to do away with the blood rituals and despiseth the seed of Abraham?" And Yeshua said in answer: "Before Abraham was, I am." But they refused to listen to Yeshua' words and said: "He is inspired by a demon," and some others said: "He is mad." And they told these things to the priests and elders, and they were wroth, saying: "He hath spoken blasphemy; let us seek a way to rid ourselves of this one." And Yeshua hearing their words, said further unto them: "I ask ye, how teacheth ye the spiritual matters of God, if ye understand not the physical matters? For if ye have not mercy on the creatures of God that ye do see and touch, how can ye grasp the spiritual things of God which ye see and touch not?" And the Pharisees and scribes looked upon Yeshua with great contempt and remained silent. And Yeshua said unto his disciples: "So it is with the soul of every creature, though unseen by human eyes, for it is hidden within the garment of flesh and blood. Every creature is twofold by nature: for without the spiritual half. there can be no physical manifestation. Therefore, I tell ye, the body is dust, but the soul is of God. Fear not, then, those wicked who destroy the physical body but cannot kill the spiritual soul. For the man of God knows his root, he being of God and God knoweth him, which belongeth to the fold. "Know ye also, that whosoever treateth the least of these the souls of God with contempt, doth the same unto me; for these hypocrites respect not the marvel of life within all things. Yea, they seek the death of things and rejoice therein. Know ye, they originate from the mother of seven evils, for where is suffering and bloodshed, there be Satan also. "So shall these blind guides inherit the place preserved for them, for the Father-Mother above all things, forgives not the wanton sins of evil doers, and excuses not the hardness of hearts and dullness of senses that accompany wicked men. "Flee, then, away from these workers of lawlessness; because they wish not eternal life, and desire to bar all others from the road leading to it. Truly tell ye this day, they are having their reward in full-in no manner shall they enter the kingdom nor receive the promise, for they are as dung upon the surface of the earth. “Seek ye the Holy Law and love and mercy of My ways, and ye shall find eternal life and peace. Separate thyselves from wicked men, who twist and garble the sacred scriptures to satisfy their lust and pleasure." And at a later time, after Yeshua had said many other things unto the Pharisees, certain of the scribes and Elders from the Temple came unto Yeshua saying: "Tell us, Why do thy disciples teach men that it is unlawful to eat the flesh of animals, even though they be offered in sacrifice as Moses ordained? For it is written, God said to Noah, "The fear and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the field, and every bird of the air, and every fish of the sea, into your hand they are delivered.' Why do ye say otherwise?" And Yeshua looked upon them and said in a strong voice: "Ye Hypocrites, well did Esaias speak of you and your forefathers, saying, "This people draweth nigh unto Me with their mouths, and honour me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. For in vain do they worship Me teaching and believing, and teaching for divine doctrine, the commandments of men in my name, but to satisfy their own evil and lusts. "And also Jeremiah did bear testimony when he said, concerning blood offerings and sacrifice: 'I the True God. Commanded none of these things in the day that ye came out of Egypt, but only this I commanded you: To do righteousness, walk in the ancient paths of My laws, so as to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with thy God. But ye did not hearken to Me, Who in the beginning gave you all manner of seed, and fruit of the trees and seed having been for the food and healing of man and beast.'" And the Scribes said unto Yeshua, "Thou speakest against the law! Thy sin is great!" And Yeshua perceiving the hardness of their hearts and the stubbornness of their evil ways, for they were without mercy or goodness, said unto them: "Nay, against Moses I speak not, nor against the ancient law that always was; but against those who corrupted the law, I do speak out! For out of the hardness of your hearts the law was corrupted. "But behold, a greater than Moses is here! For I come to inscribe the law on soft fleshly hearts and not on stone tables, that the meek may live and the wicked be judged. For ye speak according to thy wickedness and ye judge Moses by thy standard of evil. Know ye that Moses, my servant, speaketh in truth of the True God, but thy forefathers, evil in their ways, calleth the truth a lie. and maketh the lie the truth. And ye do believeth the lie every time. because no truth can be found in ye. "Thy law is of the maker of the lie. and thy beliefs are the inventions of thy god, who knoweth not truth, but only the lie. For truth was not found in this one, who thought the impossible thought to be like the Eternal Spirit, but strove not for light, but darkness. Know ye then, ye are workers of darkness, because no light is in thee, for ye behold the Light before thee, but see not. If ye knoweth not the real Moses, ye knoweth not the greater Moses." And the Elders and scribes were angry at Yeshua' words, for they understood him to mean they were wicked and stubborn, and they took up stones to cast at him, but Yeshua passed through their midst, hidden from their violence." "And after many other things were said and done, Yeshua returned to the city, and looked upon the innocent creatures of God awaiting slaughter as daily sacrifice in the temple at Jerusalem. And he said unto his disciples and many people that had gathered around them, for everywhere Yeshua