  People think that not getting revenge means the person gets away with it. Just because you forgive does not in anyway mean that they get won’t get the consequences of their actions. This will come back at them later in life one way or another. The point of forgiveness is restoration

  This is a difficult teaching to follow, saints. The Sudanese, the Congolese, the Palestinians, and many others across the world would struggle to faithfully apply this scripture in their lives with enemies that are so relentless and powerful. This call to love creatively and generously as a gateway to peace is one that will personally take a lifetime for me to fully grasp and portray in my own life. May God help us love our enemies, but also may our enemies' hearts surrender to God.

  What I love about Ecclesiastes is its pure honesty. It even says that fearing God and applying wisdom is ultimately meaningless because there is injustice in the world. I remember reading this book with an atheist friend and he was surprised to see how similarly he and the teacher thought. That's what I love about the Bible. It's not a book trying to convince you about God (though parts of it, yes it does). It's a history of a people struggling to have faith in God, yet ultimately finding Him at the end.

  What is missing is that Romans practiced ancestor veneration. The patriarch of the house was supposed to maintain a shrine in his house to venerate the clan's ancestors and the patron gods. So, Christians' reluctance to worship them was seen as treason to the family.

  I think you've gone a bit far afield on this one. Certainly, God uses dragon symbolism to describe Satan, but creatures like Leviathan and Behemoth are described as real creatures. Dragon symbolism means nothing if there are no real creatures to support the symbolism.

  Where isn't it is a good answer. Idolatry. It's not a stone, wooden, or steel object, but gold, silver, and money has seemed to transcend down through time. Idolatry. Something we live more than God and His Word. Idolatry. Something we place above or before God. Something we have made more important. Idolatry. Our own nonprofits in the Name of the Lord. Our missionaries even possibly? That is, it's being done for man's glory and recognition as in look what I accomplished with the Lord, rather than what the Lord has accomplished through us and others. It's great others are being led and taught about Jesus, but some have turned their ministry into Idolatry. We were all called to share and make disciples of one another. Teach that some...so Where isn't it?