went, crowds surrounded him to listen and hear his wisdom: "Behold these poor innocent beasts of thy earth, they harm not themselves, nor man, nor any other creature. Yea, they eat the green vegetation of the field, sinless and without blood guilt they have remained since their creation. Faithful and obedient they remain to their masters in hope that Humane feelings be their reward in life, but instead they receive every hurt and death at man's hand. Lo, the lust of ignorant and stubborn man brings them down in death and much blood, that men may satisfy the lusts of their own flesh. Such men have hearts, but know them not, for they have become like their idols of stone, hard and vain. "Woe to such blasphemers who reject the Holy Law of the sacredness of all life! Woe to such blind guides with hearts of stone, who use their eyes to lust after things they need not nor are lawful unto them! For they transgress the Law of Moses to maketh themselves fat on the flesh and blood of innocent victims, that God commanded them not even since the beginning! Woe be unto this very temple built by human hands, for the Temple made without hands is here in their midst, but they see or hear not! "For I come to end all sacrifice and bloodshed and tell ye, it. ye cease not offering and eating of flesh and blood, the wrath of God shall not cease from you, even as it came to your fathers in the wilderness, who under Moses lusted for flesh, which they ate to their fulness. and were filled with rottenness, and the plague consumed them according to their evil desires. "For I say unto you, Though ye be gathered together in my bosom, if ye keep not all my commandments, I will cast you forth. For if ye keep not the lesser revelations, who, ask, shall give you the greater ones? For since time immemorial, God hath at no time requireth animal or human sacrifices, lest He be inferior to the Holy Law! Nor hast God permitted man or beast to devour one another for food, lest He be ignorant of His own Love! How then, do ye eat flesh and give sacrifices of blood according to the law of Humane Love. "Ye know not the True God, but worship the perverted god of thy world, even Satan the one and same father of the sword and bloodshed. For by this one, death entered into the world and death spread to all things, for all things are in bondage as slaves to the master of the lie. But I come to set free those imprisoned by chains of sin, and give forth my Holy Law again unto the nations that they may know the only True God of love and mercy. For my God above suffereth sin and error of men much, lest He put a swift end to the vanity of the world and cut off His Elect Seed. "Be ye faithful to the complete law of God, lest ye stumble in thy evil ways and meet death as thy final reward. For he that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much, and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. So it is with the Holy Law, for the first truths you keepeth not, but seek after the greater. Seek ye first the laws of God and all else will be revealed unto you. No man may digest the solid food of God, lest first he taketh of the liquid, for my law is the water of life. Drink ye, like pure water, and all other mysteries of God will be opened to you, and then ye will know the True God and His Good Works. "For ye desire to serve two masters, one good, one evil, and cannot, for either ye will hate the one, and love the other, or else ye will stick to the one and despise the other.... Know ye then, thy true root, whether ye be good or evil, and then ye shall know the truth that giveth life and health. Ye cannot serve both the True God and Satan, for the True God is All Love and His Holy Law leadeth to All Life, there being no death in His Order and Household. "But know ye that Satan is the god of death and bloodshed and also giveth to the people many unholy laws that the True God hateth and condemneth. Know ye not that the two cannot mix, but the inferior shall be done away with, for the Holy Law has served as judge over the living and the dead since the days of Adam and Eve. Hence, ye are they which justify yourselves before men and God, for God knoweth your hearts and your ways... "For know ye, that the same Law and the Prophets were here until John and changeth not. Yea, even before the foundations of thy earth were laid, the Law was and always will be ... Yea, it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than one tittle of the Law to fail its purpose. Keep ye the Law, then, and all other things will be added unto you, for there is no thing above the Law, and any thing which comes below the Law, is not perfect nor complete, nor is it from the True God of Love..." And the Pharisees heard all these sayings of Yeshua, and observed that he was speaking of them, for they lived according to doctrines of men and of the devil, and not the true law Moses hath given them in the wilderness, they being responsible for the lawlessness of animal sacrifice and flesh eating among Israel." "Do ye beware of false prophets, who indeed come unto you in sheep's clothing, pretending to be innocent and harmless as sheep, but inwardly are ravening wolves, with appetites lusting after the blood and flesh of innocent creatures. Yea, their hands are dripping with blood and they boast in their evil and say it is good and deceive many at the entrance of the gate. Ye shall know them by their works, for though they speak love, they give only hate and by their fruits ye shall readily know their true root-for it is they who call truth a lie, and the lie, truth. "For do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? So shall it be, that every good tree bringeth forth holy fruit, but a corrupt tree bringeth forth only evil fruit. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know the good from the evil. Beware lest ye be misled and find not the tree of life... "For many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, have we not prophesied in thy Name... And in thy Name done many wonderful works? But I will say unto them, "I never knew you: depart from me, false witnesses, ye that work only evil things." And Yeshua said unto the people many other things as written for a testimony unto all nations. And when he had finished his sermon on the mountain, the people were astonished at his great perception of all things, for Yeshua taught them as one appealing to reason and the human heart, and not as the scribes and the Pharisees, who taught only by blind authority." Essene Humane Gospel of Christ "And at another time while Yeshua sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him in private, and asked: "Tell us, Lord, thou holy Teacher of Righteousness, concerning the end of evil and that shall be the sign that we should know of thy coming again... And Yeshua said unto them, "Take warning, that no man deceive you; for many shall come in my Name, saying, 'I am the Christ, and the truth, follow me and be saved.' But great shall be the number, the false prophets will deceive! Yea, many will take up the Holy Name in vain and misuse the meaning thereof and cause great confusion among the people and mislead many. For many things shall take place upon earth that hath not taken place before, nay, nor seen by any generation, except those of that generation. "For ye shall hear of great wars and also much talk of war and many will be threatened with destruction, but be ye not troubled, for many things must come to pass yet before the end of all evil things ... And in those days, the last before the Great Rest. Those that have power, shall gather to themselves in greed, the lands and the riches of the earth, for their own lusts, and thus shall oppress the greater number who have not. "For in those days, the many shall be held in bondage. but yet not in prison, and they shall be used to increase the riches of the greedy. Yea, even the innocent beasts of the field shall be greatly oppressed, for every cruelty and lust shall be worked against my innocent brothers and sisters of the great Household of God; for many shall lust after the taste of flesh, and blood shall flow freely as high as the bridle of the horse! "In that time of trouble, no creature of God, nay, man nor beast shall escape the cruel judgment of that wicked generation, save mine holy elect under the charge of mine holy angels. For I say unto ye this day, that a strange saviour shall rule the minds of many, and that generation shall believe not in the evil of the world, but shall judge all evil, good, and all good, evil. "For many shall the miracles of the strange god work in the earth, and the people shall worship that saviour with much devotion, for all hope rest in the god that is not a god but decieveth the people of every nation. "But the Eternal Spirit of All, shall send forth His holy messengers, and they shall restore the holy law anew, which wicked men have hidden by their vain traditions, and those that believe not the holy law shall perish ... And in that day shall all they that keepeth my law and commandments be hated of all nations for my Name's sake, for many shall be offended at my Holy Laws, and betray one another and shall hare one another, for many false prophets shall indeed arise: and shall deceive many. "Yea, I tell ye, in that age yet to come, the Father's Name shall be blasphemed in a manner like never before in the history of the world, greater than even the star count of heaven itself! For hands dripping with the innocent blood of my creatures will take up my name in vain and mislead many, and they will follow the ways of the Pharisees and not the true path of the Pure Oblation. Yea. many lies will be spoken of me in that age, things I spoke not unto ye, nor taught not, for they will lust after much flesh and sin, and their evil will mount higher than a new moon of thy season and many will believe, and be lost. "Yea, sheep will there be but shepherds few, for the wolves shall destroy the sheep and scatter them about as the north wind scatters the fallen leaves. For many are the hopes of that age to come but like the bow in the sky after the rain cometh, disappeareth into nothingness. Though great be their saviour, only hopelessness shall reign over the nations. "I tell ye, better for that generation not to have been born into the world, for darkness filleth that age and gross darkness the people where the lie ruleth the hearts of many ... Yea, I tell unto ye truly, if any man then shall say unto you, "Lo, here is the Christ,' or 'there he be,' be ye on guard, and haste not to believe. For there shall arise many false Christs, and false prophets, speaking the lie against the Humane Son of God, and they shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch that, if it were possible, to even deceive the very elect of God. "Wherefore if they shall say unto you. 'Behold, he is in the desert'-go not forth; 'Behold, he is in the secret place haste not to believe. For as lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son Of Man be. "For remember, wheresoever the carcass is, there will the vultures be gathered together. For these birds eat of the dead and do gather 'round for the feast and know not the living. Know ye also, therefore, that the true disciples of Christ are among the living only and are not found gathered 'round dead things."For as in the days that were before the flood. they were eating flesh and blood, and drinking sour wine, and marrying for unnatural reasons... Until the day that Noah entered into the ark and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be." Essene Humane Gospel o Christ

I don't understand. I have read the whole Bible several times and it says many times how God likes the smell of burning animals and He has his people splash blood all over His house and He wanted multiple animals burnt for Him every day forever according to the Old Testament. And then He impregnated a very young teenage girl and had His own child deliberately killed in front of her as a blood sacrifice to Himself!?! This is really hard for me and scary. It seems like a horror movie!!! And soon, according to Revelation with His scrolls and trumpets and bowls of wrath, most humans will be tortured, killed and then tortured permanently forever! It is terrifying!!! Why does God need death to be nice and forgive people? I can forgive pretty easy and have never needed anyone to kill anything for me to forgive anyone. I don't understand.

Josh, good question. I honestly have wondered this myself. Not sure if this will help, but this is just my thoughts. God is perfect, we are not. For whatever reason, death is the consequence of sin. In my opinion it is probably something we don't really understand, but it would make sense that there is an actual natural consequence of sin, as in our bodies change when we sin. I'll give an example, it has been proven that you can change your body strickly by thinking, or by how you act. For example, there was a study that was begun around 80 years ago to track what caused early death in certain people. The overwhelming, and shocking finding was not what you eat, how you exercise, etc. but if you had close and meaning relationships. If you learned to love, to be a friend, to care, and to serve, you were more likely to live longer than by any other predictor. How can this be explained? Why would this be the number one factor of a long life? I think there are things, like sin, which literally cause our body to die, not just spiritually, but physically. It is just a natural consequence that has nothing to do with God. I think in large part because there is a power in love, friendship, devotion and service. It just changes you. I can't describe it, but I assume you have seen how being positive, loving others, caring about others, just makes you a more happy person. It makes you have reason to keep going. There are just certain things that are just "right" and certain things that are just "wrong". Killing is wrong, anywhere. People have tried to make excuses, or justify their actions, but it is just wrong. Someone who does wrong things is different. They actually change. I have seen it numerous times. With that, my opinion is not that God requires death (meaning He is this mean God who just wants to punish), but instead KNOWS the natural consequences of sin, hate, lust, envy, etc. He know how it changes us, he knows that when we sin, it changes our body and minds. He wants us to be free of this, so he set rules to help us learn and grow to be more like Him. Just as a father or mother here on earth will allow a child to fall, in order that they learn to walk, so God allows us to make mistakes, knowing that that is how we learn. If He does not let us fall, we will never learn to walk in essence. That said, He loves us, and does not want the natural consequences of sin to be permanent. For whatever reason (and I don't understand it), the death of Jesus covers our sins, and erases the consequences of sin. Because of Him we all can be forgiven, and be resurrected again. For me, the message is not a message of blood, death and killing, but that God knows the consequences, and because He is all knowing, He set in motion certain things so we could once again return with Him. The death of the animals, in my opinion, was not to show that God loved blood, or just wanted death, but to show the severity of sin. His hope was that because of the symbolism, His sons and daughters would choose to do the right. He knows we will sin (just like a parent knows their child will fall when learning to walk), but with this in mind, He set in motion a beautiful message of hope and forgiveness. A message that would be vividly taught through the sacrifice of animals, which would foreshadow the death of Jesus Christ. How it all works, I don't know. I do know it works though. I have felt it over and over again. I wish I could better describe it, but it just works. Your question is a very good one, and I'm not sure if my answer helps at all, but just my thoughts.

Thank you for the kind reply. The Bible is clear in Genesis 3:22-23 that God wanted all people to die, so humans and all their offspring were barred from the only tree that would keep them alive. God wanted everyone to die. God decided to kill everyone, that was His choice. And He decided to make humans with a sinful nature instead of a neutral or good nature. How could a blood sacrifice erase the consequences for my actions? That seems pretty evil. Killing millions of innocent animals, burning them to ashes, and spraying their blood all over everything probably is not the best way to teach people ethics. It does seem disgusting, though. I appreciate your thoughts. You stated you know that killing is wrong anywhere, but killing is precisely what God wants people to do a lot in the Bible. Why would God order people to do immoral things? He personally has His own child unwillingly sacrificed!?! Is He evil, but we are deceived into thinking He is good? If He was actually evil, how could you tell?

How can God be perfect if He condoned slavery and killed and lots of innocent babies and even tortured some of them? He even condoned killing the unborn (Number 5:11-31, Hosea 9:14-16 and Hosea 13:16)!!! It does seem natural to me that people would live longer, better lives the more optimal their lives are and the more good people they can learn from in their lives. If the punishment for sin is eternal suffering in Hell, how could Jesus pay for my sin without being eternally punished in Hell? All Jesus did is die like all of us do, right? Is Jesus in Hell paying my eternal punishment? Why should I think my sin penalty has been paid, when it obviously has not? Thank you for your help and kind reply.

I don't see in Genesis 3:22-23 that it says God wanted people to die. I assume you mean that because God would not allow them to partake of the tree that this means he wanted them to die? If this is the case, that is not my understanding of the passage. Again, just my thoughts here, take them for what they are worth. When God told Adam and Eve that they would die if they ate the Tree of Knowledge and Good and Evil, that was their choice to do so. They chose death, not God. The reason he did not allow them to then eat of the fruit of Tree of Life is because if they ate of the tree, because they had sinned, they would live forever with sin, and because God cannot live with sin, they would be banned from His presence. In other words, if He had said "I want them to live forever, so I will allow them to eat" then He could not live with them. We do believe that at some point we will have the chance to eat of the Tree of Life, but until we are without sin, it would not allow us to live with God, just to live forever. I would recommend reading (even if you don't believe in the Book of Mormon) 2 Nephi 2 (here is a link: www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/2). It talks about the Fall of Adam and why it was important. This is (as I believe) a book of scripture that has the words of prophets that lived here in the Americas. In it, several of the prophets talk about the fall, with more clarity than anywhere I know. That does not mean to say I still don't have questions, but it helps a lot. I can give you some other chapters as well if you are interested. As for the killing animals part. Keep in mind that many, and in fact most of the types of sacrifices were NOT actually all burned up, but instead eaten by the family or the priests. Also, remember that this is a very different time then our own. I believe God works with what people understand and know for their day. In ancient times sacrifices were common, killing animals with your own hand was common. Today we just buy meat from a butcher and never see the meat, but in ancient times it was just standard. Blood and death would be far more understood then today. I think that is in large part why we today have a hard time with it. We are so removed from death and blood, that it seems foreign. When I said killing was wrong, I meant killing other human beings. Not sure if you are a vegetarian, but if not, most the world today still kills animals and eats them, they just don't see the full process. I do believe that at some point we will not kill animals (in the next life), but sadly in this life eating meat, eggs, is pretty hard not to do. Especially in ancient time. You needed the protein, and eating animals was just a part of life. It does not make killing right, but God has said we can in this mortal life. Killing other humans is not right. Probably does not answer the question, and it is a good one, but there is an answer. As for the many babies, slavery, killing, etc. that God has commanded, I honestly don't have an answer. I do believe that killing another human in some cases is accepted by God, because of self protection, such as if your family is in danger. That said, I think many of the stories in the Old Testament may be more tradition, and not totally true (meaning the writers who wrote it down hundred of years after likely added details, or embellished stories to teach their message). They were not historians like we know today. They just were not. They would change things to better fit the story. That said, it is possible that some of the stories that says "God commanded them to kill" may have been more like they killed and wanting to justify themselves and their people, they said God said to do it. We really just don't know. I wish I had a good answer for you. The one thing I know is that things just make more sense when you add the Gospel. If you don't, there are far more questions. Otherwise we just live in a world of misery and injustice and it will never be made right. We believe that when Jesus suffered in Gethsemane, he suffered the pains of Hell. In another words He did not just die (many have died) but somehow (I don't know how) He actually took my sins upon Him and in the Garden of Gethsemane he actually suffered, not just died. I also think that the term "eternal damnation" is not what we think it is. God calls it "eternal" because of its nature, not because it actually has to last for eternity. We actually believe (as Mormons) that all will have a chance to repent, and at some point receive some level of glory. Meaning that even the very wicked will still be able to suffer for a "period of time" and then be resurrected (the Bible teaches that because of Christ all will be resurrected) and receive at least some level of glory. This does not mean all will be in heaven with God, but they will not suffer forever. God loves us, and even loves His wicked children and has made a way for them to still receive at least a small portion of glory, though not live with God. Josh, you have some very good questions. I am sure this does not answer them. I wish I could better answer them. Simply put, I am still trying to find many of these answers myself, but I can say that little by little I feel I am getting answers. I think God purposely does this to be honest. He wants us to think, to reason, to ask, so that we can learn. If we had all the answers right out, we would not appreciate the process. As I heard someone once say, it is the journey, not the destination that is most significant. You asking questions will make you a better person. You will have to think through things. You will have to ask God, and seek Him for answers. As you do this, you WILL find answers. I have seen that in my life. And as you do, you will feel more light and love from God. I wish I knew why the Bible has some of its stories. I don't understand. But I do know that God answers prayers (in His own timing) and that we can find peace and be forgiven. I have felt it time and time again. I'll be gone for the next 10 days, so if I don't respond, just know that I am not ignoring you. I am happy to try (key word try) to help with your questions, and am happy to do so. Perhaps after going back and forth a bit, something might help. That would be my hope. I don't have all the answers. I just don't. But maybe I can at least bring a little clarity. Keep asking, and don't give up yet. Keep looking till you find it.

So if it’s not in the Bible it didn’t happen? You realize there are only a few chapters in he Bible about Adam. That would mean he had a very boring life if the only things recorded are that in the Bible. Also, who taught Adam about sacrifice if God no longer spoke to him because he was no longer in the garden? How did he learn of sacrifice? Where in the Bible does it teach this? Or did Adam just make it up because he Bible does not say where he learned it.

Ok. I'll offer my piece here. I'm currently re-reading the bible. It's a chronological one year bible in NIV translation. And I plan on reading it everyday for the rest of my life. I just read Numbers chapters 27-29. God 100% commanded Moses to make these sacrifices regularly. But i haven't read any canon bible passages concerning the exact meanings or ceremonial precautions mentioned in this video. That being said, the symbolism makes sense to me. But if it is only supported in latter day saint texts, and not God's Word in the bible, I can't exactly accept it. I'm not willing to go as far as calling it snake oil. Because Leviticus is just around the corner. I'll either confirm it in my reading, or someone will produce some verses and say "it is written". But make no mistake. God required sacrifices.

There is and always was only one true and eternal priesthood given by god which is the holy communion, the eucharist, which is the perfect symbolic meaning of what Jesus has done for us to reveal the perfect love of the heavenly father on the cross. It was given right from the beginning, all patriarchs new the eucharist and also what it symbolized of course, even Adam was promise that the Messiah would come to bring everything to it's root again. You just have to read apocryphal sources like the writings of Abraham and Essene writings for example. Jesus and all his early followers rejected the animal sacrifices in the temple, because they were not from the true god but from satan who is the god of the sword, death and destruction. Almost all the prophets in the bible, especially Isaiah and also Jeremiah, tell it plain and simple over and over to those who have ears to listen. Also Jesus and his early followers never ate flesh. "I am come to end the sacrifices and feasts of blood, and if ye cease not offering and eating of flesh and blood_, the wrath of God shall not cease from you, even as it came to your fathers in the wilderness, who lusted for flesh, and they eat to their content, and were filled with rottenness, and the plague consumed them. And I say unto you, Though ye be gathered together in my bosom, if ye keep not my commandments I will cast you forth. For if ye keep not thelesser mysteries, who shall give you the greater. He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in tire least is unjust also in much."

Hey friend, I'm not to certain as to what you're arguing because I had a difficult time finding the scriptures you were trying to reference. If you could clarify again which scriptures you are referencing, that would be appreciated. From what I could gather of the scriptures I did find that related to sacrifice, the general statement is that it is more important to desire mercy and knowledge of God than to perform a ritualistic sacrifice. Is that something you agree with? That sentiment complies with much of what is taught in the Tanakh/Old Testament, and even in this video it is mentioned (11:04 - 11:38) that it is important for one to only perform any sacrifice with the proper intent of repentance and to then go away from that ritualistic cleansing of sin, turning away from sin. You say that because Jesus Christ (Yeshua) gave himself as sacrifice for the world, that no sacrifices are needed anymore. That is correct because that fulfilled the Old Testament Law of Moses. Now there are no ritualistic sacrifices performed as a type of Christ to remind ourselves, through that symbolism, of Christ's atoning sacrifice. The practice of sacrificing animals as a type of Christ was for the purpose of looking forward to it. Now that it's happened in the past we no longer have to do that and it is only asked that we give "a broken heart and a contrite spirit" as our sacrifice. This is a higher law to live, and very well may be more difficult. Now with that said, in Judaism it is believed that Jesus was not the Christ and that the Messiah has yet to come, therefore they believe they are still under the Law of Moses, needing to continue with this ritualistic sacrifice as it points towards the coming saviour's sacrifice. That is a fundamental difference between Christianity and Judaism. Jewish tradition dictates that eventually a 3rd temple will be build and then they can perform those rituals again. I'm unsure where they claim the authority to do so, but that's not for me to argue as it's not my belief system.

I have read quite a few books on this, from many denominations, and they all come to the agreement that Adam offered sacrifice first. One Jewish book I read, made by the Temple Institute, even has a painting they commissioned of Adam and Eve offering sacrifice. After all, where did Cain and Abel learn to offer sacrifice (Genesis 4)? Do you think that Adam would not have known about sacrifice when his first two sons are offering sacrifice? Would it not be Adam that would have taught them? Do you think Adam was so oblivious to the fact that sacrifice was offered by his two sons, and a good thing commanded of the Lord, and yet he does not do it himself? Yes, the Bible does not teach this directly, but again, it is very much implied in the Bible. I have answered your question so I would ask you how you would solve the fact that God reveals to Cain and Abel sacrifice, but not to Adam, their father and the great Patriarch of the human race. And also why it would not be Adam that would teach his sons about this important ritual?

@@messagesofChrist Thank you for your reply, but it sounds like a challenge to a duel of some kind. I see we share the faith and believe we stand on the same side, why duel about some intricacies? Anyway, I agree there is very high probability that Adam started doing some sacrifices at some stage, just like Noah learnt them from someone and this was not specified either in the Bible, similarly with Abraham, Jacob... I was only expecting video to be based on the Bible as it is read... I believe such further deductions will come naturally to the reader, why to set them up front like that in the video. I just like when video reflects the bible thoroughly and leaves the rest to the reader.

The OLD Testament contains a FALSE view of GOD. This is why JESUS came to teach people that GOD is not a war-mongering, genital mutilating, hater of one's enemies -- as portrayed in the OLD Testament (teachings of the Jews) -- but a loving, forgiving GOD who teaches to love one's enemies, forgive those who treat one badly, and create a world of PEACE. This confusion within the church began when spies working for some top Rabbis in the first few centuries AD, were able to convince Church leaders to incorporate the OLD testament into the 'Bible'. This infiltration has led to massive confusion as to the true nature of GOD.

@@floridaessene yes, this makes some sense. New testament Jesus is in dark contrast to the God of old testament. Killing of animals, burning the flesh. I am from India and started reading new testament, felt good and started following Jesus. But, once i got into old testament. The day i read Leviticus, i stopped reading Bible.

@@nagendrarp2453 Many early Christian sects completely rejected the Old Testament, describing the OT 'god' Yahweh (God of the Israelites) as violent and evil. I feel they were correct.

The God of the bible is a bloodthirsty psychopath. His anger is born out of ignorance. If he was all knowing he wouldn't be angry nor surprised. He would never regret making creation as he did in genesis. People who worship jesus worship blood sacrifice magick. A god who needs sacrifices for forgiveness is incapable of forgiving without sacrifices. It's just a petty and insecure God who needs payment and constant attention from his creation.
